Apocalyptic Reincarnation: Start with a 30-million Bonus

Hearing that Li Yu approved of his idea, Dapao was in a very good mood and immediately replied, ”Alright, Brother Yu, I’ll go temporarily seal the place where the supplies are being stored.”

”Hmm, make sure to seal it tightly, or else those zombies will come out at night. Also, remind everyone to move quietly, so as not to alert the zombies inside.”

”Okay.”

.....

They hurried to seal the places where zombies were located, ensuring that the zombies inside couldn’t get out.

During this time, they moved very quietly, fearing to disturb the zombies inside the buildings.

Compared to the zombie army from last night, these zombies were just a small portion.

Under the sunlight, although these zombies could come out, their agility and strength were much weaker.

During the day, relying on their strength, they could have completely wiped out these zombies.

But, there was no need to deal with them now.

Once Dapao and the others sealed those buildings, everyone was no longer as cautious, fearing that a hefty movement would attract the zombies inside.

Quickly, by following this method, Ju Tianrui and the others cleaned up the battlefield, picking up firearms and bullets from the ground while using the same tactic on the buildings in the adjacent two compounds.

Almost every one of these remnant buildings had zombies, so they simply sealed them all with chains.

While doing this, a few zombies were disturbed.

In the sunlight, dealing with zombies wasn’t so difficult, and this small number of zombies was taken care of by them using cold weapons.

...

Jinmu Compound.

Yang Tianlong suddenly discovered a basement, so he took a few people inside.

The entire basement, whether on walls or the floor, was covered in blood, with tattered clothes and blood everywhere.

Some human skulls were also among them.

Being there was like being in a purgatory.

Even Yang Tianlong, who had seen a lot, couldn’t help but feel uneasy when he saw this scene.

How many people must have died here to create such a sight.

Yang Tianlong stepped into the blood, thick liquids clung onto his shoe soles, creating strings of blood when he lifted his feet.

Each step made a creaking sound.

The air was filled with a strong stench of blood.

After just a few steps, Yang Tianlong saw the dense crowd of zombies inside.

He shone a light and could see some firearms on the ground, but they were all soaked in blood.

He slowly backed away, afraid of alarming the zombies inside.

At the entrance, he took a deep breath.

Only after coming out did he realize how fresh the air outside was.

He glanced at the door, which had several bullet holes; Yang Tianlong wanted to close it but moved it lightly.

Bang, bang!

The sound made Yang Tianlong a bit nervous because he knew there were many zombies inside.

Hence, he stayed still, not daring to move.

The roars of zombies in the basement flared for a few moments and then stopped.

Yang Tianlong wiped the sweat off his forehead, unsure if it was because of the midday heat or just from being too nervous.

Yang Tianlong quickly ran outside, found Lao Yi and the others, and explained the situation.

Finally, they found some rebar and iron plates from construction debris and sealed the basement with chains.

Too many people died in this fraudulent compound.

Especially the basement Yang Tianlong was in; at least a thousand people perished in that narrow space, with several hundred zombies remaining inside now.

.....

On the other side.

Dapao found the place where fuel was stored, discovering many zombies in this fuel storage, and lured them out to the surface to be dealt with.

This caused quite a commotion, but since the buildings were all sealed, the zombies inside couldn’t come out.

”Brother Yu, there’s only forty tons on Jinmu Group’s side, and the fuel tanker in the adjacent compound was wrecked by a bomb, leaving less than twenty tons there.”

”Hmm, then load these fuels into our tankers, and remember to categorize them, don’t put them into the aviation kerosene tanker.”

”Got it, I’ll make the arrangements.”

After Dapao and the others left, Li Tie brought a few people to drive two intact trucks found at Jinmu Compound to the nearby compound to load firearms.

Most of these firearms were covered in blood and gore, but there was no time to clean them now.

Also, these firearms weren’t of the same type, and the ammunition wasn’t the same either.

They were all brought back and stored in the warehouse at the Big Camphor Tree Base.

The pace of the search was very slow, but just within Jinmu Compound alone, they filled an entire truck with guns.

Over two thousand guns in total.

The Big Camphor Tree Base currently wasn’t lacking firearms, but suitable personnel were in short supply.

In Doomsday, Li Yu never dared to entrust such lethal weapons to people he didn’t trust.

There are many madmen in Doomsday, and if the guns were distributed to all the extra staff and even cooperative personnel,

it could result in gun proliferation, leading to conflicts that would inevitably cause bloodshed and many casualties.

Moreover, if both cooperative personnel and extra staff were armed, would they still remain as obedient as now?

Not necessarily.

Li Yu didn’t dare to gamble on this.

Therefore, up till now, his control remained very strict.

.....

Time ticked by.

In the blink of an eye, it was noon.

The sun was scorching, and the air was hot and dry.

Everyone wore anti-explosion suits to prevent any mishaps.

Once they sealed what needed sealing,

And gathered the fuels and firearms they could find, they regrouped at the open area of Jinmu Compound.

The zombies in the buildings, hearing the commotion outside,

Came out one after another, but now they were sealed inside and couldn’t come out, only able to helplessly howl inside the buildings.

”Director Li, I just did a quick count; this time we confiscated 3,205 intact firearms, there aren’t many bullets.

In addition, there are 235 intact vehicles and 80 tons of fuel.

....

Ju Tianrui, holding a notebook, got into the armored car to report to Li Yu.

After hearing Ju Tianrui’s report, Li Yu nodded and said, ”Bring along the main items, and leave the other supplies; after we deal with the scammers from Lao Country and Myanmar, we’ll come back and take everything.

Also, did you drain the fuel from the vehicles in the compound?”

Ju Tianrui hurriedly said, ”All drained, and right, I forgot to say, the fuel from all those vehicles totals nearly 10 tons.

If we hadn’t found two tankers, our own tanker wouldn’t have been enough!”

”Hmm? Didn’t we consume quite a bit of fuel on the way here? Why couldn’t we fit more?” Li Yu asked curiously.

Ju Tianrui said, ”Among the tankers we brought, one is specifically for aviation kerosene and can’t be mixed with gasoline or diesel.

Although we consumed a lot on the road, it was a total of less than 30 tons.

But here, we found 80 tons of fuel.

So, it simply won’t all fit.”

Hearing Ju Tianrui’s explanation, Li Yu finally understood.

It seems that their operation here on the fraudulent compound, to eradicate these scammers,

Though it consumed a lot of fuel and bullets,

they still managed to replenish their stocks, even doubling them.

They also confiscated thousands of firearms and a huge cache of supplies inside.

This trip was worthwhile.

But when it comes to the artillery shells, those are irreplaceable items.

But there’s no other way.

To inflict the greatest damage with the least loss,

they had to use artillery together with zombie attraction potion to achieve such results.

Otherwise, if they fought them directly with blades and guns, it would undoubtedly be very strenuous and likely cost many lives.

”Understood, okay then, let everyone prepare to leave here; the stench of blood here is too strong, and some of the zombies from last night surely remain in the dark corners nearby.

Let’s leave this troublesome place quickly.”

”Okay, I’ll go ahead.”

”Hmm.”

Li Yu watched Ju Tianrui step off the armored vehicle, looking at the scene outside through the bulletproof glass.

He felt a sense of relief, finally tearing down a fraudulent den.

There are two more to go.

Just wait, a light flashed in Li Yu’s eyes.

He was getting more adept at using artillery in conjunction with zombie attraction potion.

Previously, the potion could only be used during rainstorms, but after verification, it could achieve excellent results when paired with artillery.
