Naruto: Becoming the Soul King

Madara had not triggered a mission, which left Seiryū somewhat disappointed. However, he suspected that it might have been the type of reward that only triggered after defeating the opponent.

Would the system only issue a notification after he took Madara down?

Now that Urashiki had triggered a system mission, Seiryū naturally had to take it seriously. As long as he completed the mission, the reward would be his.

As for what the Ōtsutsuki Clan or the Zero Division truly were, whatever the system said was the truth.

He had already grown accustomed to the system’s strange explanations.

A battle was inevitable sooner or later, and with the mission motivating him, Seiryū was full of enthusiasm!

”Huh?”

Urashiki felt as though he had misheard.

He wanted him to kneel and bow his head?

What nonsense was this lowly monkey saying?

Urashiki felt deeply insulted. His crimson tomoe-patterned Rinnegan stared at Seiryū, and his eyes filled with killing intent after being offended by someone he considered an ant.

’Boom!’

Urashiki raised his hand, and his Rinnegan released a Dōjutsu that controlled repulsive force.

It transformed into an invisible shockwave that swept forward, intending to crush Seiryū like an ant.

Seiryū’s strength appeared inferior to that descendant of Kaguya who possessed the Rinnegan.

Urashiki could not even be bothered to waste another word on him.

”You truly harbor evil intentions. You even dare attack me, the future Soul King. It seems I must make you understand your position.”

Seiryū threw a punch.

The force of his fist transformed into a dragon and shattered the vast repulsive force, stirring up powerful winds around him.

”This is not a place where you can act however you please.”

With a thought, the Yin Seal on Seiryū’s forehead lit up.

Dragon Vein Chakra began flowing throughout his body as he activated Hollowification!

’Boom!’

A vast and powerful surge of Chakra erupted from Seiryū’s body, whipping up strong winds and sending dust into the air.

Seiryū’s appearance began to change.

His height rapidly increased to one hundred and eighty centimeters. Small dragon horns grew from his head, while purple dragon scales appeared across parts of his body.

His fingers transformed into sharp dragon claws. His legs became sturdier and more powerful, and the claws on his feet dug firmly into the ground.

His human pupils also transformed into dragon eyes. When he grinned, two sharp fangs were revealed.

Hollowification!

Dragon-Human Hollowification!

This was not ordinary Hollowification. It was combined with the Eight Inner Gates Formation.

This was Seiryū’s full-power state, one capable of battling Six Paths-level opponents!

Madara watched Seiryū’s transformation and narrowed his eyes.

”What is this?”

Tailed Beast Transformation?

But why did it look like that?

Was this a special characteristic of the Dragon Vein?

And what was with that terrifying Chakra?

Madara could sense a powerful threat from the current Seiryū.

’Boom!’

Seiryū moved instantly.

His right foot struck the ground, causing it to crack beneath him. His body transformed into a streak of light as he rushed forward.

He instantly closed the distance between them and brought down an unstoppable punch!

”Hmm?”

Seiryū moved so quickly that Urashiki lost track of him for a fraction of a second, but his reaction was even faster.

Switching between his Rinnegan seemed to require no time at all.

His red tomoe-patterned Rinnegan instantly transformed into a blue Rinnegan.

The blue Rinnegan, which controlled time, flashed slightly. Urashiki shifted sideways in an instant and avoided Seiryū’s punch.

”Get lost!”

The eyes in Urashiki’s sockets turned red again. He raised his hand and released a powerful repulsive force.

The Dōjutsu of the blue Rinnegan allowed him to reverse time by several seconds.

Although it appeared that Urashiki had dodged instantly and launched a perfect counterattack, he had actually attempted it dozens of times before finding the best response.

’Boom!’

The vast repulsive force was not enough to harm the current Seiryū.

It merely pushed him back a short distance without injuring him.

”A red Rinnegan and a blue Rinnegan. You certainly possess some unusual abilities.”

Seiryū stood still and spoke indifferently.

”You switched to the blue Rinnegan instantly. That must be its Dōjutsu, right? I sensed the power of time.”

Seiryū could now sense fluctuations in time.

This ability came from the Dragon Vein.

Since Dragon Vein Chakra could distort space and time, it naturally possessed power related to both.

Of course, Seiryū already knew about Urashiki’s Dōjutsu.

’Swish!’

Seiryū disappeared again.

This time, it was not merely speed. He had used the Flying Raijin Jutsu.

A Flying Raijin mark had already been left beneath Urashiki’s feet.

Seiryū appeared instantly. A Big Ball Rasengan resembling a sphere of lightning formed in his right hand, crackling violently as he thrust it toward Urashiki!

’Boom!’

Urashiki had likely not expected Seiryū to possess space-time abilities as well.

This time, he failed to react and was struck directly.

