Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

The Crimson Empress in the process of ascending suddenly let out a sharp scream.

A black dot appeared on her and also on the flesh mountain below.

This black dot gradually grew larger, becoming a fist-sized void.

On the flesh mountain, countless masses of flesh wriggled madly, filling into the hole.

But the hole was like a bottomless pit, no matter how much was filled in, it could only slightly ease the expansion of the void.

More voids emerged from the Crimson Empress.

Gao Gong watched coldly.

In a normal state, even if struck down ten times, the Crimson Empress could not be killed.

Her recovery ability, under the support of the Beast Tide, had reached the level of ’Pan-Body Life’.

’Pan-Body Life’ is the standard form for carbon-based life in the universe, with no vital points, capable of regenerating its body at any time, and possessing a powerful efficiency in energy and material transformation.

The only one who could kill her was herself.

Constructing Electronic City, making everyone mistakenly believe his target was the B-level Radiation Beast.

Diverting production, secretly having the ponytailed girl build a Biological Factory on the outskirts of the battlefield, producing ’Radiation Annihilation Agent’.

Using Automobile City as bait, creating Biological Weapons to suffocate all the Knights of the Knight Order.

Competing with the Crimson Empress for control of the Beast Tide, luring the opponent into a forced ascension.

Then, executing the final Wild Hunt plan.

The more effective the power of the Beast Tide, the more terrifying its backlash.

The Crimson Empress did not sit idly by either; terrifying Solidification Energy Guns continuously targeted Electronic City, each shot bringing the destruction of an Electronic City.

However, it was all in vain.

The principle of the ’Radiation Annihilation Agent’ is a cancer cell at the radiation level, energy explosions would only trigger a more widespread spread.

The Crimson Empress was no longer a concern.

”Go ahead!”

Everyone heard Gao Gong’s voice through their earphones.

The next moment, the Bio-Fusioners roared out, followed closely by the Old Hunter, Large Combat Robots stepping heavily, along with Security Corps soldiers, Mechanical Hunters, and mercenaries, all of them charging forward fervently.

Counterattack!

Revenge!

Hunt!

Radiation Beasts below C-level infected by the ’Radiation Annihilation Agent’ were doomed to die.

Even high-level Radiation Beasts were severely infected, their condition significantly deteriorated.

If not to strike a fallen foe now, then when?

The only surprising thing was the hidden forces of Xiao Tong and Major General Matsumoto.

Xiao Tong’s forces consisted entirely of Bio-Fusioners, wearing assault-type Bio-Fusion Armor; this model of reproductive body was more powerful and robust, their weapons could transform into spears several meters long or shields as thick as city walls.

More advanced than ’Red Liquid’.

’Red Liquid’ sent out dissatisfied biological signals.

As for Major General Matsumoto’s forces, they were quite interesting, all Mechanical Ninjas resembling Raiden from Metal Gear, equipped with Advanced Mechanized Prosthetics, their weapons were Samurai Swords and shurikens, possessing formidable close-combat burst power, the Iaijutsu could easily slice off the heads of C-level Radiation Beasts.

Xiao Tong and Old Man Matsumoto were also the only two among the six Major Generals who hadn’t betrayed the Security Corps, neither fared well; Xiao Tong fled in embarrassment back to the Mother City, given the Xiao Family’s military lineage, as a deserter, his fate was predictable.

While Old Man Matsumoto, when surrounded by the Security Corps, chose to fall in battle on Honshu Island, fulfilling his Ninja Way.

Mr. Xiao and Mr. Matsushige descended from the sky, crashing beside Gao Gong.

”Mr. Gao, rest assured, with us here, the Beast Tide will not harm you.”

”That’s right, if Mr. Gao hadn’t acted so soon, my alloy blade would have certainly sliced off that Crimson Empress’ head.”

Both spoke with a slight embarrassment, after all, they hadn’t joined the fight initially; now, just as victory seemed assured, they came to claim the kill, a rather dishonorable act.

Gao Gong glanced at them, then continued gazing into the distant sky.

”What is Mr. Gao looking at?” Mr. Xiao asked cautiously, given that this person had consecutively defeated Demon Mountain and the Crimson Empress, it was not an understatement to say he was the top in combat power in the Iron Sand Desert.

”Watching to see if any unexpected developments occur on the battlefield.”

”How could there be,” Mr. Matsushige laughed heartily, ”Mr. Gao is too cautious, even if there were, once I take action, it would only result in beheadings.”

”You think so too?” Gao Gong suddenly looked at Mr. Xiao.

”Uh, under General Xiao’s orders, I will definitely follow your command,” Mr. Xiao responded cautiously.

”Alright, then I’ll leave it to you.”

Mr. Gao pointed to the distant sky, and the two of them looked up, dumbfounded.

A colossal entity suddenly appeared, covering half the sky. It looked like a giant mechanical whale, but whales didn’t have such a heavy shell or a round dome.

On top of the dome stood a five-meter-high mechanical silhouette with a gloomy face.

The beast tide had been annihilated, eight knights lost contact, and the Crimson Empress’s backlash rendered her powerless. He had no choice but to go all in.

