Love Strategy: CEO He is Really Scheming！

The message sent was a picture, an image of Daisy lying on the bed, her face looking obviously abnormal.

Clearly, the sender wasn’t Daisy. So, all the calls and messages he made these past days might not have been received by Daisy at all; someone else had taken her phone.

Dawn Sutherland’s slender fingers quickly swiped across the phone screen and dialed a number.....

——-

Washington.

Ricky Brooke was guarding in front of Daisy Grant’s bed, watching her pale lips weakly mumbling that person’s name.

Right then, Daisy Grant’s old phone started ringing. Ricky Brooke didn’t need to check the caller ID to know who it was; he coldly pressed the reject button.

The phone rang over and over again, sounding so abrupt in the silent room.

Finally, after it persistently rang five times, Ricky Brooke impatiently pressed the answer button, and with an unpleasant tone, yelled at the other end, ”Speak quickly, don’t waste my time!”

On the other side, Dawn Sutherland’s voice was somewhat hoarse, laced with urgency and fear, ”Ricky Brooke, is she... alright?”

Ricky Brooke chuckled coldly, his voice frigid, ”Thanks to you, she’s not alright! Especially not alright! Dawn Sutherland, Daisy must have had incredibly bad luck in her past life to love you in this one, to be hurt by you time and time again!”

”Ricky Brooke... can you put the phone to her ear, so I can just hear her breathing? Ricky Brooke... please.” Dawn Sutherland’s voice was even more hoarse, asking with bitterness.

Ricky Brooke’s gaze fell upon the person on the hospital bed, seeing her unconsciously call out for the person on the phone. Her heart softened, and she placed the phone by the unconscious Daisy Grant’s ear.

”Second Brother... Second Brother... Second Brother...”

The powerless and hoarse murmurs passed through the phone to the other side, where Dawn Sutherland was standing in front of the floor-to-ceiling window of his office in City C. His throat choked up, his hand hanging by his side clenched tightly into a fist, heart aching like being nibbled by thousands of ants, a pain that seemed to pierce bone and lungs, his gaze turned moist.

For a long time, the whispered murmurings from the dream echoed into his ears, making Dawn Sutherland unable to resist speaking, his voice low and hoarse, ”Daisy, where are you? Second Brother will take you home, alright?”

On the other side, the murmurings grew weaker and quieter, but in the end, Dawn Sutherland only heard faint breathing, no longer the call of ’Second Brother.’

Dawn Sutherland’s heart tightened. He shouted over the phone, ”Ricky Brooke, what’s wrong with her! Check her quickly! Ricky Brooke!”

On the other end, sounds were heard, several different footsteps. Dawn Sutherland guessed it must be the doctor and Ricky Brooke and others, probably busy trying to save Daisy.

Dawn Sutherland stood before the floor-to-ceiling window, holding his phone, his fingertips cold and trembling slightly.

”Ricky Brooke, which country are you in?! Tell me!” Dawn Sutherland couldn’t bear it anymore, shouting hoarsely into the phone that wasn’t hung up, almost using all his strength.

But the response he got was a cruel beep, the phone line was busy.

Looking at the call-ended screen, Dawn Sutherland’s eyes filled with unease and panic, standing in C.Y’s office, murmuring softly, ”Daisy, you have to be alright, you haven’t returned to my side, I still owe you a grand wedding, and I haven’t fulfilled my promise of ’protecting you for a lifetime,’ so you have to be alright, alright to let me repay my debt to you, okay?”

In these two days, Dawn Sutherland made countless phone calls and sent numerous messages inquiring about Daisy Grant’s condition, but to no avail; Ricky Brooke simply ignored him and eventually turned off the phone.

Dawn Sutherland’s heart was constantly raised, thinking about Daisy Grant, her condition, and how he could find her....