A deafening explosion erupted as terrifying power and violent lightning were released at once.

Urashiki’s body trembled as though struck by lightning.

His skin split open, his flesh was scorched black, and the tremendous force sent him flying.

’Sizzle, sizzle, sizzle.’

While Urashiki was still flying backward, golden beams of light pierced around his body. Nine black spheres appeared from nowhere, sealing the surrounding space and forcibly stopping him.

He was pinned in place!

’Boom, boom, boom!’

At that moment, the dragon-shaped force of Seiryū’s punch surged forward.

It carved trenches through the ground wherever it passed.

Caught off guard, Urashiki could not dodge.

Seiryū had given him no time to react.

The terrifying force capable of shattering mountains struck Urashiki directly.

He coughed up a large mouthful of blood, while the Bakudō restraining him shattered instantly.

His body flew backward even faster, turning into a projectile that crashed into a distant mountain.

A massive crater appeared, and Urashiki was buried beneath the rubble.

’Boom!’

Lightning transformed into a pillar and struck Urashiki’s location.

The sound of the explosion spread across the battlefield, and the mountain appeared close to collapsing.

’Rustle.’

Red paper cranes gathered in one location, and Urashiki appeared again.

Blood flowed from the corners of his mouth, while his chest was a mangled mess.

Urashiki’s blue Rinnegan stared at Seiryū, killing intent pouring from his eyes.

”Damn monkey. You actually managed to injure me.”

He was a true genius of the noble Ōtsutsuki Clan, someone who had reached the Kekkei Mōra level.

Even if his foundation at that level was unstable, he had still surpassed ninety-nine percent of his clansmen.

Yet he had been injured by a lowly monkey with diluted blood?

How could someone as arrogant as Urashiki tolerate such a thing?

He regarded it as both an insult and a disgrace!

Seiryū was in no hurry to attack. He merely grinned.

”You’re quite durable. Those injuries aren’t even very serious. Your body is indeed strong.”

”You look like an excellent punching bag.”

In the original story, Six Paths Madara had quickly recovered even after half his body was destroyed.

Urashiki, who had reached the Kekkei Mōra level, also possessed extremely powerful regenerative abilities.

In less than a second, the injuries across his body had already healed completely.

”You have truly angered me, lowly monkey!”

Urashiki’s expression became ferocious as the Chakra within his body surged violently.

He laughed coldly.

”Although your use of Chakra is more advanced than that man’s and has touched upon its true nature, you still cannot defeat me!”

”I will show you the consequences of provoking me!”

”Witness the power of Kekkei Mōra!”

”Even within the Ōtsutsuki Clan, only a small number of people can reach this level!”

”I will turn everything you possess into a Chakra pill and erase you from this world completely!”

After saying this, Urashiki bit through the red fishing basket and fishing rod before digging out his blue Rinnegan and swallowing it like candy.

Seiryū’s use of Chakra had touched upon its true nature, and his unusual transformation was the clearest proof.

His strength was now extremely high, so Urashiki no longer dared to be careless.

He had to take the battle seriously and use his full power!

’Boom!’

An even more terrifying surge of Chakra erupted from Urashiki’s body, sending powerful winds across the battlefield.

A gate of light appeared before him.

As Urashiki passed through it, his body began to transform.

His eyes turned golden and gave off a sacred appearance.

A vertical eye opened on his forehead, revealing a golden Rinnegan.

His short, light-blue hair became long and grayish-white. Large horns resembling wings grew from his head, while black horizontal markings appeared across his face.

His appearance was certainly unusual.

However, after Urashiki transformed, his Chakra became even more terrifying.

This was the power of the Kekkei Mōra level!

Feeling the power surging through his body, Urashiki laughed wildly.

”Hahaha! Do you see this? This is my power!”

”This is the Kekkei Mōra power of the Ōtsutsuki Clan, a realm that lowly monkeys like you can never reach!”

Kekkei Mōra was a realm that only a few members of the Ōtsutsuki Clan could reach.

Those who attained it stood at the very top of the clan.

Urashiki was also considered a genuine genius among the Ōtsutsuki, having reached this realm after consuming fewer Chakra Fruits than most.

However, his foundation and accumulated power were still insufficient.

That was why he wanted to gather the Tailed Beasts and plant another Divine Tree.

He wanted to consume more Chakra Fruits, strengthen his foundation, and become even more powerful!

Sensing Urashiki’s current Chakra, Seiryū felt somewhat confused.

’His Chakra has indeed become much stronger, but it isn’t much stronger than mine right now. Is this really the Kekkei Mōra level?’

Seiryū judged that his current strength should allow him to fight a Six Paths-level opponent.

Strictly speaking, he should now possess Six Paths-level combat power.

