Starting Out As The God of Beasts

The night was still fresh, the cool midnight breeze carrying the ambient hum of Yutao City’s late-night trade.

Deep within an abandoned, unlit alleyway tucked behind a row of dilapidated stone warehouses, a black-scaled lizard crawled quietly out of a cracked stone wall.

The moment its claws touched the damp earth, a soft, violet light enveloped its small frame.

The creature lengthened, its structure expanding and shifting until it transformed seamlessly back into Roy’s striking human form.

His long, silky golden hair cascaded down past his waist, catching the faint glint of the distant moon.

For a brief moment, his golden-crimson eyes flickered with a cold, terrifying brilliance before his expression settled, his frown deepening into a thoughtful line.

”Crimson Spotted Leopard-kin...” Roy muttered softly under his breath, taking a slow, deep breath of the night air.

”And an A-class species as well.”

He tilted his head slightly, a small, dark smirk gradually curving his lips.

”The fact that they are now entirely without an elder or a tribe leader makes them even more appealing. A proud, high-tier beastman clan that has lost its foundation... broken, traumatized, and marching toward absolute despair.”

Roy lowered his hand, his eyes burning with a calculating, divine ambition.

”I will be their savior. I will pull them from the very jaws of human slavery, and I will use that absolute gratitude as the precise lever to utterly crush Kaelos City to dust.

Through their liberation, the gospel will spread like wildfire... they will know that it was the God of Beasts who reached down into the dark to deliver them.”

A soft, melodic giggle escaped his throat—a sound carrying both dark amusement and absolute confidence.

”This is good... this is very, very good.”

He turned his gaze toward the distant skyline where their inn was situated.

”I should go back and meet the girls.”

FSHHH!

With a silent pulse of mana, Roy’s body dissolved into a cluster of radiant silver light.

A single, shimmering moonlight fly—a microscopic, ethereal insect that bled into the night air like a fleck of dust—emerged from the light.

It launched into the sky, zipping across the rooftops of Yutao City at blinding speed.

Flying unhindered through the quiet streets, the moonlight fly reached the upper window of their hotel room.

Slipping effortlessly through a tiny opening between the wooden shutters, it entered the quiet chamber and expanded back into Roy’s tall, elegant human frame.

The room was completely silent, save for the rhythmic, steady breathing of Eurenia and Alisa.

The two Martial Generals were seated cross-legged on the rug in front of the balcony, completely immersed in deep meditation.

The four high-tier mana cores Roy had provided were floating gently in the air before them, slowly dissolving into streams of pure, liquid spiritual energy.

Roy observed them with a satisfied nod.

They were absorbing the mana cores at a flawless pace—neither rushing the intake nor allowing the energy to stagnate.

This disciplined, balanced absorption would serve as the ideal catalyst for expanding their internal conduits and opening the doors toward potential enlightenment.

Seeing how deeply focused they were, Roy chose not to disturb their fragile spiritual state.

He quietly stripped off his outer shirt, tossed it over a chair, and dived directly onto the massive, plush bed.

Cuddling a soft feather pillow against his chest, he closed his eyes and drifted into a tranquil sleep.

The morning sun rose in a flash, painting the sky in vibrant shades of gold and orange.

Roy was gently shaken awake by a soft, melodic voice.

He opened his golden-crimson eyes to find both beauties standing beside his bed.

A noticeable change had taken place overnight.

Alisa’s aura had grown significantly sharper, her internal mana output pulsating with a newly refined, concentrated force.

During her nocturnal meditation, she had successfully grasped a sudden flash of insight, achieving enlightenment and smoothly advancing to the Middle-Enlightened Martial General stage!

Eurenia, however, remained at the Peak-Enlightened Martial General threshold.

Her mana was vast and overflowing, but the final, invisible wall standing between her and the Martial Lord realm remained firm.

Without the direct blessing or intervention of a true god, it was nearly impossible for a mortal cultivator to break through a major realm barrier on their own.

Especially when attempting to cross the vast chasm separating a Martial General from a Martial Lord, a cultivator required a profound, soul-shattering epiphany to scale the monumental wall and ascend.

Both Martial Generals bowed deeply in unison, their feline ears flattening slightly in absolute respect as they cupped their hands toward the bed.

”Good morning, Lord Apostle,” they greeted diligently, their voices echoing in harmony.

Roy sat up, running a hand through his long golden hair, and acknowledged their greeting with a calm nod.

He looked directly at Alisa, his lips curving into a genuine smile.

”Congratulations on achieving enlightenment, Alisa. Your progress is commendable.” He then turned his gaze toward Eurenia, offering a warm, steady look of encouragement.

”Do not be discouraged, Eurenia. Keep striving. The path to the higher realms may be narrow and treacherous, but it still leads to a definite destination. You must navigate through the thorns and thickets with patience to reach the peak.”

Eurenia bowed her head even lower, her heart warmed by his words. ”Thank you for your guidance, Lord Apostle. I will engrave your words into my core.” She raised her eyes, looking at him with eager curiosity.

”If I may ask... did my Lord uncover anything useful during your investigation last night?”

Roy let out a long, relaxed yawn, stretching his arms over his head. ”Yes, quite a lot.”

He swung his legs over the edge of the bed and walked bare-chested toward the grand window, pushing the wooden shutters wide open.

The warm morning sunlight flooded into the room, illuminating his muscular torso, long golden hair, and radiant posture.

Standing bathed in the golden light with a serene, beautiful smile plastered across his face, Roy turned his head slightly to address them.

”We will be packing our belongings and heading directly for the Northern Hashian Mountains as quickly as possible,” Roy declared smoothly.

Alisa blinked, tilting her head in confusion.

”The Northern Hashian Mountains? But why, Lord Apostle? Isn’t that region heavily guarded by human forces?”

Roy kept his smile, stepping away from the window as he began to explain everything he had overheard in the tavern—the stolen abomination cores, the involvement of the Glorious Mythical Sect, and the tragic fall of the A-class Crimson Spotted Leopard-Kin tribe after the death of their leader, Tribe Leader Agrea.

As Roy laid out the details of the captive column currently being dragged in chains toward Kaelos City, Eurenia and Alisa’s eyes widened, their feline tails stiffening with sudden, fierce emotion.

”An entire A-class tribe... captured?” Eurenia whispered, her fists clenching so hard her claws dug into her palms.

”Precisely,” Roy replied, his golden-crimson eyes glinting with a dangerous, divine light.

”They are currently leaderless, broken, and heading for the slave markets. Therefore, we must prepare ourselves immediately.

We are not merely going north to rescue our captured kin... we are going to use their liberation as the spearhead to utterly obliterate Kaelos City.”
