Urban Supreme Evil Young Master

The next morning, at the LA City People’s Hospital.

Lu Yu was lying on the hospital bed with a look of helplessness, speaking to the attending doctor beside him: ”Doctor, I’m really fine. Haven’t you all examined me already? All my body’s functions are intact, why can’t I be discharged yet!?”

From last night to now, Lu Yu’s body had been thoroughly examined three times by the diligent doctors at the LA City People’s Hospital. Each time, all his bodily functions were perfectly intact, but even so, they still wouldn’t allow Lu Yu to be discharged.

”Sir, last night’s car accident was really quite severe. As the victim of the accident, we have the responsibility and duty to ensure your health, so you just need to stay for observation for twenty-four hours, and then you can be discharged.”

Upon hearing Lu Yu’s words, the attending doctor spoke with a gentle tone, appearing quite responsible in his manner of speech.

”But I’ve already been checked three times and everything’s fine. I know you’re worried about something unexpected happening to me, but aren’t I healthy right now?”

Hearing the doctor’s words, Lu Yu was also helpless. If he had known it would turn out like this, he definitely wouldn’t have pretended to faint but would have chosen to leave directly.

”Sir, I’m sorry, but this is for your safety, so please cooperate with us.”

Hearing Lu Yu’s words, the attending doctor smiled and replied.

Just as Lu Yu was about to say something, a familiar voice suddenly resonated: ”Just lie there quietly and don’t move. I’ve already spoken to all the doctors and nurses here. You have to stay for observation for twenty-four hours before you can be discharged!”

Upon hearing the voice, Lu Yu looked up sharply to see Leng Qingqiu standing at the door of the ward, dressed in a light blue suit, eyeing him with amusement.

”Wife, why are you here?”

Hearing Leng Qingqiu’s voice, Lu Yu appeared quite surprised at the moment.

”I heard you were in a car accident, so I came to see you.”

As she spoke, Leng Qingqiu came right up to Lu Yu’s side, then said, ”I’m also curious. You said something to me just yesterday morning, and now you’ve been in a car accident. Is there some connection between the two?”

Leng Qingqiu had always felt that Lu Yu had changed dramatically, almost as if reborn. Especially after he told her something yesterday, the immediate occurrence of a major car accident seemed very strange to her.

”Wife, your imagination has really gone beyond the edge of the sky.”

Hearing Leng Qingqiu’s words, Lu Yu shook his head helplessly, then said, ”I get into a car accident, and you can imagine so many things. I think you’re not suited to be a CEO, but rather a novelist.”

”I was just curious.”

Hearing Lu Yu’s words, Leng Qingqiu smiled slightly, then said, ”Such a severe accident, your car was smashed into pieces, the opposing driver died on the spot, and even the body was burned to ashes, yet you are unharmed. Doesn’t all this sound unbelievable to you?”

”Can’t I just be lucky?”

Hearing Leng Qingqiu’s words, Lu Yu rolled his eyes, then retorted, ”Do I have to die on the spot for it to make sense?”

”Uh...”

Hearing Lu Yu’s argument, Leng Qingqiu suddenly found herself speechless. After all, accidents are unpredictable, and though she felt Lu Yu was hiding many things from her, linking the accident to those things seemed a bit far-fetched.

”Alright then.”

Thinking of this, Leng Qingqiu shook her head, then said, ”Maybe I’m overthinking it, but Lu Yu, you need to know, some things can’t be hidden. Even if you hide it for a while, you can’t hide it forever.”

With these words, Leng Qingqiu slowly turned around, then said, ”Actually, I came today just to see you. Since you’re fine, I’m reassured. I’ll head to the office now; remember to be at work on time tomorrow.”

With that, Leng Qingqiu turned and left Lu Yu’s hospital room.

”A woman’s intuition is frightening indeed.”

Watching Leng Qingqiu as she turned and left, Lu Yu thought to himself, a trace of helplessness flashing across his mind.

Thinking of this, Lu Yu shook his head, about to sleep to pass the time, when suddenly a nurse’s voice came from outside: ”Sir, this is the patient’s rest area, you can’t just barge in like this!”

Upon hearing the voice, Lu Yu turned his head to see Luo Lie, dressed in a business suit, striding in while a nurse tried to stop him.

Perhaps irritated by the nurse’s interruption, Luo Lie took out his credentials and said, ”I’m on a case. If you keep obstructing me, I have the authority to arrest you immediately!”

The nurse, seeing Luo Lie’s credentials, was momentarily stunned, then let him go and retreated out of the room.

Witnessing this scene, Lu Yu showed a slight smile and said, ”So now you Shadow Sword members scare little nurses with credentials?”

Pausing slightly, Lu Yu continued, ”Well, tell me, what are you here for this time?”

While his words were casual, Lu Yu’s tone revealed a touch of coldness. He had always disliked official organizations, and seeing Luo Lie, a member of Shadow Sword, at his door once more, was slightly displeasing to him.

Hearing Lu Yu’s words, Luo Lie’s heart hesitated for a moment, then he took out his phone, operated it a bit, and the conversation content between Jin Huanzhong from yesterday played from the phone!

Upon hearing the recording, a slight coldness flashed through Lu Yu’s previously calm eyes. He curled his lips slightly and said, ”Jin Huanzhong brought forty disciples to deal with me? Quite a significant move. It seems the Jin Family is really going all out this time!”

”Jin Huanzhong has been a henchman for the Jin Family for thirty years, with incredibly fierce skills, and this time he’s brought those forty disciples. You’re in great danger now!”

Luo Lie said coldly: ”If you’d like, I can arrange for the armed police in LA City to protect you...”

”No need!”

Before Luo Lie could finish, Lu Yu interrupted firmly, speaking with no hesitation! For the past five years due to special experiences, Lu Yu had developed a strong aversion to working with official entities, so he directly rejected Luo Lie’s proposal.
