Urban Supreme Evil Young Master

A glass of Godfather downed, Lu Yu’s previously gloomy mood gradually cleared up. Besides alcohol, a woman who understands him can also comfort a man’s soul, and now both are present, Lu Yu’s dark thoughts are slowly calming down.

It was just past eleven at night, and the bar’s business was officially peaking. Fashionably dressed young people were coming in one after another, transforming the previously subdued atmosphere into something lively. The sounds of men and women drinking and joking surrounded them as real nightlife began.

”Sister Demon, your business here is really booming.”

Looking at the increasingly lively atmosphere around him, Lu Yu spoke with a smile, ”With business this hot, don’t you plan to expand?”

At the moment, Wen Ya’s bar was completely packed; both the booths and the bar were filled with young people drinking. The business was indeed far more bustling than a typical bar.

”Of course, I want to expand.”

Upon hearing Lu Yu’s comment, Wen Ya gave a slight smile and then replied, ”But the conditions don’t allow it.”

Her words carried a hint of helplessness.

”Conditions don’t allow it?”

Lu Yu was surprised at Wen Ya’s response, ”Is it a financial issue?”

”No.”

Wen Ya shook her head gently and then explained, ”Ever since you sorted out things for the Wen Family, being the sole daughter, the family assets were automatically transferred to me. So finances are not a problem for me now.”

Since Lu Yu had gone to Lanling City to resolve the Wen Family’s affairs, the legal procedures transferred the family’s assets under Wen Ya’s name. Now, Wen Ya is quite wealthy and doesn’t need to worry about financial matters.

”Then what’s the reason?”

Hearing this, Lu Yu instinctively asked, his speech laden with curiosity.

Under normal circumstances, financing is the primary issue for a bar looking to expand. But since finances are not a problem for Wen Ya, why does she say that conditions don’t allow expansion?

Upon hearing Lu Yu’s question, Wen Ya seemed to be reminded of something and was just about to speak when suddenly the bar’s door was pushed open, and a man in a suit walked in.

”Speak of the devil.”

Seeing this man enter, Wen Ya shook her head helplessly and pointed to the man, saying, ”There’s the reason.”

”The reason?”

Lu Yu heard this and narrowed his eyes slightly as he surveyed the man.

The man was quite corpulent, dressed in a high-end suit, and his greasy, fleshy face was flushed, indicating he’d already been drinking before arriving.

”That’s right.”

Wen Ya nodded at Lu Yu’s question and said, ”This is Song Kai, Vice Director of the Bureau of Industry and Commerce. I’ve submitted several applications for bar expansion, but every one was inexplicably rejected by Vice Director Song. So I’ve given up on expanding.”

Wen Ya’s tone was heavy, showing a trace of helplessness.

As the bar expansion needed to go through procedures at the Bureau of Industry and Commerce, as long as Song Kai didn’t approve, expanding the business would be impossible.

”I see.”

Lu Yu commented, his eyes narrowing deeply as he glanced at Song Kai.

”Enough talk about him.”

Seeing Lu Yu’s gaze, Wen Ya smiled and said, her words full of amusement.

Lu Yu was about to say something in response to Wen Ya’s words when Song Kai took a bottle of Red Label and sat down in front of Wen Ya. He placed the bottle on the table and said, ”Oh, isn’t this Boss Wen? Your business is indeed booming!”

Song Kai’s words carried a hint of teasing, and his eyes were roaming up and down Wen Ya’s shapely body, frequently glancing at her beautiful legs beneath her qipao.

”So it’s Vice Director Song.”

Wen Ya responded indifferently to Song Kai, her words nonchalant, not showing any reverence to the so-called Vice Director.

Hearing Wen Ya’s reply, Song Kai looked at her with lecherous eyes and said, ”Doesn’t Boss Wen want to expand the bar? Expanding would see your profits multiply several times over!”

Song Kai’s words had a playful tone, seemingly guiding something intentionally or unintentionally.

”I do want to expand the bar.”

Wen Ya replied casually to Song Kai, ”But I’ve submitted seven applications, all rejected by you, Vice Director Song, leaving me with no options.”

Wen Ya’s tone showed a trace of annoyance; clearly, she no longer wanted to entangle with Song Kai.

”These issues are something people can change.”

Song Kai laughed at her words, ”As long as you agree to my terms, not only will I help you expand, but I’ll assist with many other things as well.”

With that, Song Kai reached his fleshy hand towards Wen Ya’s slender and fair hand.

”Director Song, this is my friend’s bar. Please behave yourself!”

At that moment when Song Kai stretched his hand toward Wen Ya, Lu Yu raised his hand, grabbing Song Kai’s wrist, and spoke plainly.

His gaze fiercely locked on Song Kai, filled with an intimidating threat!

”Who are you?!”

Song Kai’s gaze turned to Lu Yu, seated beside Wen Ya, coldly questioning him, full of impatience.

”He’s my boyfriend.”

Wen Ya hugged Lu Yu’s arm, looking at Song Kai while speaking, her tone low and playful, her eyes showing a hint of disdain, ”Vice Director Song, the demands you made can be discussed with my boyfriend. See if he agrees.”

Upon hearing this, Song Kai’s expression shifted drastically, casting alternating glances at Wen Ya and Lu Yu, his face becoming notably gloomy.

The requests he made to Wen Ya were entirely inappropriate, and being stared down by Lu Yu, he dared not voice his intentions.

”If that’s the case, then I’ll make my leave. Once Boss Wen is available, we can discuss this matter further!”

A cold remark from Song Kai as he huffed, rising and preparing to leave.

However, just when Song Kai was about to leave, Lu Yu’s voice suddenly echoed, ”Did I say you could leave?”
