Love Strategy: CEO He is Really Scheming！

Nicole didn’t reply, her gaze swept over the long arm under her head, her throat feeling somewhat parched.

And around her waist, beneath her back, was also a wide palm separating her from the cobblestone path, protecting her from harm...

An unspeakable complexity surged together in her heart.

Surprise, bitterness, confusion, and more mingled with throbbing emotions...

In the critical moment, he shielded her again, yet when she looked at him, his expression was calm as he softly asked if she was okay.

She was fine, unharmed under his protection, yet the lump in her throat made it impossible for her to ask him, ”Are you okay?”

Countless unspoken emotions, in the end, Nicole only managed a hoarse whisper, ”Jose Floyd...”

Why?

Why does he always protect her at every crucial moment?

People say that a person’s instinctive reaction in danger is the truest reflection of their heart, and at every dangerous moment, he would always unhesitatingly choose to protect her...

The pain from Jose Floyd’s arm came, as he glanced at the dazed person resting on his arm, he endured the pain without a word, only asking, ”Where are you hurt?”

Jose Floyd’s voice brought the lost Nicole back to her senses, looking at the distance between them, seeing herself still lying in Jose Floyd’s arm, her expression slightly awkward as she intended to get up.

She just moved a bit, when Jose Floyd’s eyebrows furrowed fiercely, he sternly said, ”Don’t move!”

Frightened, Nicole dared not move an inch, only turning her face towards Jose Floyd, still resting in his arm.

”You... your hand is hurt, I’ll call the medical staff over.”

The two were so close, close enough to feel each other’s breath, lying on the cobblestone ground. Nicole’s voice was softly unnatural as she spoke.

”Bruised, don’t move.” Jose Floyd coldly said, his face slightly pale.

”Okay,” Nicole dared not move, lying in Jose Floyd’s arm, her voice very low, ”Jose Floyd, thank you this time.”

”The number of times you’ve owed me probably adds up to a life. Nicole, in this life, your life is mine, protect yourself well. When I don’t ask you to repay me, you must keep yourself entirely unharmed.”

Nicole bit her lip, lying in Jose Floyd’s arm without replying.

”Let’s talk, Nicole.” Jose Floyd’s deep voice sounded.

”Talk about what?” Nicole’s voice was rare and light, not retorting, very cooperative.

Jose Floyd looked at the person in his arm, bright eyes, white teeth, with chestnut hair softly covering her brow, a gentle face clean and refreshing. After a while, Jose Floyd pursed his lips, softly spoke, breathing slightly heavy, ”If there was no hatred between us, would you love me?”

”...”

Nicole bit her lip, her face somewhat pale, remaining silent.

Jose Floyd’s gaze was aggressive, even his breathing became heavier, dark clouds surged in his eyes, he lowly asked, ”I just want you to be truthful. In those five years, did you ever have a moment or a second when you felt something for me?”

Nicole’s eyelashes fluttered gently, her eyes slightly lowered, still silent without a word.

Her demeanor, however, displeased him, he lowered his head and kissed her smooth, fair forehead.

”Jose Floyd—” Nicole’s body trembled as she raised her eyes, directly meeting Jose Floyd’s gaze.

As soon as she uttered a name, her lips were suddenly blocked, covered by his thin lips, all words swallowed back silently.

His lips were cold, touching hers, yet inexplicably, it accelerated her heartbeat uncontrollably...
