Naruto: Becoming the Soul King

The battle was still raging.

The ground had been completely devastated.

Fragments of Wood Release were scattered everywhere, while the earth was riddled with craters as though a violent storm had torn through the entire area.

”Tch, just how many Sharingan did this guy transplant into himself? I’ve already killed him three times, and he still hasn’t run out!?”

Watching Orochimaru’s ”corpse” disappear before he reappeared elsewhere, Seiryū clicked his tongue in annoyance.

He had already killed Orochimaru three times!

Yet Orochimaru continued using Izanagi to rewrite his own ”death,” sacrificing a Sharingan each time instead of truly dying.

Just how many Sharingan had he transplanted into himself?

The Forbidden Jutsu Izanagi was truly absurd. Whether the cause was Genjutsu or Ninjutsu, as long as Orochimaru activated it beforehand, he could rewrite ”reality.”

He was like an unkillable cockroach.

It was disgusting!

’Boom, boom, boom.’

Isshiki’s attacks continued without pause.

The massive black cubes and black rods were incredibly heavy, and every time they struck the ground, the earth shook violently.

Jigen’s body had already been shattered by Seiryū, meaning he had technically ”died” once.

As a result, Isshiki had been forced to ”reincarnate” through Jigen’s body, restoring his peak combat power.

His combat power was even greater than Madara’s as the Ten-Tails Jinchūriki.

If the Six Paths level were divided into different tiers, then Isshiki would undoubtedly stand at the very peak of it.

He was only one Chakra Fruit away from reaching Kekkei Mōra!

Although reincarnating through an incompatible body placed a time limit on him, and Isshiki would eventually die if he remained in this state for too long, his power still could not be underestimated.

At the very least, Seiryū had to take him seriously!

’Boom!’

Seiryū punched straight through Hashirama’s enormous Wood Release Buddha.

The massive construct cracked apart as a huge section of its body was destroyed, while Hashirama’s Edo Tensei body was shattered along with it.

”Bakudō.”

With a single Bakudō, Hashirama was sealed just like the other Edo Tensei shinobi, completely losing the ability to fight.

Only Orochimaru and Isshiki remained on the battlefield.

”My Chakra consumption is getting a little high. Damn it, battles at the Six Paths level really magnify the weakness of having limited Chakra reserves.”

Seiryū sensed the Chakra remaining within his body and frowned slightly.

He had already fought an entire battle against Madara, consuming a considerable amount of Chakra.

Now, he was fighting Isshiki after the latter had regained his peak strength.

The weakness of Seiryū’s total Chakra reserves was beginning to show.

Power gained through multiple transformations could not be sustained forever.

”It seems you’re reaching the limit of how long you can maintain that state, Seiryū-kun.”

Orochimaru’s perception was also extremely sharp.

He could tell that Seiryū’s remaining Chakra would not allow him to maintain this form much longer, and an amused look appeared in his eyes.

Their objective had already been achieved.

They did not need to defeat Seiryū.

The important thing was to stall him and exhaust his Chakra.

Once Seiryū could no longer maintain this state, especially after consuming so much Chakra, he would have no choice but to leave.

The Sharingan Orochimaru had obtained through his dealings with Madara were proving extremely useful.

He could still ”die” several more times.

”More or less. It’s really troublesome. I simply haven’t had enough time yet. Once I truly reach the Six Paths level, my Chakra reserves won’t be a weakness anymore.”

Seiryū pursed his lips.

He had only possessed Yang Power for a short time.

The Power of All Creation produced through the combination of Yin and Yang had not yet accumulated enough to allow his body to undergo a complete qualitative transformation.

The Yang Power generated through Quincy Vollständig and the Yin Power connected to his Shinigami abilities would combine to produce the Power of All Creation.

Once that power accumulated to a sufficient level, it would allow Seiryū’s existence to advance to an even higher level.

The Six Paths level!

”You truly are extraordinary.”

Isshiki’s eyes were cold, and the killing intent within them was unmistakable.

”You’re merely a descendant of Kaguya Ōtsutsuki. Your bloodline isn’t pure, and you don’t even possess the characteristics of the Ōtsutsuki Clan, yet you’ve managed to reach this level through your own efforts.”

Isshiki no longer had any way to retreat.

He needed to find a suitable ”vessel” for reincarnation as soon as possible.

Otherwise, he would die.

That was also why he had fought so aggressively moments earlier.

If he had not been forced to reincarnate through Jigen’s body, he would still have had room to maneuver.

But now he had only one path left.

He had to obtain Madara’s body!

He could only hope Madara’s body was compatible enough to fully accept his Kāma within three days, allowing Isshiki to reincarnate successfully.

”After all, I’m a genius.”

Seiryū grinned.

Then his expression gradually became more intense.

”Let’s continue. I haven’t reached my limit yet, and I’m not going to let either of you get what you want so easily.”

Who did they think he was?

Would he retreat?

No!

At worst, he would simply fight them until neither side had anything left!

Seiryū had never approached situations like an ordinary person.

These two alone were nowhere near enough to make him back down, and the intensity of the battle was only making him more excited.

”Hmm?”

However, at that moment, Seiryū suddenly sensed something.

His brows furrowed, and he glanced toward Isshiki.

”It seems you didn’t come here completely unprepared.”

Konoha was under attack.

It was Urashiki.

The Chakra of ordinary shinobi was not enough for Urashiki to recover properly.

His best option was still a Tailed Beast.

So Urashiki had invaded Konoha!

His target was the Nine-Tails!

Tsunade had sent the information to Seiryū through the modified Flying Raijin formula.

Faced with this situation, Seiryū had to return and check what was happening.

Konoha’s current combat power was extremely formidable.

Tsunade, Sasuke, and Nagato were all present, and each of them possessed strength approaching the Six Paths level.

Fighting Urashiki should not have been a problem.

But Urashiki was still a Kekkei Mōra-level existence.

Even if his actual combat ability was lacking, his fundamental level of power still exceeded theirs.

And after being defeated by Seiryū once, Urashiki would certainly be far more cautious.

More importantly, the timing was too coincidental.

To prevent anything unexpected from happening, Seiryū could not ignore the situation.

Compared with the people he cared about, everything else was secondary.

”It seems that guy has made his move as well.”

Hearing Seiryū’s words, Isshiki immediately guessed what had happened.

”The timing is quite convenient. At least he’s proving somewhat useful.”

Urashiki must have taken action.

This was not something Isshiki had arranged.

He and Urashiki did not have a superior and subordinate relationship, nor would Urashiki simply obey his commands.

Urashiki had most likely realized that Seiryū was being held here and decided this was the perfect opportunity to seize the Nine-Tails.

The timing was certainly ideal.

”I’ll let you go for now.”

Seiryū glanced at both of them and spoke calmly.

”Next time, you won’t be this fortunate. When we meet again, you’ll be facing an even stronger version of me.”

His figure flashed.

Then Seiryū disappeared from the battlefield.

There was no reason to keep fighting them here.

With Konoha under attack, he naturally needed to return before anything unexpected happened.

He could deal with these two next time.

Besides, by then, his strength should have improved even further.

He was already not far from truly reaching the Six Paths level.