No matter how unimpressive Urashiki was compared to other Kekkei Mōra wielders, he was still someone who had reached that level.

Why did his strength not seem much greater than Seiryū’s?

As for the transformation, Seiryū did not find it strange.

Many members of the Ōtsutsuki Clan could transform.

Perhaps it was simply another way of using Chakra.

After all, the Ōtsutsuki Clan were essentially beings composed of Chakra.

Transformation was not unusual for them.

However, it did bear some resemblance to Seiryū’s Hollowification.

’Different people within the same realm can naturally possess different levels of strength, but the difference shouldn’t be this severe. Could his foundation and accumulated power be insufficient?’

Seiryū began to speculate.

It was similar to situations in fantasy stories.

A protagonist with a solid foundation could fight opponents above their level, while those who lost to weaker opponents usually lacked a stable foundation.

Could Urashiki be in that situation?

Although he had reached the Kekkei Mōra level, perhaps he had forced his way into it.

He possessed the realm itself, but not enough actual combat power to match it.

’It’s also possible that this planet is special, like a Sacred Land. The people born here possess stronger foundations and more combat experience than ordinary people, allowing them to fight opponents above their level.’

’That must be it!’

Seiryū felt that he had discovered the truth.

There had to be different levels of strength within the Kekkei Mōra realm.

In the original story, Kaguya had also been at the Kekkei Mōra level after her resurrection.

Hadn’t she still been defeated and sealed by Naruto and Sasuke, who had not truly crossed into the Six Paths level?

Although the resurrected Kaguya possessed Kekkei Mōra-level power, she was definitely weaker than she had been in her prime.

After all, the Chakra she had distributed in the past had not truly returned to her. She had only regained the Chakra of one Ten-Tails.

The fact that she had been affected by the gravity of her own dimension was enough to prove that she had not returned to her prime.

Otherwise, such a ridiculous situation would never have occurred.

What made Seiryū curious was who would be stronger between the current Urashiki and the resurrected Kaguya.

It was probably Kaguya.

Urashiki’s reputation as the disgrace of the Kekkei Mōra was not undeserved.

”This amount of Chakra can still increase?”

Madara’s expression became grave. He gritted his teeth and muttered, ”What exactly is this transformation?”

”The Ōtsutsuki Clan. What kind of beings are they? He consumed his own Rinnegan and produced another Rinnegan.”

”The true nature of Chakra.”

Whether it was Seiryū’s transformation or Urashiki’s, both left Madara confused.

Was this another method of using Chakra?

How exactly was it accomplished?

Tsunade was also astonished by Urashiki’s transformation.

”Does he also possess something similar to a Tailed Beast inside his body? How can he perform something resembling a Tailed Beast Transformation?”

She found the shinobi world increasingly difficult to understand.

Seiryū had transformed, and now the man from the Ōtsutsuki Clan had transformed as well.

Seeing Seiryū remain silent, Urashiki assumed he was frightened and laughed wildly.

”Hahaha! Are you terrified by my power?”

His eyes were filled with mockery and coldness.

”This is the power of Kekkei Mōra! Now, I will show you what true power looks like!”

Urashiki raised his right hand toward Seiryū and shouted in a low voice.

”Die!”

’Boom, boom, boom!’

Chakra bullets resembling small Tailed Beast Balls shot from Urashiki’s palm like machine-gun fire.

They formed a dense barrage and launched an indiscriminate attack.

Every Chakra bullet created a small explosion when it struck the ground.

Seiryū’s position was immediately covered by continuous bombardment, and the explosions echoed without pause.

”What a crude method. At least half of that Chakra was wasted.”

Seiryū had already appeared elsewhere, and his evaluation of Urashiki’s technique was extremely low.

Most shinobi used Chakra precisely where it was needed.

Urashiki wasted at least half of his Chakra with every attack.

How could he lecture others about Chakra usage?

It was ridiculous.

”Watch carefully. This is how you use a Chakra barrage. Every bit of Chakra should serve a purpose.”

Seiryū raised his right hand and pointed his fingertips toward Urashiki.

”Cero.”

’Boom, boom, boom!’

Seiryū used a similar technique, but his control of Chakra was far more refined, with almost no waste.

The techniques looked similar and produced the same effect.

However, Seiryū consumed less than half as much Chakra as Urashiki.

When it came to precise Chakra control, Seiryū was undoubtedly an expert.

In fact, even an ordinary Genin possessed better Chakra control than Urashiki.

Shinobi began learning how to control and use Chakra from a young age. Chakra control was one of the most fundamental parts of their training.

Urashiki’s Chakra efficiency was extremely poor.

However, that was also understandable.

Those born with overwhelming power had little reason to study such techniques.

They were already strong enough to crush most opponents, so they naturally had no reason to consider something like Chakra efficiency.
