Love Strategy: CEO He is Really Scheming！

When Nicole woke up, it was already the next morning.

The first thing she saw when she opened her eyes was the figure standing by the window, with his back to the light and facing away from her, but she could still recognize who it was at a glance.

Jose Floyd—-

The scene before she fainted surfaced in her mind. She remembered collapsing at Jose Floyd’s feet, begging him to save Ryan. So what about Ryan?

What about her nephew??

Nicole struggled to sit up, and the pain from the place injured by the wooden stick made her involuntarily let out a muffled groan, her face pale.

Her voice made the person standing by the window slowly turn his head.

Their eyes met without any warning, and the room fell silent.

The pain in her back was unbearable for Nicole, and she furrowed her brow tightly, sweat beads forming on her forehead. She sat up, her gaze icy cold as she looked at Jose Floyd: ”Where is my nephew?”

The moment she woke up, she struggled to sit upright, concerned only for her nephew’s safety and ignoring her back injury. Jose Floyd’s expression was terrifyingly stern as he coldly glared at Nicole without speaking.

His silence, however, left Nicole feeling chilly inside, her body trembled as she looked back at Jose Floyd, ”Jose Floyd, he’s just a child, why can’t you save... why are you so cold-blooded and...”

”Auntie.”

Ryan’s voice sounded at the doorway, interrupting Nicole’s cold words.

”Ryan!” Nicole’s face lit up with joy when she saw Ryan unharmed, and she breathed a sigh of relief. Her gaze turned back to the tall figure standing by the window, she pursed her lips, recalling what she had just said, her eyes withdrew somewhat awkwardly.

Ryan approached Nicole’s bedside, holding an apple in his hand, smiling at Nicole, ”Auntie, I’m fine.”

”It’s good that you’re fine.” Nicole smiled faintly, reaching out to touch Ryan’s hair, her eyes couldn’t help but glance towards the window, her fingers gently gripped, her heart unsettled.

”Auntie, have an apple.” Ryan handed the apple that the servant had washed to Nicole.

Ryan’s thoughtfulness warmed Nicole’s heart, she held the apple in her palm and couldn’t help but smile lightly, a gentle smile filled with warmth.

Jose Floyd quietly stood by the window, watching the smile on her face, so genuine and gentle, it made the whole room feel cozy.

From their interactions, clearly, she didn’t dislike children that much, but why did she so heartlessly refuse to have two kids?

Was it because they were his?

Because they were Jose Floyd’s children, so she would never let them be born?

The chill in Jose Floyd’s heart slowly rose, covering his eyes, making them devoid of warmth.

Just at this moment.

”Uncle, help peel the apple, my aunt wants to eat fruit.” Ryan’s indifferent voice sounded, his brows carrying a cold arrogance, fitting the commanding tone of a Little Crown Prince.

Jose Floyd was never ordered by anyone, let alone by a little kid, his cold eyes swept directly towards Ryan.

The gaze made Nicole tighten her grip on the apple, instinctively pulling Ryan closer to herself, her speech quick, ”No need, Auntie will peel it later.”

She was truly afraid Ryan would infuriate Jose Floyd, and given her current condition, she couldn’t protect Ryan; in a few moves, she’d be defeated thoroughly!

In Jose Floyd’s dictionary, only he gave orders to others; how could anyone order Jose Floyd around!

Ryan glared at Jose Floyd, his brows showed the same coldness as his father Arlo Seys, yet with an added pride, ”Auntie, once we get back, we’ll find Uncle Cooper. Not just peeling apples, he’d plant an apple tree for me with a smile!”
