Urban Supreme Evil Young Master

Watching Wenxuan being dragged away, Lu Yu glanced at the surrounding employees from the marketing department who were watching the scene. He smiled slightly and said, ”Alright, it’s over. Everyone can disperse now!”

As soon as these words were spoken, all the marketing department employees nodded and then returned to their posts, resuming their work.

Seeing this result, Lu Yu smiled slightly and then approached Wen Ya, saying, ”Alright, Sister Demon, it’s all fine now.”

Hearing this, Wen Ya nodded, her beautiful eyes looking at Lu Yu ahead, and she said, ”Lu Yu, thank you.”

In her words, there was a hint of low emotion, completely different from her usual mature and charming demeanor.

Now, Wen Ya seemed worried, like a little woman in trouble.

Seeing Wen Ya like this, Lu Yu seemed to realize something. He looked at Wen Ya in front of him and said, ”Alright, I see you’re not in a state to continue working. How about we go to your bar for a drink?”

Although Lu Yu didn’t know exactly what had happened, from Wenxuan’s words earlier, he could still guess a bit of information.

Wen Ya in front of him likely had this mood because of something back home in Lanling City.

This is often when a woman feels the most helpless, which is exactly why Lu Yu made this invitation, to first let Wen Ya calm down and then understand what happened.

Upon hearing Lu Yu’s words, Wen Ya was slightly stunned, then nodded in agreement.

Seeing Wen Ya agree, Lu Yu did not hesitate. He directly took Wen Ya’s hand, and the two walked into the elevator together, went to the parking lot, and drove straight to the small bar owned by Wen Ya.

...

A moment later, inside Wen Ya’s Ovis Bar.

Since it was now morning, there were no customers in the bar. Lu Yu and Wen Ya sat at the bar counter, each holding a Bloody Mary. Under the sunlight, the crimson drink appeared bewitching and gave a strange feeling.

At this moment, Lu Yu took a sip of the Bloody Mary, feeling a slight bitterness in his mouth. Then he shook his head and said, ”Tell me, what exactly happened just now?”

In his words, Lu Yu’s previous playfulness and calmness towards Wen Ya disappeared, replaced by depth and maturity, giving a sense of inner stability.

Hearing Lu Yu’s words, Wen Ya’s beautiful eyes flickered twice, then she picked up her glass, drank some of the crimson liquid, pondered for a moment, and said, ”That was Wenxuan just now, he’s my half-brother.”

Upon hearing this, Lu Yu’s heart was slightly moved, but he said nothing. He had already heard this news from Wenxuan earlier, and what Lu Yu wanted to know now was what exactly had happened.

Why did Wenxuan forcibly take Wen Ya away, and why was Wen Ya wearing this expression?

Saying this, Wen Ya gave a bitter smile, then she said, ”Do you remember what I told you before? I’m from Lanling City.”

”Of course, I remember.”

Upon hearing Wen Ya’s words, Lu Yu said calmly. His words were full of tranquility and depth, sounding exceptionally steady, unlike a young man in his twenties. Instead, he seemed like someone seasoned by life’s storms, providing a sense of stability from deep within.

Hearing Lu Yu’s words, Wen Ya smiled slightly, then said, ”There is a Wen Family in Lanling City, considered quite wealthy locally, and I am regarded as the eldest daughter of that family...”

”Regarded as the eldest daughter of that family?”

Upon hearing this, Lu Yu’s heart was slightly stunned, his words full of doubt.

The eldest daughter, as the term implies, is usually set at birth as the family’s top-ranking daughter. It’s either a yes or no, and the term ”regarded as” used by Wen Ya made Lu Yu wonder what she meant.

”Yes.”

Hearing Lu Yu’s puzzled voice, Wen Ya said plainly. Her words seemed to recall some bad memories. After taking another sip of her drink, she continued, ”Before being driven out of the Wen Family, I was indeed the Wen Family’s eldest daughter, but now, I probably don’t hold that identity anymore.”

Saying this, Wen Ya drank the entire glass of wine, her beautiful eyes showing a hint of wistfulness: ”The Wen Family is a very traditional family, valuing males over females. When my mother gave birth to me, she lost the ability to have more children. But the head of the Wen Family, my grandfather, was intent on my father having a boy to carry on the family lineage...”

In her words, Wen Ya’s voice grew even more somber, and Lu Yu’s gaze shifted slightly. At this point, he seemed to understand why Wen Ya had a half-brother.

”Because my mother gave birth to me, a girl, from childhood, both she and I faced endless scorn and ridicule from the Wen Family.”

In her words, Wen Ya poured herself another drink and, after downing it in one shot, continued, ”And on the night of my eighth birthday, twenty years ago, the patriarch of the Wen Family, my grandfather Wen Xiu Jie, invited a so-called master to read my fortune.”

Saying this, Wen Ya’s eyes revealed a hint of bitterness.

”I still remember the master’s look of surprise when he saw me and my mother, then uttering four words that I will never forget!”

”Jinx! Ruin family!”

Saying this, Wen Ya’s voice trembled, a flash of pain crossing her beautiful face, with a hint of tears glistening in her eyes: ”Because of those four words, not long after, Wen Xiu Jie used them as an excuse to expel us from the Wen Family. Then, under the guise of bringing good luck, he had my father marry a second wife, which eventually led to my having a half-brother.”

Hearing this, Lu Yu’s heart felt moved, as if something within him was touched. Then he gently held Wen Ya, whose body was trembling continually, saying, ”It’s alright. Everything will pass, everything will pass...”

While comforting Wen Ya, who trembled in his arms, Lu Yu felt extremely shocked. Only now did he understand that beneath Wen Ya’s beautiful and enchanting appearance lay such undisclosed heartache.

”No, none of this will ever pass.”

When Wen Ya heard Lu Yu’s words, she lifted her head. Her beautiful eyes glistened with tears as she said, ”Do you know why my half-brother came here to find me this time?”
