Chapter 657: Chapter 657: Being Framed

As soon as the call connected and she heard Dawn Sutherland’s voice, Daisy Grant frantically screamed into the phone, ”Brother, help! Hel...”

Before Daisy could finish her sentence, there was a loud crash, and the phone was slammed down hard, the screen shattering instantly.

In that moment of shock, Daisy was slapped violently!

”Daisy!” Ariel Morris was restrained and couldn’t move. She looked at Daisy with worry, angrily shouting at the two men holding her, ”Let me go! What do you want? We’ll give you anything you want! However much money you need! Just let us go!”

The two men smirked at Ariel, their eyes lingering on her, ”What do we want? Our Brother Morales wants both of you! Why else would we go through all this trouble to bring you here!”

”Exactly! Just for a woman like you,” one of the men stared directly at Ariel’s innocent face, smirking, ”You! You’re the girl that Brother Morales spent a hundred thousand on! You think he’ll just let you go that easily?!”

Ariel’s eyes were filled with panic, and she shook her head fiercely, ”I don’t know what you’re talking about! You’ve got the wrong person! What hundred thousand? If it’s money you want, fine, don’t say a hundred thousand, even two hundred thousand, as long as you let us go, I can have it transferred immediately!”

As long as she and Daisy could be safe, money was not an issue; her brother and Arlo both had plenty. They would surely save them.

The response Ariel received was laughter from several men, as if scoffing at her offer.

The bar’s security and bartenders all knew this group, aware they were connected to Wells Morales, the boss of the Restricted District, so no one dared offend them. Afraid of an incident, the head of security quietly slipped away to inform his boss.

The group kept control over Ariel and Daisy, leading them towards Wells Morales’s private room.

Once inside, the group shoved Ariel and Daisy into the room.

Wells Morales, who had been enjoying a woman’s singing, was displeased at the interruption. But when his gaze fell on the two women his underlings brought back, his annoyance disappeared, and his eyes fixated intently on them.

Wells gestured, and the singing in the noisy room stopped instantly. Even his followers extinguished their cigarettes, awaiting the show that was about to unfold.

As Ariel and Daisy were brought in, and saw the room full of men, fear and anxiety reached their peak; they were engulfed in panic and despair. Both their legs trembled, barely able to stand.

Wells beckoned to Ariel with a mischievous smile.

Ariel bit her lip hard, her eyes like daggers glaring at Wells, wanting to tear him apart.

The underling pushed Ariel towards Wells, and only then did Wells notice the red and swollen eye of one underling. He paused and scolded in a low voice, ”Jackie, I asked you to invite the ladies, why do you look like that?!”

The man called Jackie was the one Ariel had scratched, and hearing his boss’s words, he couldn’t help but curse, glaring fiercely at Ariel, saying, ”This girl! She used her nails!”

Wells glared at Jackie, ”Useless!” His attention returned to Ariel, a smile playing at his lips, ”She looks like a lily, but with the temperament of a prickly cactus! I like it!”