”Kun, you’re here again,” Mr. Gao wasn’t very surprised; the Great Knight Banner, or rather the future Steel Standard Bearer Banner, was notoriously stubborn.

After capturing Nightless City, he had the opportunity to retreat, but he didn’t leave; instead, he delivered that famous Hydra speech—

’The era of mechanical control is coming to an end. The intelligence generated by millions of life forms gathered together will break through the Mother City’s blockade. The skies will no longer be gloomy, the earth will no longer be barren. Another kind of creativity, one dominated by life itself, will reclaim the entire planet.’

’Periods of stagnation exist in the long history of life, but the subsequent species explosions are very likely events. Cut off one head, and two heads grow in its place.’

’You are facing a system that has evolved for billions of years. Even if you can win temporarily, failure is inevitable.’

’We unleash life’s power into the machines we created, allowing them to regain their wild nature!’

And then he was blown to pieces by space-based weapons descending from outer space.

He was such a bold man.

So Mr. Gao wasn’t surprised at all to see the opponent riding a Kun on the battlefield.

Through some cunning operations, the Hydra Battle had come early.

”What are you standing around for, go on,” Mr. Gao urged, seeing the two of them dumbfounded.

”Didn’t you just say there was no chance? Well, here’s the chance now. This thing is definitely stronger than the Crimson Empress.”

Indeed, it was so. The Crimson Empress was at level 45, but this ’Kun’ was a full level 60, and it was a standard war creature, similar in appearance to the Leviathan spaceship from the Avengers. Its body was covered with countless jellyfish-like half-energy creatures on each of its tendrils.

Mr. Xiao looked at Mr. Matsushige, and Mr. Matsushige looked back at Mr. Xiao, both with expressions like they wanted to cry.

”Since it’s here, there’s no way we can let it go back.”

”Yes, hahaha, hahahaha.”

Mr. Gao suddenly pressed down on their shoulders, flashing a bright smile: ”Just kidding, of course I wouldn’t let you deal with that monster. That’s a clear death wish.”

”Really?”

”Too bad, my alloy broadsword has long been itching for action.”

The two obviously let out a sigh of relief. It wasn’t that they were too cowardly; the thing was just too large and extravagant.

”But if that monster is here to rescue the Crimson Empress, what do we do?” Mr. Xiao asked worryingly.

Though it was far away, countless jellyfish from the ’Giant Kun’s’ tendrils were already falling and merging into the beast tide. Although it was a case of ’adding fuel to the fire,’ the Crimson Empress’s injuries were showing significant improvement in the short term.

The number of exploded Electronic Cities was noticeably increasing.

”Don’t worry, I have connections at the top,” Mr. Gao said calmly.

Mr. Gao was calm because besides this ’Giant Kun’, he also sensed another massive source of mechanical energy.

In the next moment, the eastern, western, and southern skies went dark simultaneously. Violent lightning burst from the skies, and in an instant, hundreds of chains descended from the sky, piercing the ’Giant Kun’s’ body. In the next moment, three mechanical octopuses, no less massive than the ’Giant Kun’, appeared. Those ’chains’ were the octopuses’ tentacles; distance over ten thousand meters seemed like no distance at all.

Du Zhaodi stood in the main control room of the mechanical octopus, hands in her pockets, expression calm.

The ’Giant Kun’ let out a wild scream.

Mr. Gao clicked his tongue twice. As expected of the large standardized weapons of the Mechanical Mother City, 76-level mechanical mothers, the main force of the Second Mechanical War.

This thing wasn’t designed for combat within the atmosphere; they were aimed at space species, nomadic satellites, starships, armed space stations, and planetary defense systems.

This ’Giant Kun’ was already the highest technological product of the Knight Order, but it was still being thrashed by these three mechanical mothers. Blood poured down like waterfalls, and appendages as thick as water tanks were cut off in pieces, while thousands of ’jellyfishes’ were sliced by the laser network.

’Is it because the collected biological data isn’t enough? In my memory, Kun-shaped warships weren’t this weak.’

’Oh right, the first Kun-shaped warship made by the Knight Order was seemingly a troop transport. Its target was to break into the Mother City with enough explosives and detonate. No wonder.’

Under the ’Neural Radar’, Mr. Gao could easily ’see’ the troop distribution on the battlefield.

Besides, the ’Neural Radar’ surpassed biological radar in that it could detect specific biological energy/mechanical energy.

Though the Kun-shaped warship was surrounded by the three mechanical mothers, with its size, it wouldn’t die for a while, but a massive amount of half-energy creatures was pouring down from it.

Among them was the one Mr. Gao had been paying special attention to, the instigator of the Hydra Battle, the future Steel Standard Bearer Banner.

”The enemy leader is over there. Would you two dare to get me his head?” Mr. Gao suddenly said.

Not fighting the super large mechanical body, not fighting the Beast Tide Controller, but targeting a lone terrorist.

This was a prime opportunity for getting the credit for a big kill.

Their spirits immediately lifted.

”Don’t worry, Mr. Gao, please warm up a pot of wine, we’ll be right back!”

”Alright then, I’ll wait for your good news,” Mr. Gao said with an innocent smile.
