Apocalyptic Reincarnation: Start with a 30-million Bonus

He climbed to the cave entrance and saw Su Tan lying on the ground, motionless. He called out nervously, ”Su Tan, how are you?”

”Su Tan!”

He called several times in a row until a minute later, Su Tan lying on the ground finally waved his hand, indicating he was fine.

”Phew!” The man inside the cave breathed a sigh of relief, afraid that Su Tan was dead too.

Then, he began to climb out himself, attempting to crawl out from the cave entrance.

”Move, Su Tan, give me some space,” the man lying at the entrance called out to Su Tan.

Coming out of this cave, there was nothing below to hold onto.

He could only fall down like Su Tan, but Su Tan was blocking below, and falling down would inevitably hit Su Tan.

Su Tan on the ground struggled to move his body; it seemed he twisted his ankle when he fell down earlier.

Seeing Su Tan moving out of the way, the man finally pushed himself outward with force.

Thud!

He also tumbled onto the ground, seeing stars.

His situation was relatively better than Su Tan’s; except for a slight abrasion on his waist when crawling out, he didn’t have any other issues.

He quickly walked to Su Tan’s side and helped him up.

”How are you? Are you okay?”

Su Tan’s face was pale, pointing to his waist, saying, ”Help me, help me stop the bleeding.”

”Hiss...” Upon seeing the wound on Su Tan’s right waist, the man gasped.

The wound was so deep you could see the flesh and blood inside.

He then helped Su Tan to a relatively clean place nearby, stood up and looked around.

A desolate scene: just a pile of bones and tattered cloth on the ground, without a single body. He could imagine what happened last night.

They listened to screams all night, until this morning when they wanted to climb out and heard the sound of vehicles outside, so they shrunk back, afraid to move.

”Those people must have left. You wait here, I’ll go find something to stop the bleeding.”

After saying that, he ran towards the warehouse.

When he arrived outside the warehouse, he saw two large iron locks hanging above and felt suspicious.

Thinking to himself: Did those people not take the supplies inside, so they locked it up?

The Zombies inside, after Li Yu and the others left, returned to the dark corners, so he didn’t notice there were Zombies inside.

Looking at the big iron lock, he searched around for a handy tool to open it.

Finding nothing suitable around, he gave up entering from this entrance.

Then he went to the side, moved some concrete slabs, reached the aluminum window, intending to climb up.

Even without injuries, not eating for over ten hours, he was still in relatively good shape.

With his efforts, he finally climbed to the second floor, but found the balcony door locked.

It was only glass, so he picked up a brick from the ground and slammed it against the glass door.

Crash.

The glass door shattered, and he reached through the gap, unlocking it from the inside.

Click!

The glass door finally opened.

He smiled with joy and hurriedly went downstairs.

The stairwell was dark, with only some weak light shining through the glass door behind.

The stairwell was empty, except for some bones.

And it emitted a thick bloody smell.

He frowned, touching the iron railings in the stairwell as he walked down step by step.

Reaching the last step, he finally relaxed.

Then, according to his memory, he headed towards the room with the warehouse.

Click-clack-click-clack——

In the empty corridor, only his footsteps echoed.

Soon, he reached the warehouse door.

The warehouse was still pitch black.

He regretted his haste; without a light source, it was difficult to find anything inside.

But he had a plan; if he recalled correctly, there were two windows at the far end. Though they had been closed for years, they could be opened from inside the warehouse. Although there was still iron bars blocking outside, some light could come in.

Then he walked towards the depths of the warehouse.

Click-clack-click-clack——

Soft footsteps echoed in the warehouse.

Only, the further he walked, the stronger the bloody smell became.

Crash!

Not sure what he knocked off on the warehouse trusses, a crisp metallic noise fell to the ground, exceptionally loud in the warehouse.

Roar roar roar!

The sound immediately triggered the Zombies to roar and rush towards him.

Upon hearing the sound, his scalp tingled, feeling like he was about to ascend.

A chill surged from his soles, even though it was midday, over thirty degrees, he felt cold.

He was rooted, like an old machine long unlubricated, unable to move.

His teeth chattered uncontrollably.

Run.

Run.

Yet he couldn’t move.

The more anxious and tense he got, the less he could move.

A strong stench came over him.

He finally moved, but in the next second, two Zombies tackled him to the ground.

Crunch!

One Zombie bit his arm, while another’s saliva dripped onto his face.

”Ah!!!!”

He screamed with his might, struggling fiercely.

At that moment, as if injected with adrenaline, his strength surged.

That struggle indeed got him free.
