Urban Supreme Evil Young Master

At the same time, below the residential building, inside a white cargo van, sat five people led by Zhao Yongxin, all in the cargo compartment.

Each of them looked serious and fully armed, exuding a chilling aura of menace.

”Captain, can the nightingale handle it alone?”

At this moment, a man, holding a ’Striker’ shotgun and wearing a heavy bulletproof vest, looked at Zhao Yongxin and spoke in a deep voice filled with gravity.

This man, code-named Thunderfire, is the demolition expert of the six-man combat team.

”Don’t worry, we’ve worked together for so long, nightingale’s reconnaissance abilities are quite good. Don’t you know that?”

Hearing this, Zhao Yongxin spoke while keeping his eyes on the laptop in front of him, monitoring the movements of Lu Yu in one of the buildings to prevent Lu Yu’s departure.

”Captain, we’ve worked together for so long, I’m not questioning nightingale’s abilities.”

After hearing Zhao Yongxin’s words, Thunderfire said, ”It’s just that this Lu Yu, when I saw him at the Victory Group today, I felt he was quite unusual. Having nightingale monitor him alone, I feel, isn’t very advisable.”

As a demolition expert, Thunderfire has to frequently make explosive devices, so his mind is correspondingly meticulous and steady.

This morning at the Victory Group, the intense murderous aura emanating from Lu Yu was most keenly felt by Thunderfire himself, which is why he raised this question now.

”Don’t worry, nightingale, after all, is a member of the Golden Eagle Special Operations Team, not someone weak and inept.”

Hearing Thunderfire’s words, Zhao Yongxin said, ”This time, there is absolutely no way he’ll have any...”

Bam!

At that moment, before Zhao Yongxin could finish speaking, a loud crash suddenly resounded from the roof of the van they were hiding in.

Looking up, they saw a large dent on the van’s roof, obviously caused by a heavy object.

”There’s a situation!”

Faced with this sudden change, Zhao Yongxin picked up a weapon beside him abruptly and said, ”Go check it out!”

At his words, Thunderfire and the three other operatives nodded quickly. After loading their weapons, they swiftly opened the van’s door and rushed out at maximum speed!

Their charge was incredibly swift, showcasing their steady skills.

Click! Click! Click!

Rushing out of the van, Thunderfire and the three other operatives immediately pointed their guns around, showing vigilant intent.

Yet, in spite of their alertness, they found nothing unusual!

The residential area was as silent as before, with no apparent danger.

”Check the roof!”

Seeing nothing unusual, Thunderfire said to an operative beside him, his speech laden with vigilance.

Despite the apparent calm, the loud crash and severely deformed roof earlier were undeniable.

Thus, Thunderfire instructed the operative to check the van’s roof.

Hearing Thunderfire, the operative nodded and quickly looked toward the roof.

The result was shocking. At the sight of the van’s roof, the operative’s expression froze, revealing a hint of astonishment in his eyes!

For on the van’s roof lay a corpse!

The corpse’s limbs were limp, the head severely deformed, and dark red blood trickling down from the roof, starkly contrasting against the white van.

Although the corpse’s head was severely deformed, the operative could still clearly recognize that the body on the roof was undoubtedly the nightingale!

Seeing the astonished expression of this operative, Thunderfire and the two other operatives also came over and looked at the van’s roof.

The result was the same: Thunderfire and the two operatives were equally stunned on the spot!

The four of them could hardly believe that the nightingale, whom Zhao Yongxin had confidently assured would be fine, died right on top of this van!

The residential area is of moderate quality, with buildings over a dozen stories high. Falling from such a height would be fatal even for someone as trained as the nightingale!

”Stay alert! Lu Yu is on the rooftop!”

Seeing the scene before him, Thunderfire reacted instantly, raising his ’Striker’ shotgun and aiming at the rooftop.

Nightingale, as a reconnaissance specialist in the Golden Eagle Special Operations Team, was experienced and agile, and unlikely to have fallen accidentally from the rooftop.

Thus, his death by falling from the rooftop indicated he had encountered trouble there.

And that trouble was likely Lu Yu!

At his words, the three operatives also aimed at the rooftop quickly.

”Thunderfire, what’s going on?”

Sensing Thunderfire’s alert stance, Zhao Yongxin, sitting in the van, felt something was amiss.

He closed his laptop, grabbed his weapon, and stepped out, asking as he went toward Thunderfire.

”Captain, nightingale was thrown from the rooftop to his death, and Lu Yu must be the one who did it!”

Hearing Zhao Yongxin’s question, Thunderfire spoke, his words icy cold.

”What!?”

At these words, Zhao Yongxin’s expression changed sharply, and he looked towards the van’s roof, seeing nightingale’s body lying there in a gruesome state!

”Damn it!”

Seeing the scene before him, Zhao Yongxin cursed in anger, raising his weapon to aim at the rooftop, searching for Lu Yu’s figure.

But upon aiming, Zhao Yongxin and the operatives froze completely.

Through their sights, they saw Lu Yu slowly appear from the edge of the rooftop, looking down at them with an eye full of superiority and a strong sense of mockery!

Lu Yu now bore an overlooking demeanor, like a king gazing down upon ants, his eyes cold and indifferent, imposing.

While gazing down, Lu Yu slowly extended his right index finger, beckoning to Zhao Yongxin and the others, while a faint smirk of disdain graced his lips.

Provocation!

Lu Yu’s current act was an open provocation towards Zhao Yongxin, an attitude of utter arrogance to the extreme!
