The Delicate Darling with Her Rough Man

Old Nine already held a grudge for losing three-quarters of the black market. Now that Lu Yuanbin had facial soap, Old Nine’s own goods were becoming even less profitable.

He had recently heard that morale was low on Old Nine’s side.

Fearing he would be squeezed out of the black market, Old Nine tried to find a way to learn about his supply channels. But Lu Yuanbin was very cautious, and the other party found nothing.

If he could never find anything out, then so be it; that would just mean he was useless.

But somehow, Old Nine found someone to imitate Gu Jiaojiao’s facial soap, and it was even selling quite well.

If the other party had never gotten a taste of the profits, it would have been one thing. But now that he knew how much money the facial soap could make, he certainly wouldn’t be willing to stop selling it.

But then his fake product had issues, ruining its reputation. In the future, no one would buy it again.

Old Nine would very likely turn his schemes on him, using his backer to deal with him.

Although Lu Yuanbin had some skills, they were only good for dealing with people on his own level. If the person behind Old Nine really got involved, he would be completely finished.

But he couldn’t accept it.

This was a market he had worked his ass off to build. Why should he just hand it over because of some underhanded tricks?

”Old Nine is a narrow-minded man. He already resented you, and now that you’ve cut off his income, he’s bound to get desperate.”

Hearing Leng Yuan’s analysis, Lu Yuanbin grew anxious. ”Then what should I do? Am I really supposed to just give up the market?”

Leng Yuan didn’t respond.

Lu Yuanbin cautiously watched his Brother Leng’s expression.

’Even though his Brother Leng rarely got involved in the black market business, he was the one who made all the key decisions. Don’t tell me even he has no solution this time!’

’If that’s the case, I’m really screwed.’

”That son of a bitch, Old Nine, he’s so damn shameless. His own supply channels suck, he takes too big a cut, and he oppresses the people in the black market. No one wants to work with him, so he holds a grudge against me. If he’s got the guts, he should fight me. Fucking coward.”

Lu Yuanbin was furious.

The business he was in was shady to begin with, and the other party was in a position of power. All they needed was to find a little dirt on him, and he would be finished, without even a chance to fight back.

”Forget it. I’ve looked into An Mingjiang’s background. He’s from the An Family in Beijing. They’re deeply connected. I’m afraid we’re no match for them.”

The crackdowns had been tight recently, so he had been extremely careful. Ever since the last batch of facial soap sold out, he hadn’t sold any for days. He even repeatedly warned the smaller vendors to be cautious.

But as long as he continued to sell, it would be very simple for them to take him down.

”Since they want the black market, just give it to Old Nine.”

Hearing his Brother Leng say this, Lu Yuanbin was left speechless.

Although he had prepared for the worst, he had still been holding on to a sliver of hope. Now, that hope was completely shattered.

”I guess this is the only way.”

Making money was important, but his life was more important. If he got caught, he would have earned a fortune he couldn’t live to spend.

”You had a good partnership with the black market in the neighboring county before. See if they can take the goods from your smaller vendors. It’s a bit farther, but you can still make money.”

”As for the facial soap, you don’t have to sell it. Let the neighboring counties sell it.”

The moment Leng Yuan finished speaking, Lu Yuanbin jumped up in excitement.

”Brother Leng, that idea is brilliant! Absolutely genius!”

”I’ll just reroute my business! Even if Old Nine takes over the entire black market, he’ll have nothing to sell. I’ll have pulled out of the market here, but I’ll be making even more money!”

Thinking this, it was no wonder Lu Yuanbin was excited.

He’d be earning more money in less time. He was even starting to regret that this hadn’t happened sooner. If he’d known he could do business like this, he’d have wished for Old Nine to start pressuring him earlier.

Earning money effortlessly like this—wouldn’t that be even better?

Seeing the matter was resolved, Leng Yuan stood up. ”Now that it’s settled, you can go.”
