Urban Supreme Evil Young Master

Thirty minutes later, Lin’an City’s Dagang Pier.

As an international metropolis, Lin’an City’s pier handles a substantial amount of cargo daily, reaching a staggering number. It is precisely this enormous cargo throughput that has made the cargo handling and warehousing industry here so prosperous.

At present, Dagang Pier is as bustling as ever, with countless cargo and passenger ships docked here. The sight of people constantly coming and going gives a sense of extreme prosperity.

In the distance, containers waiting to be loaded are stacked like mountains, creating an atmosphere of grandeur at first glance.

At this moment, Lu Yu and Wen Ya arrived at Dagang Pier. Looking at the ships and mountainous containers around them, they couldn’t help but marvel at the vastness and prosperity of the maritime industry.

”Sister Demon, where is the loading and unloading company we’re looking for?”

Gazing at the exceedingly prosperous Dagang Pier, Lu Yu asked, his words filled with curiosity.

”Right over there”

Upon hearing Lu Yu’s words, Wen Ya slowly raised her hand and pointed to a building not far away, speaking, ”That’s the largest loading and unloading company here, and also Victory Group’s new partner!”

In the past, Victory Group’s business transactions were handled by partners. Now, cooperating with Newman Group, Victory Group needs to handle loading and unloading on its own, so not long ago, Victory Group signed a cargo handling contract with this company.

Upon hearing this, Lu Yu followed Wen Ya’s slender finger and saw a substantial building standing nearby. The building had the words: Da Gang Loading and Unloading Company!

Da Gang Loading and Unloading Company?

Upon seeing this, Lu Yu felt a stirring within his heart, a hint of depth flashing in his eyes. He then spoke to Wen Ya, ”In that case, let’s go in and have a look.”

”Okay”

Hearing this, Wen Ya nodded her head, then looked at Lu Yu and said, ”We might as well have a conversation with their boss.”

With that, Lu Yu also nodded, and the two of them slowly stepped towards the building of Da Gang Loading and Unloading Company.

...

A few minutes later, Lu Yu and Wen Ya arrived at the management level of Da Gang Loading and Unloading Company’s building.

At this moment, in a bright and clean office, some staff members were working. Upon seeing Lu Yu and Wen Ya enter, they asked, ”Hello, who are you here to see?”

”Hello, we’re from Victory Group, and we’d like to speak with your boss!”

Upon hearing the staff member’s words, Wen Ya responded quite formally, exuding the authoritative aura of a director.

”I see, please follow me”

Upon hearing Lu Yu’s words, the staff member instantly gestured for Wen Ya and Lu Yu to follow, then slowly led them toward the boss’s office.

Inside the boss’s office, a well-built man was sitting in front of a large desk. On seeing Lu Yu and Wen Ya, he said, ”You two must be from Victory Group, right?”

In his words, the man spoke with a deep tone and his eyes darted around, giving an impression of cunning and menace.

This man was the boss of Da Gang Loading and Unloading Company, Ma Mingsheng.

”That’s right”

Upon hearing this, Wen Ya spoke, ”We’ve come over this time to discuss the matter of your company’s temporary ten percent price increase and demand an explanation from your company.”

”So that’s it”

Upon hearing Wen Ya’s words, Ma Mingsheng smiled and said, ”What’s wrong with temporarily increasing the price by ten percent?”

In his speech, Ma Mingsheng spoke so plainly, yet there was a hint of roguery in his words.

”Of course there’s a problem!”

Upon hearing this, Wen Ya’s voice became unusually stern. She looked at Ma Mingsheng and said, ”We have a loading and unloading contract with your company. Such a temporary price increase is a serious breach of contract!”

”Breach of contract?”

Upon hearing this, Ma Mingsheng’s voice carried a trace of disdain.

At this moment, he looked at Wen Ya and said, ”Miss, unloading cargo is labor-intensive work, and your Victory Group’s cargo this time is both urgent and large in volume. Is it not justified for us to earn some extra income?”

”Extra income?”

Upon hearing Ma Mingsheng’s words, Wen Ya felt rather surprised. She never expected that Ma Mingsheng would make such a demand at this moment!

”That’s correct”

Upon hearing Wen Ya’s words, Ma Mingsheng sneered and said, ”It’s well known that your Victory Group recently seized the cooperation opportunity with Newman Group. If I’m not mistaken, this batch must be cargo from Newman Group, right?”

”So what if it is?”

Upon hearing Ma Mingsheng’s words, Wen Ya said, ”Just because we’re partnering with Newman Group, you think you can increase the price by ten percent?”

”That’s right!”

Upon hearing Wen Ya’s words, Ma Mingsheng chuckled and said, ”With your collaboration with Newman Group, you’re bound to earn a substantial profit. In that case, I reckon asking for an extra ten percent isn’t asking too much, is it?!”

”We’re earning our own money. Why should we give you a bigger cut?”

At this moment, Wen Ya’s words carried a hint of solemnity: ”Moreover, our company has a loading and unloading contract with yours. We absolutely cannot agree to this temporary price increase!”

”If your company disagrees, then I’m afraid I won’t be able to unload the cargo”

Upon hearing Wen Ya’s words, Ma Mingsheng smiled and said, ”And you need to think it over. With such a large volume of cargo, your demurrage period is seven days. After seven days, your cargo placed here will incur charges, and over time, the cost will far exceed the ten percent I’m asking for!”

It’s obvious now that Ma Mingsheng is brazenly extorting!

”You!”

Upon hearing Ma Mingsheng’s words, Wen Ya exclaimed, her voice full of anger. She never expected Ma Mingsheng to be so shameless!

Thinking about this, Wen Ya wanted to say something more.

However, at this moment, Lu Yu’s hand gently rested on her shoulder. He then turned his gaze to Ma Mingsheng and said, ”So, Boss Ma, if we don’t pay, you’re not planning on unloading our cargo, is that right?”

”That’s right!”

Upon hearing Lu Yu’s words, Ma Mingsheng said, ”Not only will we not unload, but no one at the entire Dagang Pier will help you unload, because here, I am the biggest!”

In his words, Ma Mingsheng coldly stated, speaking with an icy threat.

”I see,”

Upon hearing this, Lu Yu’s eyes gleamed with a chilling light. He coldly smiled and looked at Ma Mingsheng, saying, ”Are you sure you want to do this?”

In this sentence, Lu Yu’s eyes gleamed with cold light, exuding a sense of ominousness.
