Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 333: Chapter 105: Ora Ora Ora

”I removed the entire cerebellum,” said the Mechanical Armor Soldier calmly.

The cerebellum has many functions: regulating body balance, adjusting muscle tension, coordinating voluntary movements. Simply put, it is responsible for all data and memories related to combat.

Cutting it out is equivalent to deleting the entire combat system.

What a pity, with his combat talent, he is absolutely not inferior to his granddaughter.

”So, what exactly happened to the Xiao Family back then?”

Earth Crust Engine, Destruction Plan, the thirteen Destruction Forms, and the Wudu Coup of the Xiao Family, Gao Gong felt he was close to the truth.

”In the 13th year of the Great Ship Empire, the Black Prince at the time convened a secret military meeting. The participants were all royal loyalists, a total of five families, including our Xiao Family.”

”The Crown Prince informed us that the Royal Family had reached an agreement with the six ruling countries of the Federation and twelve foundations of the Alliance to jointly launch the ’Destruction Plan’. As per the agreement, we would dispatch elites responsible for the plan’s defense work.”

”At that time, only two people in our Xiao Family knew of the plan: myself and my father, General Xiao Yuanjun.”

”In the 19th year of the Great Ship Empire, the garrison in the Asteroid Belt lost contact.”

”In the 21st year of the Great Ship Empire, an Advanced Civilization messenger descended.”

”In the 22nd year of the Great Ship Empire, the empire collapsed.”

”In the same year, a large-scale coup occurred in the Federation, several political leaders stepped down, and six of the twelve foundation families from the Alliance mysteriously disappeared.”

”All these things are related to the Advanced Civilization messenger, and deeper, to the Destruction Plan.”

Gao Gong interrupted the other party’s speech:

”Two questions: First, what was the name of that messenger?”

”She called herself Deep Net.”

”One of the three Mother Cities?”

The Mechanical Armor Soldier shook his head: ”According to her self-introduction, she should be an Informational Organism, not Artificial Intelligence. As for the Deep Net you mentioned, if there really is a connection between the two, it should be like the relationship between me and Xiao Yuanshan, for example, using her brain structure to create this Mother City.”

”Second question, why was there a Destruction Plan?”

Gao Gong paused, then said:

”Plans like this cannot possibly be the result of a whim of one or two scientists but rather a super project gathering massive resources, manpower, and materials, especially when it needs to be hidden from the eyes of a super civilization. The difficulty is simply unimaginable, so why was there such a plan?”

”Without enough certainty, I believe even the Black Prince wouldn’t do it lightly.”

”Was it because another advanced cosmic force was involved?”

This is the most likely guess; only Advanced Civilizations can contend with other Advanced Civilizations.

To Gao Gong’s surprise, the Mechanical Armor Soldier denied this assumption.

”It’s because of Destruction Form No. 1, which is the true orchestrator of the plan.”

”Who is it?”

”It is a naturally formed Artificial Intelligence. According to the cosmic saying, it is the Gaia Consciousness of this planet. I’ve heard it cut a part of itself to hand over to the Planet Alliance Army to resist the army of an Advanced Civilization, and that part of the system was later called ’War’.”

”So that’s how it is!” Gao Gong raised his eyebrows.

”Just like other planetary regimes, after the emperor’s death, the empire also experienced chaos. Many of the upper layers were controlled by Ms. Deep Web; some outright defected to that Advanced Civilization, including our Xiao Family.”

”So that’s why there was the Wudu Coup?”

”Yes.”

”I see... Ms. Deep Web, the Ancient Mechanical Collective.”

Gao Gong had several impressions about the Level 7 Civilization, Ancient Mechanical Collective.

First, in the Civilization Council, it belongs to the first-row contenders.

Second, it is an Ancient Civilization, which means it can be traced back to the dawn of the cosmos.

Third, its Alliance Specialty is impressive, called ’Perpetual Motion Machine’.

As for the outcome of this civilization—

In the cosmic major event during the late game, the ’Ancient Corpse Plague’, this civilization was crippled by the resurgent Ancestor Civilization.

The cosmic super treasure, the Quantum Perpetual Motion Machine, also vanished without a trace.

’So, at this time, is someone starting to probe it?’

Some cosmic nobility, or cosmic calamities, do not operate on a timeline but rather at the scale of civilizations.

The rise and fall of a civilization might just be a step in the game.

Of course, it might also be Gao Gong overthinking. After all, in the Cyber Test Field, any oddity is quite normal.

”I also want to ask you a question,” the Mechanical Armor Soldier suddenly said.

”Where did the Emperor’s Light on me come from, or rather, am I of the Black Prince’s bloodline?”

”No, the Black Prince has no bloodline legacy. I am very clear on this. I also have no intention of investigating how you obtained Emperor’s Might, as future technology is beyond my imagination.”

The hollow eye sockets of the Mechanical Armor Soldier stared at Gao Gong.

”I want to know, if the opportunity arises, would you be willing to revive the empire?”

