Stockpiling for an Exiled General Through My Store's Back Door

Chapter 180: Chapter 180: Interesting Things

Xu Panqing chimed in. ”Miss Buwan, why did you... bring so much?” She felt genuinely embarrassed to accept so much from her.

Seeing that Hua Buwan already had two people helping her on either side, Ling Yunge walked over to Ling Qianjun to help him carry things instead.

After setting her items down, Hua Buwan wiped the sweat from her forehead and smiled. ”It’s not that much. These are all things we’ll need tonight. However, only we can use them. Once we’re done, I’ll have to take them back with me. For now, it’s not appropriate for these items to be seen by others.”

The Ling family naturally understood her reasoning and agreed without hesitation.

”Come, come, let’s sort things out first. I’ll take you beach foraging later.” Hua Buwan went to the door and cracked it open to peek outside.

By this time, the crowd at the beach had thinned out considerably. Most of the people were covered in dirt and soaked to the bone, returning in disappointment. They were all empty-handed, having caught absolutely nothing. Some had long since given up the struggle, turning toward the mountains to see if they could find anything edible—wild vegetables, fruits, game... anything would do. Still, a few others held their breath in stubborn determination, refusing to leave until they caught at least one piece of seafood.

”We need to wait a little longer; there are still quite a few people on the beach. Here’s the plan: I’ll explain how beach foraging works first. That way, we won’t have to figure it out when we actually head out.” Hua Buwan turned around, whipping out her phone with an excited expression. Haha, she was going to play a tutorial for them!

In the video, people were running happily along the beach, chasing the waves and gathering various shells and seafood. The clip detailed how to catch specific types of creatures, where to find them, and what bait to use to lure them out. It covered absolutely everything one could possibly think of. Hua Buwan herself was mesmerized; even she didn’t know as much as the tutorial covered.

The Ling family’s eyes went wide. They stared fixedly at the screen, deeply drawn in by the scenes unfolding before them. When the video ended, a sudden realization dawned on them—so this was what beach foraging meant! They immediately began discussing it excitedly, imagining themselves experiencing the same joy down on the shore. 𝘧𝓇ℯℴ𝓂

Ling Qianfan said excitedly, ”This is truly miraculous! I never imagined there could be such a way to obtain food.”

Ling Yunge sighed in awe. ”In the past, we only knew how to fish by the sea. We had no idea we could forage the tidal flats like this.”

Hua Buwan watched them with a smile, her heart filled with joy. She knew that this video had not only introduced them to the fun of foraging but had also opened a window for them to understand the modern world.

Soon after, the Ling family clamored to give it a try. They couldn’t wait to gather their tools and set off for the beach. There, they would personally experience the thrill of the hunt and feel the charm of nature.

Upon arriving at the seaside, Hua Buwan excitedly showed off her foraging tools to the Ling family, which included small buckets, shovels, and fishing nets. She also shared some of her own tips and tricks, such as how to locate the hiding spots of shells and crabs.

They strolled along the shore, carefully observing every little detail on the sandy beach. Hua Buwan guided them from the side, pointing out where potential treasures might be hidden.

Before long, the Ling family discovered several shells and crabs. Thrilled, they tossed them into the small buckets, their faces beaming with joyous smiles. Hua Buwan also felt incredibly happy. Foraging on the beach with the Ling family was turning out to be an absolute delight.
