Love Strategy: CEO He is Really Scheming！

”Mm.” Nicole ate her breakfast slowly, holding the soy milk, her palm sweating slightly, feeling a bit nervous. ”If you don’t have anything else, I’ll head upstairs.”

At this moment, Jose Floyd held Nicole’s hand.

”Jose Floyd—” Nicole’s heart fluttered with panic, trying to pull back, but he held her tightly. She anxiously looked at Jose Floyd.

Looking into Nicole’s eyes, Jose’s gaze was exceptionally deep, ”It’s winter now, wear more layers.”

Her fingertips were a bit cold, prompting him to say this.

Nicole glanced at her woolen T-shirt and jacket, ”I’m already wearing a lot. My hands are always cold, it’s not like you don’t know... I mean, wearing more doesn’t help either. If there’s nothing else, Jose Floyd, you can leave too.”

His inexplicable concern made her heart race with panic, almost losing control of the stirring emotion within.

”Nicole.” As she stood up, he called her name in a deep voice, ”I’m sorry...”

”What?” Nicole turned back in surprise at this man who seemed so abnormal today. ”What did you just say?”

Was she hearing things?

Did she actually hear the aloof Jose Floyd inexplicably say sorry? It was practically unbelievable!

Jose Floyd looked deeply at the surprised woman who hadn’t come to her senses, sighed inwardly, and let go of his hand, ”It’s nothing, just pretend you didn’t hear that. Remember to eat your nutritional meals.”

”Oh.” Nicole was completely puzzled, not understanding what was going on with the man who suddenly appeared at the hospital to find her today.

Nicole left and returned to the inpatient building. Watching her slender back disappear, Jose Floyd’s fingers clenched into fists, whispering again, ”Nicole... I owe you an apology, do you understand?”

Jose Floyd’s voice was hoarse, but this apology voiced in such an inexplicable situation didn’t hit the mark, leaving Nicole unable to grasp the meaning behind this ’sorry.’

When Nicole returned to Steven Cooper’s hospital room, she found Brianna Wilson standing by the window, and her heart skipped a beat.

Had Brianna Wilson seen her and Jose Floyd downstairs earlier?

Carrying unease, Nicole walked over, ”Auntie, you should go and rest. I’ll take care of Brother Cooper.”

Brianna Wilson responded with a cold glance, her eyes clearly guarded.

Brianna’s gaze carried hostility, but she said nothing, grabbing her bag to leave. As she reached the door, the elegantly aloof Brianna stopped, ”Give me your phone, I need to call Old Cooper to pick me up.”

”Auntie, is your phone out of battery? Here, use mine.” Seeing Brianna willing to speak to her, Nicole immediately handed over her unlocked phone with great respect and courtesy.

Brianna Wilson took Nicole’s phone and left the hospital room.

Standing outside the corridor, Brianna held her own phone in one hand and Nicole’s phone in the other, checking her contact list.

Seeing a contact named ’Chet,’ Brianna’s eyes filled with hatred, her peripheral vision casting a cold glance back at the hospital room, as if looking at Nicole with a chill.

With slender fingers, she recorded Jose Floyd’s phone number in her own phone, her cold and elegant demeanor restored. She returned to the hospital room, handed Nicole her phone, and left.

After Brianna Wilson left, Nicole’s phone suddenly beeped with an incoming message.

”Nicole, take good care of yourself, remember to eat more nutritious meals. I’ll try to contact doctors worldwide to help Steven Cooper recover.”
