Apocalypse: My Tattoos are Ten Yama Kings

Chapter 810: Chapter 804: A Compromise Solution

A compromise?

Wa Huang was a smart person; she immediately realized everything Lin Yuan had done before.

Humiliating her, grinding away her pride—he’d been laying the groundwork for this so‑called compromise of his.

“You…” Wa Huang pointed at Lin Yuan and said angrily, “You’re scheming against me?”

Wa Huang being able to think of this was within Lin Yuan’s expectations.

But it didn’t matter.

Right now, Wa Huang had no choice.

If she refused his compromise, then Lin Yuan would absolutely help that other consciousness inside her seize her body.

At this moment, all of Wa Huang’s rage, in Lin Yuan’s eyes, was nothing but impotent fury.

“That’s right, I am scheming against you!”

“Even if you know I’m scheming against you, what can you do about it?”

“Wa Huang, you have no choice!” Lin Yuan kneaded Wa Huang’s dignified face and mocked, “I was even planning to put on an act like I’m doing this for your own good, but you just had to tear the mask off!”

“See? Now it’s really awkward, isn’t it?”

Wa Huang was about to explode from anger, yet there was nothing she could do to Lin Yuan.

She looked at the hand Lin Yuan was using to pinch her face, then fiercely bit down on his arm.

“Ow—damn!”

Lin Yuan cried out in pain, hurriedly grabbed Wa Huang’s chin, and pried her mouth open.

Right then he also felt somewhat lucky—thankfully she’d bitten his arm. If she’d bitten somewhere else, it would probably be ruined.

“Mad Woman, are you a dog or what?” Lin Yuan shoved Wa Huang away and cursed irritably.

Wa Huang glared at Lin Yuan, eyes full of resentment, and said, “Even if I’m crazy, it’s because you drove me crazy!”

“Lin Yuan, I hate you!”

Looking at Wa Huang now, Lin Yuan also felt he might have gone a bit too far.

After all, Wa Huang was one of the Four Great Primordial Spirits, a dignified Tier One Powerhouse, who for countless years had always stood above the masses.

Yet such a Wa Huang, in such a short time, had fallen from the peak of status to the very bottom, subjected to Lin Yuan’s torment both physically and mentally.

There was no doubt that this trip to the Returning Ruins would become a nightmare Wa Huang could never erase.

“The deeper the hate, the deeper the love!”

“You can hate me, but don’t you dare fall in love with me,” Lin Yuan joked.

“Tch!” Wa Huang spat, gritting her teeth as she said, “If I ever fall in love with you, may I turn into a stray dog on the roadside!”

When you’re weak, all your ruthless words are just jokes.

For example, Wa Huang right now.

Hearing her harsh vows, all Lin Yuan felt was the urge to laugh.

He didn’t know why, but he just liked seeing Wa Huang looking like she couldn’t stand him yet couldn’t kill him either.

“Save the tough talk, your threats carry zero weight!” At this point, Lin Yuan paused, then asked one last time, “Are you going to listen to my compromise or not?”

“If you won’t, then I can only choose the more obedient Wa Huang.”

Lin Yuan was threatening her—this was also his final ultimatum.

Wa Huang’s face turned ashen. She felt like she was a slab of meat on a chopping board, left for Lin Yuan to carve up.

“You’re threatening me?” Wa Huang clenched her fists, her nails digging into her flesh.

She wanted to go down with Lin Yuan in mutual destruction, but now she didn’t even seem to have the right to do that.

“You don’t get to choose.” Lin Yuan narrowed his eyes slightly, a cold light flashing at the corners.

Wa Huang was like an overinflated balloon, and Lin Yuan’s words were a needle.

The needle pricked the balloon, and it instantly deflated.

“Say it!” Wa Huang ground out, teeth clenched, yet utterly helpless.

With their gazes locked, Lin Yuan spoke his compromise.

“When it’s safe outside and we leave the Returning Ruins, you’ll do as the Daoist Ancestor did—undergo Soldier Resolution and reincarnate as a human.”

“Only in the process of Soldier Resolution can you separate that other consciousness from your body!” Lin Yuan laid out his plan for Wa Huang.

Soldier Resolution and reincarnation?

Unless it was absolutely desperate, Wa Huang would never agree to that.

Soldier Resolution and reincarnation meant passing through the ‘mystery in the womb’; if she couldn’t get past it, she would never recover her past-life memories.

Without her memories, would she still be Wa Huang?

In fact, she knew that the Daoist Ancestor’s method of Soldier Resolution and reincarnation was very likely their only way out.

The current Void was just like the former Returning Ruins, destined to be discarded by the era.

But as long as it wasn’t the final dead end, she truly didn’t want to try it.

Yet now, for Wa Huang, this was already the end of the road.

If she followed Lin Yuan’s compromise, there was a chance she wouldn’t escape the mystery in the womb and would never return to the “true self” she believed in.

Wa Huang did a rough calculation; her odds of passing the mystery in the womb were about fifty-fifty.

But if she didn’t agree to Lin Yuan’s compromise—

Then Lin Yuan would definitely help that mysterious Spiritual Body inside her.

By then, Wa Huang would be one hundred percent certain to have her nest usurped.

Helpless.

Clenching her fists, Wa Huang felt a deep, crushing helplessness.

“Soldier Resolution and reincarnation—after I reincarnate, what happens to her?”

“I don’t believe you’d stand by and watch her dissipate!”

“How do I know you won’t take advantage of my Soldier Resolution to move against me and let her steal my fortune?” Wa Huang demanded.

There was no doubt the “her” she spoke of was that mysterious Spiritual Body.

“Heh.” Lin Yuan let out a cold laugh. “If I really wanted to deal with you, there’d be no need to trick you into Soldier Resolution. Wouldn’t it be easier to just do it now?”

“You’re both my women; at the very least I’ve got to keep things fair, don’t I?”

As soon as he said this, Wa Huang snapped back, “Bullshit, I’m not!”

Wa Huang refused to admit it, and Lin Yuan couldn’t be bothered to argue about that; after all, he’d already slept with both.

He continued, “Did you forget how I helped Xi Huang undergo Soldier Resolution and reincarnate?”

“I still have a World Honored Dao Fruit on me—enough to help her reincarnate as a human as well.”

“By then, you’ll each reincarnate separately, no longer entangled with each other. Maybe you won’t even meet again for the rest of your lives.”

To be fair, Lin Yuan’s solution was indeed even‑handed.

It could be said he was taking care of both Wa Huang and the mysterious Spiritual Body inside her.

Two consciousnesses sharing one body was never a long-term solution.

As things stood, there was no better option than letting them each reincarnate as humans.

At this point, Lin Yuan stared intently at Wa Huang and said, “Your foundation is ruined, your realm has already fallen to Tier Two. Without an enormous stroke of fortune, it’ll be very hard for you to return to Tier One.”

“Even if I don’t make things difficult for you, do you really think the Buddha and the Demon Lord will still give you a chance to return to Tier One?”

“Back when you were Tier One, you were their ally. Now that your strength has dropped, I’m afraid you’ll never stand on equal footing with them again.”

When Lin Yuan drained her inner energy and she dropped to Tier Two, Wa Huang had already lost any room to maneuver.

From that moment on, she was destined to be led by the nose by Lin Yuan.

Whatever Lin Yuan said, she could only do—she had no other choice.
