Love Strategy: CEO He is Really Scheming！

Camden was captured, and almost everyone thought that Arlo Seys’s next step would be to settle accounts with him, since Camden was his man. Yet, over half a month passed without seeing Arlo come by.

Nicole didn’t respond, she simply spoke softly, ”Go back, Jose Floyd, I’m going in first.”

Nicole said this as she turned around.

She trusted that Camden’s attempt to kill her wasn’t his intention. Even if he didn’t say it, she wouldn’t doubt him. Unexpectedly, the usually taciturn Camden explained himself in front of her. Nicole felt a touch of warmth in her heart.

Suddenly, her wrist was grasped tightly by someone; Jose Floyd’s hand firmly held Nicole’s wrist, ”Nicole, let’s go back to...”

”Jose Floyd, this is neither the time nor the place to talk about this.” Nicole pushed Jose Floyd’s hand aside and walked towards the inpatient department.

Her steps were somewhat hurried and unsteady. Jose watched her increasingly thin silhouette, and his outstretched hand clenched tightly, whispering, ”Nicole.”

The tips of his fingers seemed to still carry her faint, fresh scent. Jose’s cold face showed a trace of emotion, and he turned away.

Nicole sat outside Steven’s hospital room. The quiet of the room was too oppressive, and she sat in the hallway, letting out a deep sigh.

About half an hour passed, and a nurse walked over, handing her something, ”Miss Seys, have something to eat.”

”Thank you, but no need...”

”This was brought up by a gentleman earlier, asked our colleagues downstairs to deliver it without saying a word, just requested to give it to you, and then left.”

Nicole’s hand, which was rejecting, froze. She reached out to take the item, thanking the nurse.

After the nurse left, Nicole sat alone in the hallway, opening the package, and a fragrant aroma wafted out.

A beautifully packaged lunch box contained four compartments: one held rice, and the other three held two meat and one vegetable dish, all delicately made.

And in a separate ceramic jar, there was soup.

Aside from these, there was a tin of mixed dried fruit snacks, containing mango slices, dried blueberries, dried strawberries, banana chips...

Nicole took a few bites of rice, then held the soup while sitting in the corridor to drink. The oppressive quiet of the inpatient department at this moment made her feel somewhat warm.

Nicole held the soup, a gentle smile on her lips.

Unexpectedly, someone as cold as him still had this meticulous side.

Tonight’s meal, Nicole didn’t eat much, but it was the most and warmest she’d eaten in over half a month...

Since Jose Floyd showed up that day, every meal, every day was delivered to the inpatient department.

Nicole, under the stress and fatigue during this period, fainted at the bedside in Steven’s hospital room after the nurse changed his medication, startling the nurses.

When Nicole awoke, it was three hours later. A doctor stood at her bedside, speaking softly, ”Miss Seys, from now on, you need to take care of your body, maintain a balanced diet, avoid excessive fatigue, and keep a good mood. Mr. Cooper has some tests that need large medical equipment, and you can’t be exposed to them anymore, as the radiation is too severe. We recommend you only take care of Mr. Cooper in the hospital room; leave the examinations to our medical staff...”

-

Since fainting, Nicole remained in a dazed state for several days, unable to believe it.

Nevertheless, every day the delivered meals arrived, even if Nicole had no appetite, she’d force herself to eat a little more.

Jose Floyd never appeared again, but every day he had meals and fruit or dried fruit sent to the hospital, instructing the delivery person to ask the nurse about Nicole’s food intake these days.
