Starting With an SSS-Rank Swordsmanship Talent

Namgung Jae-wan’s head fell to the ground with a ’thud’.

Looking at the headless corpse, Bellator snorted coldly. ”I warned you.”

”Noo!! My grandson! How dare you kill my grandson?!” Namgung Ilsun rose to his feet and charged toward Bellator, his face contorted with fury.

The surrounding mana fluctuated intensely as he activated his mana heart.

Bellator sneered inwardly upon seeing this. With his perception, he sensed the old man’s unusual mana heart.

He managed to form a mana heart, but it’s so imperfect that his refined mana is leaking out excessively. This so-called Beyonder is nothing more than a broken vessel. He is a fake!

With a grunt, he released a punch that split the air. It was like thunder had struck the moment he made his move.

Namgung Ilsun didn’t even see what was coming for him. He only felt like a violent hammer had smashed his face.

Bang!

The Carefree Duke flew like a rag doll and smashed onto the ground with a thunderous blast.

”Lord Duke!”

”Lord Duke!!”

Seeing their lord in such a sorry state, the warriors could no longer sit still. More than half of them ignored the pressure coming from Bellator’s aura and charged ferociously. They brandished their weapons and attacked Bellator in all directions.

”Die!!”

”You aren’t getting away from this!”

Bellator let out a sigh. He didn’t want to cause unnecessary bloodshed, but these people didn’t know any better.

”Reckless fools!”

He summoned his flaming divine spear and waved it in circular motion.

A violent wave of flames erupted, engulfing all the attacking warriors in just a few breaths.

”Ahhh!! Help!!”

”It’s hot!! I’m burning! Help me!”

”Ahh!!”

Screams of agony echoed as the warriors slowly burned to their deaths. Soon, a charred smell of flesh spread across the air.

Thousands of warriors died in the most horrific manner and it only took Bellator one move to deal such devastating damage. The remaining warriors were left terrified.

”A monster! He’s a monster in human skin!”

”Run!”

Some weak-willed warriors fled under the pressure. The others just stood still, too scared to even take a step.

Bellator ignored them and moved his gaze to Namgung Ilsun who was struggling to get up.

”You planned on rebelling with this little bit of strength? What gave you the courage?” His voice was filled with undisguised mockery.

The Carefree Duke had never faced such insults before. It made him feel humiliated.

Although he was furious, the other party’s overwhelming power made him unable to utter a response.

”I will give you one last chance, old man. Follow me to the capital to face your punishment.” Bellator spoke in a commanding voice.

Namgung Ilsun glared at him with eyes that could seemingly spit fire. He wanted to tear the enemy apart, but he knew that he would only meet a cruel end if he were to show any sign of attacking.

He hesitated.

I would end up dying anyway. I might as well give it my all now.

Thinking about this, he roared furiously and instantaneously summoned his domain.

”I will take you to hell with me!!”

He moved like a mirage. His figure was nearly imperceptible.

A speed type domain? Trash!

With a disdainful snort, Bellator adjusted his stance in one fluid motion. He then swung his flaming divine spear and released a rampaging wave of flames that burned everything in its path.

The fearsome flames engulfed the terrain, turning it into a huge cloud of hellfire.

Namgung Ilsun could feel his clothes and armor melting under the blazing heat, but he ignored the searing pain and stabbed out with his sword.

Whoosh!

A brilliant light shot forth from the tip of his sword and fiercely tore through the air.

Bellator twirled his spear and summoned a wall of fire empowered by his refined mana.

BANG!!!

An earth-shattering explosion erupted, followed by a series of devastating shockwaves. Cracks and fissures burst from the ground, looking like the coming of armageddon. The hill where the Carefree Duke’s estate was situated nearly collapsed.

When the dust settled, the famous landmark in all of Gilmatan, the duke’s estate, fell into ruins.

Bellator calmly walked along the ruins while keeping his eyes on Namgung Ilsun whose body was half-charred.

”This would have gone better if you hadn’t touched His Highness’s people. You have yourself to blame for this tragedy.” He spoke in a matter-of-fact tone. Even after killing thousands of people, there was no remorse in his voice.

Namgung Ilsun was still alive, but that last attack almost burned him to death. His burns were so severe that one could see his flesh squirming from the intense heat. It was a gruesome sight.

”Who are you!? How come I don’t know anything about you?!” He roared, his eyes filled with insanity.

Bellator was the most powerful warrior he had ever seen, but it was unusual for someone of this caliber to remain unnoticed.

There was only one possibility.

”Did you come from beyond this desolate region?!”

Bellator stopped in his tracks and sent the dying old man a light smile. ”At least you are not a complete idiot, but what’s the use of knowing it now?”

Namgung Ilsun suddenly cackled malevolently, his crazed laughter echoing across the ruined estate. ”Who would have thought? Even after advancing to this realm, I’m still nothing before a warrior from beyond this desolate region! Hahaha!”

Bellator’s smile vanished. With a flash, his figure blurred and reappeared in front of Namgung Ilsun. He then struck the Carefree Duke’s nape using the blunt part of his spear.

”As much as I would like to kill you myself, there is somewhere you need to be.” He muttered.

He bent down and used his powers to seal Namgung Ilsun’s mana heart. He then headed to the underground prison to save Warrick and the others.

Luckily the old thing didn’t kill them. Otherwise, I wouldn’t know how to explain myself to His Highness.

He was relieved when he sensed that Warrick and the others were still alive.
