RE: LORD OF TIME

When William entered his Sea of Consciousness and saw a white pearl floating beside the images of his two Traits, he was dumbfounded, and a chill instantly rose from the soles of his feet straight to his head.

You have to know that a person’s Sea of Consciousness is an extremely important place, as it is directly connected to their soul.

If something were to go wrong with it, there was a very high chance that their soul would suffer as well.

Now, seeing something appear inside his Sea of Consciousness out of nowhere was akin to seeing an enemy suddenly appear inside his own house.

However, William did not panic for long and soon calmed down because he suddenly sensed a connection with the pearl.

He frowned slightly, wondering where this connection had come from.

However, when he probed this connection with his mental power, a surge of information immediately appeared in his mind, and he finally understood everything.

”So this is the God of Time’s Inheritance...” He muttered under his breath, feeling extremely shocked.

He wasn’t shocked because of the origin of the pearl but because of another piece of information that had appeared in his mind.

According to the information, this pearl was actually the Soul Armament of the God of Time himself, and before his demise, he had sealed his entire legacy within it.

Every time William broke through a major realm, he would be able to unlock a new part of this legacy.

Now that he had reached the Star Warrior Realm, the next part of the legacy would only be unlocked after he reached the Star Commander Realm.

As for the part of the legacy he had unlocked upon reaching the Star Warrior Realm, the book he had received earlier immediately came to William’s mind, and his eyes narrowed.

(A/N: The cultivation realms in this book are: Star Warrior, Star Commander, Star Lord, Star King, Star Emperor, and beyond.)

’There seem to be many seals placed on this pearl. If I were strong enough, I might be able to break all of them and obtain the entire legacy at once,’ He couldn’t help but think as he looked at the pearl.

At the same time, his curiosity about the pearl increased greatly.

’Since it’s the Soul Armament of a god, it must be incredibly powerful, right?’

William tried to control the pearl but discovered that it did not respond to him at all.

’It seems this pearl is also a part of the legacy that I can only truly obtain in the future by increasing my realm.’

William speculated before withdrawing his consciousness from his Sea of Consciousness.

As for wondering whether it was this pearl that had sent him back through time, he didn’t bother thinking about it because it was no longer important.

His soul had already been anchored to this timeline, and he could now live here freely, so he no longer cared whether it was this pearl that had brought him back.

Opening his eyes, William’s gaze fell upon the book he had received earlier, and he saw two large words written on its cover.

”Timeless Scripture...” He muttered in a low voice and immediately took a closer look at it.

The Timeless Scripture was a technique that, once cultivated, could grant him abilities related to time.

It was a cultivation technique similar to his Supreme Star Scripture.

However, compared to the Supreme Star Scripture, it was naturally far more powerful.

The main reason the Supreme Star Scripture was weaker than the Timeless Scripture was because it was still incomplete.

(A/N: I mentioned in Chapter 7 that the Supreme Star Scripture is incomplete.)

Since William had died not long after awakening his Wisdom Trait in his previous life, he had never been able to complete the Supreme Star Scripture.

As a result, it could only be cultivated up to the Star King Realm.

Meanwhile, the Timeless Scripture was the cultivation technique of the God of Time himself and could be cultivated to an unimaginably high realm.

Every cultivation technique possessed its own unique nature and granted different benefits to its user.

For example, the True Sun’s Fire Mantra, the main cultivation technique of the royal family of the Silver Wing Kingdom.

By cultivating this technique, its user could wield the Sun’s True Flame immediately after reaching the Star Warrior Realm.

They could transform their Aether Energy into the Sun’s True Flame and unleash widespread destruction.

There was also a cultivation technique known as the Netherworld Wind Art that allowed its user to control the Netherworld Wind upon reaching the Star Warrior Realm.

The Netherworld Wind possessed an extremely terrifying corrosive effect capable of reducing a living person to nothing in just a few seconds.

When William had decided to create his own cultivation technique in the original timeline, he had access to countless cultivation techniques.

Because of that, his original idea had been to combine all of their strengths into a single, overwhelmingly powerful cultivation technique.

However, combining different cultivation techniques into one was far from an easy task.

Not to mention anything else, just the conflicting attributes of those techniques made the process nearly impossible.

For example, a cultivation technique with the fire attribute, such as the True Sun’s Fire Mantra, could never be directly combined with a cultivation technique that possessed the water attribute.

William had suffered countless headaches at that time because no matter what he tried, he couldn’t solve the problem of the different elemental attributes.

But it was at that very moment that his Wisdom Trait came into play and allowed him to break free from his dilemma.

Star Energy!

The answer William had come up with was Star Energy.

Star Energy was one of the most versatile forms of energy because it could transform into countless different forms.

The blazing sun hanging high in the sky was also a star, and there were countless cultivation techniques that utilized its Star Power to cultivate.

The energy emitted by the sun was also a form of Star Energy.

But did that mean it didn’t possess the fire attribute?

Of course not.

Its fire attribute was simply a manifestation of Star Energy itself.

There were countless stars similar to the sun scattered across the endless sky.

Some contained ice-attributed energy.

Some contained water-attributed energy.

Some contained wind-attributed energy.

And all of those different elemental powers were ultimately transformed from the same source—Star Energy.

Star Energy was an extremely versatile form of energy.

With that realization, William began creating his own cultivation technique and eventually, the Supreme Star Scripture was born.

Now that he had reached the Star Warrior Realm, William’s Aether Energy had also gained the Star Energy attribute.

He could now transform his Aether Energy into different elemental attributes such as fire, water, wind, and many others.

Because of this unparalleled versatility, the Supreme Star Scripture could truly be considered an extraordinary cultivation technique.

Now the question was...

Since he possessed the Timeless Scripture, which could grant him abilities related to time after cultivating it, would he choose to practice it?

The answer was obviously yes.

Only a fool would ignore such an unbelievably powerful cultivation technique.

Then did that mean he would abandon the Supreme Star Scripture, considering that a person could cultivate only one cultivation technique at a time?

The answer was an equally obvious no.

Only a fool would abandon such an excellent cultivation technique.

The greatest strength of the Supreme Star Scripture was its versatility.

It possessed the ability to adapt to almost anything.

Since that was the case, William’s plan was very simple.

”I just need to merge the Timeless Scripture with the Supreme Star Scripture. That way, I will obtain a cultivation technique far stronger than either of them individually.”

As for how he would combine both cultivation techniques in a short period of time without wasting too much time...

”I just hope that True Wisdom, after evolving into an Ancient-Grade Trait, won’t disappoint me...” He muttered under his breath as he finally opened his status window.

As William’s eyes swept across his status window, he noticed a few things that made him frown.

However, he ignored them for the time being, and his gaze settled on the Traits section, as there was something extremely important he needed to confirm regarding his True Wisdom Trait.
