RE: LORD OF TIME

Holding the crimson crystal with a hint of gold within it, William’s eyes were filled with intense fervor.

’Even with the help of the Supreme Star Scripture, it would take me at least eight or nine hours to refine this crystal...’ He calculated inwardly and after making sure he would be able to finish refining it before his parents returned in the evening, he tossed the crystal into his mouth.

Actually, William could have used the Bloodline Essence Crystal after breaking through to the Star Warrior level.

Once he broke through to the Star Warrior level, his life level would evolve to the next stage, and at that time, the power of the Supreme Star Scripture would also increase considerably.

After reaching the Star Warrior level, he might only have needed to spend two or three hours refining the Bloodline Essence Crystal, saving him a great deal of time and effort.

However, the reason William decided to use the Bloodline Essence Crystal before breaking through to the Star Warrior level was because it was more beneficial this way.

Because of the first Chapter of the Supreme Star Scripture, William’s physical strength had already reached its current limit, and it was almost impossible for it to increase any further without breaking through to the Star Warrior level.

However, the Bloodline Essence Crystal was a rare treasure capable of breaking that limit.

As mentioned before, Bloodline Essence Crystals were so rare that even Star King-level monsters rarely dropped them.

In fact, even members of the royal family couldn’t casually use an item like a Bloodline Essence Crystal because of its rarity.

If William used the Bloodline Essence Crystal now, his physical abilities would break past their current limit.

After that, when he broke through to the Star Warrior level, the boost he received would definitely be greater than if he had used the Bloodline Essence Crystal after reaching the Star Warrior level.

Especially the increase in his physical abilities, which would definitely reach an extremely high level.

After tossing the Bloodline Essence Crystal into his mouth, William chewed it like candy while simultaneously operating the Supreme Star Scripture.

As he swallowed the entire crystal, a warm current slowly flowed throughout his entire body.

His cultivation technique continuously refined the crystal’s energy, enhancing every part of his body.

At first, William felt quite comfortable as the warm current flowed through him.

However, as time passed, the warm current gradually transformed into raging heat, making him feel as though he were being cooked alive from the inside.

The blood within his body began circulating at an incredible speed, and his heart pounded wildly, so loudly that he could clearly hear every heartbeat.

Sweat began pouring from every pore of his body like a flood, and within just a few seconds, he was completely drenched.

William had never used a Bloodline Essence Crystal in his previous life, so this was his first time experiencing its effects.

The pain of his body being scorched from the inside was so intense that, despite possessing an exceptionally strong will, he still couldn’t help letting out muffled groans of agony.

’Fuck... I heard that refining a Bloodline Essence Crystal is extremely painful because it enhances a person’s body at the most fundamental level, but isn’t being burned alive from the inside a bit too much?’

William did his best to ignore the pain and continued circulating the Supreme Star Scripture.

At this moment, he felt that if he failed to operate the Supreme Star Scripture properly, the raging energy inside his body would immediately go berserk and burn him into ashes.

Although the pain was unbearable, one thing gave him some relief—he could clearly feel his body growing stronger.

Tempted by the ability to sense his progress in real time, William concentrated even harder on circulating the Supreme Star Scripture perfectly.

Soon, seven hours passed, and William was finally at his limit.

Everything else aside, he was still just an ordinary human who hadn’t yet broken through to the Extraordinary Realm.

Although his physical body was far stronger than that of ordinary people and he possessed an enormous amount of Astral Energy, he was still fundamentally a normal human.

During these seven hours, he had sweated profusely and had become so thirsty that his eyes were bloodshot, and he felt as though he might faint at any moment.

Not because of the pain...But because of thirst.

Due to the severe lack of water, even his bodily functions had begun to decline, making it increasingly difficult for him to control the raging energy within his body.

Sensing the remaining energy inside him, William estimated that it would still take at least another half an hour before all of the Bloodline Essence Crystal’s energy was completely refined.

’Endure... Endure just a little longer. This suffering is nothing compared to what you will have to face in the future.’

William encouraged himself inwardly while continuing to focus on the strengthening of his body to distract himself from the unbearable pain.

Although his current condition was miserable, he had to admit that the effects of the Bloodline Essence Crystal obtained from the Titan Ape—a monster renowned for its overwhelming physical strength were even better than he had expected.

At this moment, even he wasn’t certain how powerful his body had become.

He simply felt that, despite his current exhausted condition, he could still defeat his previous self without much difficulty.

Amidst his own encouragement, another twenty minutes passed.

Finally, the last wisp of energy from the Bloodline Essence Crystal was completely refined.

William’s vision had already become blurry, and he was on the verge of passing out.

However, he forced himself to stay conscious and staggered toward the bathroom.

Upon reaching it, he didn’t hesitate for even a moment. He immediately turned on the tap, and as soon as the water began flowing, he bent down and gulped it down in large mouthfuls.

As the cool water slid down his parched throat, William finally felt alive again and closed his eyes in bliss.

It was also at this exact moment that a piece of information suddenly appeared directly within his mind and his closed eyes snapped open.

”This... I actually obtained one of the Titan Ape’s abilities.”

Before the shock of obtaining one of the Titan Ape’s abilities could even fade, a loud voice reached his ears from outside.

”William, come out! I found the heirloom we talked about this morning.”
