Everyone clicked their tongues in mild disbelief. They already knew this world was outrageous, but they hadn’t expected even the mods here to be so ridiculously overpowered.

This wasn’t just about giving a boost to people from Teyvat—an ordinary person, armed with a master-level staff and the right accessories, could instantly become top-tier combat power.

”Ryen, I remember that Skeleton Druid used his staff to cast five different spells, and you also said that spells need to be combined, right?”

Lisa asked with a serious tone—but her hands were sneakily trying to keep the Thunderous Staff for herself.

Ryen rolled his eyes, grabbed the staff with one hand, and snatched it back.

”Stop thinking about taking my staff! There are plenty of Druids—just kill a few more later!”

Lisa pouted, her voice filled with grievance.

”Will killing a few more drop another Thunderous Staff?”

”What are you thinking!”

Ryen chuckled.

”This is a master-level staff, and it’s been enhanced twice. Having even one is already incredibly lucky.”

”But apprentice-level and advanced-level staves—you should be able to get those.”

Hearing this, Lisa’s gaze grew even more resentful.

Ryen sighed helplessly and spoke softly:

”How about I lend you the Vampiric Staff to play with?”

After all, now that he had this staff, he wouldn’t be using the Vampiric Staff much anymore. A staff that could only drain life—what kind of divine weapon was that supposed to be?

Lisa, however, averted her gaze.

”No thanks. I have no interest in something so sinister.”

On the side, Tartaglia perked up.

”Lend it to me then, Mr. Ryen! I don’t mind if the Vampiric Staff is evil!”

”In your dreams!”

Ryen shot him a glare and went on:

”A staff can hold five fixed spells, and there aren’t really any attribute restrictions.”

”For example, my Thunderous Staff—even though it’s a lightning-element master-level staff—it still has the fire-element Explosive Fireball equipped.”

”What spells you put on your staff is completely up to you, but remember—only master-level staves can equip all spells without restrictions.”

”An apprentice-level staff can only equip apprentice-tier and below spells, and the same goes for advanced-level staves.”

”Of course, a staff doesn’t start out as master-level. You need to keep using spells to raise your proficiency.”

”In the end, you’ll use the Arcane Codex to catalyze the upgrade.”

Hearing this, Lisa’s expression softened.

”So even if I only have a novice staff, I can still upgrade it to master-level?”

”That’s exactly how you get a master-level staff.”

Ryen spread his hands—but just as Lisa’s face began to brighten, he poured cold water over her excitement.

”However, the Twilight Forest Witchcraft Expansion Pack alone doesn’t have the Arcane Codex. Only the full Witchcraft mod set lets you craft staves—or the Arcane Codex.”

”…”

Lisa deflated again and glared at Ryen in frustration.

”So in the end, I still can’t have it!”

Ryen gave an awkward laugh and said softly:

”Who can say for sure? You might kill a Druid and get a staff—or maybe you’ll find an Arcane Codex in a Twilight Forest chest.”

”In short, right now the only way to get a staff is by killing a Skeleton Druid.”

”But… killing a Skeleton Druid does come with risks.”

”Just like the one we encountered today.”

Ryen paused, then said quietly:

”Necromancy, fire magic, lightning magic, protective magic, plus summoning spells.”

”Practically flawless—if you go one-on-one, you’ll easily get crushed.”

”Of course, when we head into the Twilight Forest, we won’t be fighting alone. So, sooner or later, we’ll actively hunt down a Skeleton Druid and take his staff.”

”Let’s just wait for the right moment.”

Hearing this, everyone finally relaxed a little.

The buffs a staff gave were too important—nobody could resist wanting one.

Just look at Lisa—usually indifferent to most things, but the moment she got the Thunderous staff, she completely changed.

Clearly, she had already realized the immense power it brought.

Even setting everything else aside—just the ability to combine spells freely meant that, in Teyvat, anyone could trigger elemental reactions in seconds.

With that thought, everyone’s anticipation for killing a Skeleton Druid soared to unprecedented levels.

”You just said… necromancy.”

Zhongli spoke softly, his brow slightly furrowed.

”What attributes do these spells have?”

Ryen snapped his fingers.

”That’s the important part—staff spells need to be combined. Theoretically, one person can carry a lot of staves.”

”So, they can also have a lot of different spells. Learning how to combine them well is what makes a competent wizard.”

”In general, spells fall into four types: combat, effect, utility, and summoning.”

”You’ve already seen combat and summoning spells, so I won’t dwell on those. Effect spells are more complex—they can have all sorts of strange and wonderful uses.”

”As for utility spells—they’re meant to make a wizard’s life easier. For example, Glow Worms to light up an area, or Disintegrate to destroy any block.”

”In witchcraft, there are no weak spells—only wizards who can’t combine them properly.”

Everyone nodded thoughtfully.

Combat spells might seem the most impressive visually, but when you think about it, the clever use of these other spells could be just as powerful in real situations.

”You should also pay attention to effect spells,” Ryen went on.

”In the base Witchcraft mod, there are 188 spells total—but the Twilight Forest expansion pack only has 33.”

”There are five effect spells: Charm of Life, Mist Cloak, Heart of Ironwood, Lich Barrier, and Hydra Vitality.”

”You’ve already seen Lich Barrier, so I won’t explain much—just remember it’s an advanced spell.”

”Charm of Life is also advanced—it instantly restores a large amount of health to a target, then grants continuous healing for ten seconds, similar to an alchemy potion…”

”But stronger.”

”If you wear the Golden Heart Pendant accessory, it will instantly heal you to full health and grant a long-lasting resistance buff.”

”Mist Cloak—that’s an apprentice-level invisibility spell.”
