I, the Destined Villain, Start by Controlling the Saint

The Son of God has noble aspirations, and old friends come to visitXiao Fan shook his head secretly as he watched Xia Huaxuan’s retreating figure; this person was too goal-oriented and only suitable for being used.

Xiao Fan returned to Tai Xuan Holy Land’s location in the Welcoming Peak’s Cave Heaven Blessed Land.

“Saint.”

Outside the main hall, two Disciples guarding the entrance bowed to Xiao Fan when they saw him return.

“No need for formalities,” Xiao Fan said, waving his hand.

He glanced at the Tai Xuan Holy Land’s resting area; only a few Elders and Disciples were there, the others were nowhere to be seen.

The two Disciples seemed to notice his confusion and explained, “Well, they all went to Hundred Flowers Holy Land to wander around and find Dao Companions.”

“Mm,” Xiao Fan nodded.

Humans have seven emotions and six desires; he understood, especially since he actively sought out Jiang Lanzhi to play with.

Among the Holy Lands, Hundred Flowers Holy Land was not considered particularly strong in terms of power.

However, the quality of its female Disciples was significantly higher than other Holy Lands.

This was because, in addition to Aptitude, appearance was also an important factor when Hundred Flowers Holy Land accepted Disciples.

Female Cultivators with unattractive or unremarkable appearances would not be accepted as Disciples by Hundred Flowers Holy Land.

As it is human nature to desire beauty, Xiao Fan did not interfere much.

But why was only one Mahayana Elder left?

Moreover, his condition seemed a bit off; his gaze was fixed on the distance, somewhat lost in thought.

Xiao Fan stepped forward and asked, “Elder, where are the two Elders who came with you?”

This question instantly pulled the Mahayana Elder back from his thoughts; upon seeing Xiao Fan, he quickly said,

“Oh, those two? Those two old fellows both have old flames in Hundred Flowers Holy Land. I reckon they went to explore the mountains and rivers and have a deep exchange with their Dao Companions.”

This sudden train directly ran over Xiao Fan’s face, catching him off guard.

“Saint, you might not know, but our Tai Xuan Holy Land and Hundred Flowers Holy Land actually have a pretty good private relationship. Disciples from both sides often cooperate, and sometimes we even hold Daoist Magic exchange and learning courses, allowing Disciples from both Sects to Cultivate the Dao together.”

“When we were young, because our Cultivation Aptitude was decent and our Comprehension Ability was acceptable, we were selected to study with our counterparts from Hundred Flowers Holy Land.”

“Young people, you know, and the Disciples of Hundred Flowers Holy Land are quite beautiful. Over time, they met, got to know each other, and became Dao Companions.”

As he spoke, the Elder seemed to recall something, and a smile appeared on his lips.

This Elder was a man with a story, indeed.

However, not all relationships are smooth and end without a hitch. The Elder, for some reason, spoke a bit more, recounting his past.

Xiao Fan listened with some fascination. Although he had many Dao Companions, he had never truly experienced the bitterness of love, going straight to the base. He missed out on a process.

Listening to the Elder’s story, roughly speaking, it was as if he had tasted the bitterness of love himself.

Xiao Fan listened intently to the Elder’s love story.

It seemed they were all pretty much the same.

A naive encounter, love at first sight, the passionate heat of falling in love, the gradual cooling of enthusiasm, the beginning of conflicts, various disagreements, silent cold wars, a relationship on the verge of breaking, but then healing after much circling.

The Elder spent half an hour recounting his emotional journey to Xiao Fan: complex, joyful, poignant, and a little painful.

Although there was some idealization in his memories, after listening to the Elder’s words, Xiao Fan felt that while not having to endure the bitterness of love, he did miss out on much of its charm.

“If nothing unexpected happened, I would have become her Dao Companion and journeyed together on the Immortal Dao of longevity.”

“It’s just a pity that fate had other plans.” The Elder suddenly sighed deeply, his gaze fixed on the distant sky, looking somewhat lost.

Damn, the first half was so sweet, and then you suddenly hit me with a twist?

Xiao Fan had a bad feeling.

All the other Elders went to find women, and you’re just here alone, spacing out. Could it be?

As if seeing Xiao Fan’s confusion, the Elder nodded and said,

“Yes, she left me.”

“During an outing to a Secret Realm, a group of evil Cultivators appeared halfway, and she couldn’t escape, perishing in the process.”

As he spoke, the Elder fell silent, as if reminiscing about the past.

Xiao Fan felt his scalp tingle and his chest tighten. I deserve this!

I knew there would be a knife, yet I still chose to listen. I truly brought this unhappiness upon myself.

“Haha, that’s how it is when you get old, Saint. Just take my little story as something to laugh off,” the Elder chuckled, though his tone was not as hearty as his laugh, carrying a hint of sadness.

“Elder, my condolences,” Xiao Fan said.

The first time I heard a Cultivation world love story, and it turned out to be a tragedy. This is too hard for me.

Xiao Fan asked curiously, “Elder, why don’t you consider finding another Dao Companion?”

“I’ve considered it, but some people, once missed, are gone. Even if I find another, I won’t find that same feeling again. I’ve come to terms with it and will simply let fate decide.”

“After all these years, no one has been able to compare to her; no one can replace her.”

Going out and receiving a Three-Revolutions Rejuvenation Pill was supposed to be a happy occasion, but returning to this familiar place brought back memories, making him talk a bit more.

This profound theory of devotion left Xiao Fan speechless. This...

However, he did hold the Elder in higher regard. I, Xiao Fan, officially acknowledge that you are the second most devoted in Tai Xuan Holy Land. As for the first, well, that’s me, Xiao Fan, of course!

