The Delicate Darling with Her Rough Man

Mr. Jiu frowned.

Side by side, the two wrappers presented a stark contrast. The pattern on the wrapper for the facial soap he sold was coarse and shoddy, while the other was exquisite and beautiful. The floral design was clearly the same, yet the impression they gave was night and day.

Mr. Jiu’s eyes narrowed. He realized he hadn’t compared them closely before, having only given them a cursory glance. ’Looks like the manufacturing process needs improvement,’ he thought.

”This alone doesn’t prove the facial soap has anything to do with us.”

The woman, seeming to know he wouldn’t admit it, sneered. ”The real facial soap only comes in three colors: white, green, and black. There’s no pink, purple, or yellow. I’ve already had someone look into it.”

Mr. Jiu was well aware of this and responded with a pre-prepared line.

”These are new facial soaps, still in the trial sales phase. They’re all made by the same person.”

Hearing this, the woman’s scorn became even more pronounced. ”You really don’t know when to quit, do you?”

”Fine. I’ll show you exactly where your fakes fall short.”

With that, the woman called for some water and submerged both wrappers in it.

After a moment, a beautiful pattern emerged on one of them. The other showed nothing.

The woman looked triumphant. ”See? The real one has this pattern, but the fake one doesn’t. You clearly sold us counterfeit goods! And you claimed they were made by the same person, that the packaging was the same. Now you see the difference, don’t you? You liar! You’ll pay for what you did to my face!”

The woman came from a wealthy family and had never been wronged in her life. Seeing Mr. Jiu’s face right in front of her, she flew into a rage and clawed at him.

”You swindler, selling fake junk! You’ll pay for my face!”

She was absolutely furious. She’d had an allergic reaction ever since she started using this soap. She stopped using it and went to the hospital for medication, but her skin showed no signs of improvement.

Driven mad with anger and past the point of caring about the consequences, she had come to the black market to settle the score.

Mr. Jiu’s face was scratched to ribbons, and he exploded in anger.

”Grab her! I’m going to teach her a lesson today!”

The woman heard him but wasn’t the least bit afraid. ”You lay one finger on me and see what happens. My husband is Zhang Tianming.”

Mr. Jiu’s underlings were stunned.

Mr. Jiu himself was startled.

’This woman is Zhang Tianming’s wife?’

’The very man I was trying to curry favor with by sending him facial soap?’

’How could this be?’

Naturally, Mr. Jiu didn’t dare to touch her. He could only wave his men away and approach her with a fawning smile.

”Mrs. Zhang, this is all just a huge misunderstanding between friends...”

The woman wasn’t about to listen to him. She just clawed him again.

”Friends my ass! You ruined my face! I’m going to kill you!”

With that, she tackled Mr. Jiu, pinned him to the ground, and started beating him.

Women don’t fight like men. They have long nails and like to scratch. Not only did she scratch Mr. Jiu’s face to shreds, but his neck, the backs of his hands, his face—any exposed skin was not spared.

Mr. Jiu howled in pain. His underlings were frantic, but they didn’t dare step forward.

This woman was the wife of the top man in charge. If they touched her, there would be no place left for them in Qingshan County by tomorrow.

”My good lady, please, don’t be angry! I’ll pay! I’ll pay!”

Mr. Jiu couldn’t take it anymore and agreed to compensate her.

But the woman just threw the facial soap at Mr. Jiu and sneered.

”I don’t need your damn money! You can compensate them!”

In the end, far from making a profit, Mr. Jiu ended up paying out a hefty sum.

Seeing that Mr. Jiu had paid the compensation, and having given him a beating, the woman left.

But her face... it probably wouldn’t ever recover.

She walked away, sobbing as she went.