”I’m still quite interested in the Empire’s transformation technology,” Gao Gong shrugged and said, ”But reviving the empire is out of the question.”

”The Mechanical Dynasty has its limits, Biomechanical is the true way!”

The Mechanical Armor Soldier could not make intricate expressions, but the disappointment was evident.

”Thank you for your honesty.”

After it left, Little A, with her plump figure, came over, bending her waist, her fair skin made of code, while gently massaging Gao Gong’s shoulders and said in a sweet and soft voice:

”Master, why didn’t you deceive him a bit, you should know, he still has many important secrets not yet told to you.”

”There’s no need; he will eventually speak.”

Gao Gong opened the task bar and clicked on the task rewards—

[Please choose your transformation direction, skills/equipment/bloodline]

’Custom transformation,’ different choices lead to different transformations.

If it’s a skill, then it transforms from a regular skill into a unique skill. If it’s equipment, it upgrades by one civilization level. If it’s a bloodline, then it gets sublimated for free.

If you choose bloodline, Gao Gong’s ’Junior Energy Symbiote’ would become an ’Intermediate Energy Symbiote’, and shooting lasers would be as simple as eating and drinking water.

Generally speaking, only planet-level monsters might have this kind of ’Intermediate Bloodline’.

However, Gao Gong had a sudden inspiration; he chose the ’Leader Template - Genetic Leader (Incomplete)’.

[Do you wish to undergo specialized transformation for the ’Leader Template’]

Oh, it actually works!

No need for hesitation then.

Once this template is completed, Gao Gong can fully allocate intermediate symbiotic bloodlines himself.

A flash of golden light, and the introduction of the Genetic Leader changed.

Leader Template - Genetic Leader (2/3)

Genetic Adjustment: Allows self-allocation of genetic fragments, synthesis of gene chains, creation of synthetic organisms, with a 50% success rate increase for genetic fusion.

Genetic Sublimation: Allows existing genes to evolve artificially to the next higher level.

That’s pretty good!

Once the gene bank upgrade is complete, Gao Gong can go all out.

Perhaps, another gene bank branch could be built here.

So much free labor, why not use it?

...

While Gao Gong was planning big, the mysterious Mr. Miller appeared in the Outer City District.

Everywhere he passed, everyone respectfully bowed to him, and only after he passed did they raise their heads in confusion, looking utterly bewildered.

The Red Flower Demon who was pulling noodles naturally saw this scene and instinctively was about to throw an ’appraisal’ over.

Before he could act, an iron grip slammed onto his neck, smashing his head onto the counter.

Mr. Miller saw this and gave Uncle Jack a charming smile.

Jack K seemed to realize something and looked sullen.

It was only after Mr. Miller completely left the street that his other hand released the plasma cannon’s trigger.

”Uncle, what are you doing? I just wanted to see if that person was human or a ghost, and you pushed me down. I must tell you, I, the Red Flower Demon, am a straight man. If you’re thinking of doing anything inappropriate, it’ll cost extra! That hand cannon is really nice...”

”He’s not human.”

”Hmm? What?” The Red Flower Demon blinked, ”If he’s not human, what is he?”

Jack looked down and kneaded the dough, speaking calmly:

”An interstellar monster, a nest; I saw this kind of thing on Night Star. Back then, my entire squad was sacrificed.”

”Damn, an interstellar monster, how high level is that!?”

Mr. Miller reached the ruins of the Welfare Institute. It had been dismantled long ago, leaving only a bare plot of land, but Mr. Miller was unconcerned, his eyes flashing with strange brilliance.

Soon, a giant tree composed of electrical signals rose from the ground, neural circuits forming its crown, and then a fruit coagulated.

The surface of the fruit reflected the fragmented imagery of the former Welfare Institute.

A monster made of machinery carrying a girl.

Mechanical eyeliner everywhere.

A ’Mechanical Goddess’ formed from mechanical eyeliner.

”The main brain of this Mechanical City, is it?”

Crossing layers of space, Miller’s gaze landed on the main brain area, the core of the Mechanical System.

”Let’s go take a look then.”

Mr. Miller muttered to himself, instantly taking flight, appearing high in the sky like a shooting star. In mere breaths, he reached the main brain area, facing all sorts of intercepting weapons head-on, tracking missiles, energy beams, electromagnetic nets, breaking through them one by one as if his entire body was made of iron, crashing in with a loud bang, a classic heroic landing pose, half-kneeling before a statue of the Mechanical Goddess, gently kissing her hand.

”Hello, Ms. Mechanic.”

One launch silo after another opened, a dense array of red lights flashing to life.

A giant female face appeared in the sky of the main brain area.

The entire Nightless City blared with alarm.

...

Gao Gong, naturally, was unaware of what was happening in Nightless City. At this time, he was happily participating in a lottery.

This lottery had 19 draws and 10 random blueprints.

He ruffled Xiao Yu’s head for a while, feeling he had gathered enough luck.
