Genshin x Minecraft: Building the Temple of Virtue

”What plans does Immortal Yixiao have for the future?” Ningguang asked after some thought, curiously looking at him.

He thought for a moment and then shook his head.

”The world has changed too much. I no longer understand the Liyue of today, nor do I wish to interfere. Since the Geo Lord himself chose to step down, I’ll do as before—retreat into seclusion with my old friends.”

”Back then, I used to imagine that after the Archon War ended, we could all return to Jueyun Karst and enjoy peaceful gatherings. Wouldn’t that be wonderful?”

At the mention of Jueyun Karst, Cloud Retainer proudly lifted her head and pointed toward the back mountain not far away.

”Look over there! That’s the Jueyun Karst I personally carved in this world by hand. I even sculpted statues commemorating you all.”

Yixiao focused his gaze, and sure enough, he saw himself.

But then he scoffed with clear disdain:

”You didn’t capture this immortal’s grandeur at all—especially the horns. Why aren’t they made of jade?”

Cloud Retainer’s expression froze. After a long pause, she let out a huff of irritation and refused to acknowledge him further.

The others—Ningguang included—could also tell that this Immortal Yixiao had a bit of a sharp tongue.

Suppressing a smile, Ningguang gently said,

”Right now, we’re all focusing on developing Ryen’s world. The Archons and Adepti are stationed here long-term. Immortal Yixiao, why don’t you stay as well?”

”Can I?” Yixiao looked at Ryen with surprise.

”To be honest, I find this mysterious world quite fascinating. If I could stay here, that would be wonderful.”

Ryen shrugged.

”Sure. We could use more powerful warriors anyway.”

At that, a thought struck Ningguang, and she softly asked:

”Pardon my boldness, but Immortal Yixiao, what exactly is your level of strength? Most of Liyue’s ancient texts only offer vague descriptions.”

”It’s fine...”

Yixiao waved a hand, pondering for a moment.

”Truth be told, even I don’t fully know… But I could definitely hold off the demon god that once attacked Mt. Tianheng for quite a while.”

Xiao, who had remained silent all this time, finally spoke:

”Immortal Yixiao is extremely powerful. Back then, he was unanimously regarded by all Adepti as the strongest beneath the demon gods.”

”Even against a demon god, as long as it wasn’t a mid-tier one or higher, Immortal Yixiao could still hold his ground.”

Upon hearing this, the group was stunned.

Only now did they realize—thanks to Xiao’s statement—that this somewhat snarky, contradictory Immortal Yixiao was, in fact, a being of genuine demon-god-level power.

He might still lose in a real fight against one due to the difference in life tier, but at the very least, he could go toe-to-toe for a while.

No wonder he was hailed as the number one beneath the demon gods.

If they gave him all sorts of potions, armor, and weapons, perhaps he really could kill a demon god.

Jean and the others exchanged helpless smiles. Despite themselves, they had to admit—it was no wonder Liyue had such deep heritage.

And this was just one revived Yixiao.

Just think about the hundreds of Adepti in Liyue...

The five Yakshas who led the charge were among the strongest, not to mention many other powerful immortals.

On top of that, the Archon of Dust, Guizhong, could also be resurrected.

Perhaps they could even bring back Havria, the Archon of Salt.

That would mean two more Archon-level powers.

Finally, if there was a way to remove the erosion from Azhdaha...

A fully awakened Azhdaha, in his prime, had once been the most powerful being in Liyue after Morax.

As a lifeform born from the earth’s ley lines, his essence wasn’t inferior to that of a god.

Azhdaha was, without a doubt, top-tier Archon-level combat strength.

Back then, to seal Azhdaha, Zhongli had mobilized over a hundred Adepti to hold the formation—it had taken an enormous effort to subdue him.

If all of these forces were added together, Liyue alone could match the number of Archon-level beings across the whole of Teyvat.

Hearing Xiao confirm it firsthand, Ningguang was genuinely pleased.

Although a mortal-led Liyue no longer required the intervention of the Adepti...

When the final confrontation with Celestia came, it wouldn’t be just Liyue that would rise to the occasion.

In the end, everyone would have to stand together, side by side.

The stronger their side was, the higher their chances of victory.

”Alright, there’s still one more Adeptus to revive. We’ll talk about everything else afterward.”

Ryen patted Ningguang’s hand and looked toward Zhongli.

Yixiao blinked in surprise and asked curiously:

”Another one to revive? Wait—does that mean the method you used on me can be used infinitely?”

”Infinitely?”

Ryen chuckled softly.

”Not exactly infinite, but close enough. Anyway, just watch.”

Yixiao didn’t press the issue, nodding and stepping aside.

To be honest, he still didn’t understand how he had been brought back to life.

This would be a good chance to see for himself.

Now that they had the experience of reviving Yixiao once, bringing back Tongque would be much easier.

Zhongli closed his eyes for a moment, and the light on the resurrection totem in his hand finally dimmed completely.

In the end, it reverted to its inactive state.

But no one was paying attention to the totem—they all simply stared quietly at the golden light gathering in front of them.

Yixiao was deeply shaken.

”This... is enough?”

”What, you expected more?” Moon Carver muttered, curling his lip.

”Did you think there needed to be some massive shockwave or a tragic sacrifice?”

For once, Yixiao didn’t argue.

He just looked a bit dazed and lost.

”But... this is still resurrection. It completely defies common sense...”

”Common sense?”

Cloud Retainer chuckled softly beside him and shook her head.

”You really need to understand this first: the very existence of this world already defies common sense.”

”And that’s exactly why everyone’s focus is now on exploring it.”

”A world without visible limits or boundaries—that’s the true starting point for all hope.”