Indeed, Tai Xuan Holy Land, if we convert it, is roughly equivalent to one of the five major powers on Earth.

A Mahayana Elder, roughly speaking, is a feudal lord among those five major powers. An Elder of this level, if he were to speak, would surely have countless people sending him women.

They wouldn’t even ask to become Dao Companions; just being a maid would bring benefits.

“Elder, your devotion truly astounds this Disciple,” Xiao Fan said sincerely.

If I can’t be the most devoted, then I’ll be the most promiscuous!

Anyway, I must be the first!

“Never mind, let’s not talk about these unhappy things,” the Elder said with a smile.

Seeing no one around, he quietly said, “Actually, the Grand Elder also has a past, though very few people know about it.”

Xiao Fan was startled upon hearing this. Oh? Does the Grand Elder, that old lecher, have an unknown past?

“Spill the details.”

The Elder began:

“Actually, the Grand Elder is even more tragic than me. He once had a Dao Companion, his first love, I suppose. That woman was extremely kind to the Grand Elder, gentle and sweet. The Grand Elder often accompanied her, inseparable.”

“But unexpectedly, she was actually a demonic spy. She approached the Grand Elder only to seize his root bone. The Grand Elder was completely unprepared and was harmed by her.

The Grand Elder originally had excellent root bone, but that incident damaged his root bone. Otherwise, he might have Ascended to the Immortal Realm a thousand years ago.

After that, the Grand Elder was depressed for a long time, perhaps five hundred years.”

“Actually, the Grand Elder was a very simple person at first. He was the perfect and gentle Senior Brother in everyone’s eyes, with an immortal demeanor, full of righteousness, always smiling, making people feel as if they were bathed in spring breeze.

After a period of depression, although he rallied and Cultivated even harder than before, and often went on missions to slay evil spirits and eliminate demons, the smile on his face gradually diminished, and he was no longer as simple as before, becoming somewhat unrestrained.”

“From a perfect Senior Brother to an unrestrained prodigal, my experience is quite good compared to the Grand Elder’s.”

“You might think the Grand Elder is a bit improper now, but he used to be the Holy Land’s most perfect and flawless Genius Disciple.”

Holy cow! The Grand Elder had such a past?

Xiao Fan expressed his shock. He had thought everyone was born a lecher, but it turned out you were a pure young man before?

This somewhat overturned Xiao Fan’s imagination. A pure young man, after being tormented by love, turned into an old lecher who often invited Female Elders for group Cultivation. It was a complete reversal.

Seeing Xiao Fan’s astonished expression, the Elder was not surprised. He even admired the Grand Elder for being able to recover from the betrayal of his beloved and Cultivate to Mahayana despite his damaged root bone.

He was truly a figure of heavenly talent.

The more Xiao Fan listened, the more alarmed he became. There wasn’t a single simple person in this Tai Xuan Holy Land.

After Xiao Fan returned to Tai Xuan Holy Land’s residence, people from many forces, mostly powerful local ones, arrived upon hearing the news.

They were not comparable to Tai Xuan Holy Land.

These people, who usually had no opportunity to invite Xiao Fan due to the disparity in power, now seized this rare chance to visit him, forge connections, and curry favor.

Many forces even resorted to the tactic of offering women.

During their visits, they introduced their Imperial Dynasty’s princesses, the daughters of Sect Masters, or the esteemed young ladies of aristocratic families to Xiao Fan.

It was a diverse array, almost to the point of bringing back their Imperial Dynasty’s concubines or Sect Master’s Dao Companions.

They claimed that young people should interact more, so they could look out for each other in the future.

As for those women, without mentioning their beauty, they were at least impeccable. However, their intentions were too obvious, almost written on their faces as a transaction.

Xiao Fan, having lived two lives, understood these things best.

The higher the position, the more overt the exchange of interests.

And Xiao Fan handled it perfectly; he was very talkative, but always discussed irrelevant things, the kind you forget immediately after saying them.

As for those women, sorry, not suitable!

Actually, he didn’t need to do much; he was a superior, an object of flattery. As long as he appeared slightly humble and a bit amiable, those people would perceive him as approachable.

So elegant, and not one to abuse his power.

This was the difference in status.

Xia Huaxuan, not long ago, and now the various forces offering women, shared a striking similarity.

He used to stay at home, in the Holy Land, rarely going out, so he didn’t realize it. Just one day out made him realize how attractive his status and position truly were.

Feeling somewhat annoyed, Xiao Fan simply declined visitors under the pretext of going into seclusion for Cultivation.

The Mahayana Elder, observing this, significantly raised his evaluation of Xiao Fan: The Saint possesses noble aspirations and is not fond of beauty.

Such vulgar honey traps could not pique the Saint’s interest in the slightest. If the Saint becomes the Holy Lord in the future, he will definitely be an enlightened ruler.

Thump thump thump...

A knock on the door woke Xiao Fan, who was resting in his room. The confrontation with Jiang Lanzhi had somewhat drained his energy, requiring him to recuperate.

Xiao Fan: “What is it?”

“Saint, there’s a woman at the door who says she has something important to see you about.”

A woman?

She probably couldn’t get in by overt means, so she’s directly sending someone to warm the bed, right?

“I don’t really feel like seeing anyone. Tell her to go back.”

“Saint, but she said she had a deep exchange with you, and recently her Cultivation Technique has become exceptionally proficient. She wishes to discuss it with you in depth again.”

“Oh, right, she also said her surname is Ji.”

Deep exchange? Cultivation Technique? Ji?

A graceful figure vaguely appeared in his mind. Why is she looking for me? To make AI?

(Note: AI, refers to Artificial Intelligence.)
