Apocalyptic Reincarnation: Start with a 30-million Bonus

After communicating with Third Uncle, Li Yu made a rough assessment of the current situation.

No matter what exactly is happening in the Yue Country Scam Park, they need to eliminate those scammers.

Then, Li Yu immediately arranged for Ju Tianrui to lead a team to search within two kilometers nearby to see if any zombies were hiding in the dark corners.

On the other hand, he instructed Lao Yi and Luo to prepare to block the zombies, formulating plans based on their location at the mountaintop.

Even though it wasn’t dark yet, with only an hour left before sunset, Li Yu specifically urged Ju Tianrui to ensure they check nearby without straying too far, since it will be difficult to return after dark.

Everyone got moving, even the academic professor who spoke Burmese was using a shovel to dig dirt, raising the incline around the mountaintop and leaving space only for vehicles to ascend.

Meanwhile, Li Tie was piloting the helicopter around the area to detect any zombie presence.

Time passed slowly.

The sky darkened.

The dense forest, shielded by the tree canopy, naturally dimmed faster than other areas.

Li Yu dropped his shovel and wiped his sweat.

With their quick setup, the originally gentle slope was heightened, roughly a meter taller.

Some tree roots were exposed, yet these old trees persisted robustly with their developed root systems.

Vehicle headlights on the central ground turned on, illuminating the surroundings.

Li Yu dusted off his hands, grabbing a tree in front of him with his right hand, and pulled downward forcefully, using the momentum to climb up the steep slope with his left foot.

The simplest method they employed was using iron wires to barricade surrounding trees to block zombies.

The second tactic was to shape a right angle by digging under the mountaintop, creating a height difference to impede zombie attacks.

Li Yu bent down over the wire and noticed Li Tie still manipulating the drone, prompting him to ask, ”How’s it looking? Any discoveries?”

Li Tie shook his head without looking up and replied, ”No, it’s too dark to see anything, I’ve brought the drone back.”

Just then, he noticed some shadows on the ground.

He promptly lowered the drone and flew it over.

Upon closer approach, he realized it was Ju Tianrui and his team, so he informed Li Yu, ”Ju Tianrui and his crew are back.”

”Back? That’s good, I was just about to contact them. It’s getting dark, so they need to return sooner,” Li Yu said.

People were bustling around them.

Vehicles were relocated to form a circle around the central wooden cabins.

Two cars weren’t parked perpendicular but rather parallel, allowing for swift retreat or advancement, preserving an escape gap.

Soon enough.

After everything was settled, an eerie rustling echoed from the woods.

Everyone turned to observe, clutching their guns tightly.

As the rustling approached, Ju Tianrui and his crew came into the light.

”It’s Captain Ju; they finally returned!” Lao Yi exclaimed excitedly upon spotting Ju Tianrui.

Ju Tianrui maintained a calm expression, his demeanor not betraying the results of their venture.

Li Yu jumped off the vehicle as Ju Tianrui approached, and promptly reported, ”Director Li, we scouted around the entire two kilometers, including valleys and bushes, finding only two zombies. Both were covered in ants and insects, already dead.”

Li Yu nodded upon hearing this and said:

”Alright, good to have you back. Go eat something; tonight is crucial, and we’re uncertain of the situation. Rest while you can.”

”Agreed.” Ju Tianrui then moved towards the circle of vehicles.

The circle formed by over twenty vehicles spanned close to a thousand square meters.

There were several piles of wood that were chopped open to be used for burning.

Within the circle were scattered seven or eight small fires, each with a steel pot over them, emitting aromas of food.

Lao Yi and five or six people stood at the mountaintop edge, facing the outside where trees were barricaded with iron wires.

If zombies approached, they could utilize the meter-high height differential to tackle them from above.

Even if numerous zombies breached the wire fence, they can retreat further behind vehicles and repel zombies atop them.

Double measures to ensure safety.

If those fail-safe methods don’t work, Li Yu had a last resort: utilizing the drone with Corpse Attraction Potion to lure the zombies away.

The original plan was to commence bombing at midnight, factoring unresolved zombie presence, hence task assignment was crucial.

Currently at 7:10 PM, Luo and their team are scheduled for an extended bombing task lasting several hours, thus excluding them from shift duties.

After eating, Luo and their team of over ten went inside the cabin with sleeping bags for rest, undisturbed.

Tonight’s shift arrangement remained a three-shift rotation by Ju Tianrui, Lao Yi, and Li Tie, each leading twenty members.
