Genshin x Minecraft: Building the Temple of Virtue

While Yixiao was still dazed and unsure of what to do, Tongque had finally been revived.

Even though they had already gone through one revival before, seeing another familiar friend come back to life still brought joy to the immortals.

Unlike Yixiao, Tongque wasn’t completely unfamiliar with present-day Liyue. Compared to Yixiao’s situation, Tongque’s mind still retained part of its independent thought.

Back when he was only a lingering consciousness, his movement was heavily restricted — at most, he could wander around his own dilapidated temple.

But at least, he had witnessed some of Liyue’s recent changes.

Many of the newly strengthened Millelith had thundered past the area where he resided.

A few days ago, when Osial attacked, he had felt it too — though he had no idea how Liyue managed to defeat the sea monster so quickly.

Just last night, Xiao had gone to see him, and the two had talked a lot. Because of that, Tongque now seemed to accept his situation far more easily… although he was still somewhat shocked by his resurrection.

Tongque’s combat strength was nothing exceptional, but Ningguang and the others weren’t shallow or petty.

Any resurrected adeptus was part of Liyue’s deep foundation.

At the very least, the more adepti revived, the stronger the force stationed in this world’s Liyue would become.

With more and more mods appearing in this world, there was no telling when an even stronger and more dangerous mod might show up.

Just like this trip to the Twilight Forest — the gains were substantial, but the danger far exceeded that of the Nether or the End.

It would be unthinkable for the Millelith to recklessly charge in early to develop it. With their current strength, they might not be wiped out, but they would certainly suffer heavy losses.

This type of mod — leaning toward individual combat scenarios — was best tackled by several powerful, battle-hardened fighters.

The adepti were an excellent choice.

After reviving the adeptus, there was still time left in the day.

So the group decided to remain in this world for now.

Since Yixiao and Tongque would mostly be living in the Minecraft world from now on, they naturally had to quickly familiarize themselves with everything here.

Ningguang and the others didn’t go so far as to teach the adepti how to build things like mob farms.

With the Millelith and miners around, such technology could be set up anytime.

All that mattered was letting the adepti understand the uniqueness of this world, and remember its strange rules.

As for the rest — with time and practice, they would eventually understand it all.

Yixiao and Tongque clearly hadn’t expected this world to be so absurd, and for a moment, they didn’t even know what to say.

Even Beidou and Ayaka, who had only just arrived today, occasionally wore blank, shocked expressions.

They had chatted for most of the day. Considering that they had arrived after noon and had also gone to hunt down four Wither Storms in the afternoon, by the time Yixiao and the others barely managed to accept the strangeness of this world, it was already evening.

The square-shaped sun was sinking toward the horizon, about to disappear beyond it.

Too much had happened today; even now, everyone still felt a bit dazed.

Of course, it was mainly the adepti.

”Wither Storm…” Yixiao murmured thoughtfully, pursing his lips.

”Was it because of the loot from the Wither Storm… that I was revived?”

Moon Carver, standing nearby, curled his lip.

”You’ve already asked that seventy-four times. Enough already.”

Yixiao fell silent for a moment, then spoke softly:

”So… the other departed adepti will be revived too, right?”

”That’s right. Not just the adepti—Guizhong will be revived as well!” Cloud Retainer nodded firmly, her face serious.

”Is there anything I can help with?” Yixiao looked at Zhongli with some anticipation.

Zhongli replied calmly,

”There is no need to rush this matter. The wither skeleton skulls required to summon the Wither Storm are not so easily obtained.

”Furthermore, to resurrect an adeptus, we must first bring that individual’s soul fragment or consciousness fragment into this world.

”We still need to search for traces of our old friends’ existence.

”But in any case, we now have a chance. The rest is simply a matter of time.

”If all goes smoothly, reviving all of our old friends will take only one or two years.

”For us, waiting one or two years makes little difference.”

After all, for immortals, a year or two might not pass in the blink of an eye, but it wasn’t far off.

Ryen, standing to the side, also smiled and said:

”In the next few days, we’re planning to explore the Twilight Forest. If you two can get familiar with this world, you can come with us.

”If not, then head back to Teyvat first and search for soul fragments of the other adepti.

”By the time we return, we should have enough soul points saved up for another round of revivals.”

Yixiao and Tongque exchanged a glance and nodded in agreement.

”Alright, let’s get to the main topic.” Ryen stretched lazily and said in a relaxed tone:

”First—this afternoon we got three more Nether Stars. Do you plan to turn them directly into beacons, or keep making Totems of Resurrection?”

He looked toward Ningguang as he spoke.

After all, the wither skeleton skulls had been obtained by the Millelith, so Liyue had the right to decide how to use them.

Ningguang clearly had a plan already. She said softly,

”We won’t make beacons for now, but next time we can craft a Totem of Resurrection.

”I’m preparing to build a second floating platform to mount the Orbital Dragon-Slaying Cannon.

”For now, the buffs from the beacon are enough for the Jade Chamber, and if we need more, we can place them anytime.

”With a Totem of Resurrection, we’ll have a much greater margin for error in the future.”

Ryen nodded casually.

”They’re your resources, so it’s your decision. Totems of Resurrection are indeed stronger than Totems of Undying, but if everyone carries a Totems of Undying, our safety isn’t exactly low either.

”Second thing… I’m going to start building the Twilight Forest portal.”

At that, everyone’s spirits lifted.

They all understood the power of the Twilight Forest. Even leaving aside the four artifact-level scepters, weapons like the Fiery Iron Sword and the Ice Sword were formidable—and they could be mass-produced and equipped to the army.

For a nation, compared to unique, invincible scepters that boost a single person, these mass-producible weapons were the real treasures.

Not to mention… there were also strange things like the Tree of Time.
