Global Awakening: I'm the Only One Ready

Seated atop Jade Emperor Peak, Lu Yuan considered the road ahead.

Radiance flowed around him, lending him an extraordinary bearing, as though he could stir the stars overhead.

After comprehending the Celestial Seat laws, his power had undergone a fundamental change. Every movement now carried a depth and subtlety absent before.

Lu Yuan was not satisfied. He wanted to advance further.

However, Lu Yuan had only recently entered the Celestial Seat Immortal Realm. Reaching the Supreme Immortal Realm anytime soon was unrealistic, for he had not accumulated enough at his current realm.

He understood this, but he also knew that without reaching that level, he would lack the strength to confront the coming calamity. From the beginning, Lu Yuan had always prepared for powerful enemies by strengthening himself as much as possible. Only then could he face every danger without hesitation.

Lu Yuan knew the coming calamity would be far more difficult to resolve unless he reached the Supreme Immortal Realm.

His first step was reaching the peak of the Celestial Seat Immortal Realm.

Lu Yuan was confident he could accomplish that much. Although he had only recently entered the realm, he had already accumulated a great deal and possessed strength far beyond others at the same level. The Celestial Emperor’s Ancient Token gave him another advantage, so reaching the peak of the Celestial Seat Immortal Realm should not be difficult.

Lu Yuan hesitated no longer. After drawing a deep breath, he gradually withdrew his aura. Vast power surged within him but remained contained as he circulated it through every part of himself and activated his various techniques.

At the same time, he mobilized the power within the Celestial Emperor’s Ancient Token.

His gold-and-crimson vital qi surged outward.

His aura swept across Jade Emperor Peak as formidable power erupted around him. As time passed, his might continued to rise. Divine light enveloped him, and even the surrounding void began to tremble.

Across Mount Tai, the members of the Celestial Court stared in astonishment.

”Is... is King Lu cultivating? What terrifying power!”

”He’s shaking the stars themselves.”

”Exactly how powerful has King Lu become?”

A murmur swept through the crowd.

They knew Lu Yuan was powerful, but the might before them surpassed anything they had imagined. Would they ever reach such a realm? No, perhaps they would never reach it at all.

Zhu Qingyu, Ice Fairy, Young Celestial Master Chunyang, and the others were equally shaken.

Long ago, they had stood as his peers. Now Lu Yuan had reached heights they could no longer hope to match, and the safety of Earth and the Milky Way Starfield rested upon him.

How much had changed...

”I thought reaching the Immortal Realm was already an impressive achievement, but now I see how far behind we still are.”

”King Lu must be cultivating to prepare for the calamities ahead. We need to work harder too.”

”We can’t let King Lu shoulder everything.”

Watching Lu Yuan cultivate, Zhu Qingyu and the others understood that he was preparing for the coming calamities. They had thought entering the Immortal Realm would allow them to rest for a time, but even King Lu was devoting himself fully to cultivation. How could they afford to slack off?

They said nothing more and returned to their own tasks, silently resolving to become stronger as quickly as possible.

Jiang Ningxian also noticed the disturbance from Lu Yuan’s cultivation, and a smile touched her eyes.

She had always known he would become extraordinarily powerful, though she had never expected it to happen so quickly. After everything they had experienced together, their relationship was no longer what it had once been. A quiet affection had grown between them.

Jiang Ningxian was glad to see Lu Yuan grow stronger.

Rather than disturb him, she turned to the preparations ahead. Establishing the Celestial Court’s presence at Mount Kunlun was the immediate priority and had to be completed quickly.

Lu Yuan knew nothing of their thoughts. All his attention remained fixed on cultivation.

In his mind, the Bodhi Tree shone without ceasing, while the Innate Spirit was wreathed in purple aura.

That aura came from the Celestial Emperor’s Ancient Token and carried a special power. Because of it, he could continue growing stronger while his soul and physique underwent continual refinement.

As time passed, the sensation intensified.

Lu Yuan found himself in the cosmos once more, watching stars turn through the void, flare into existence, and fade away.

Everything appeared with perfect clarity, as though he had watched entire ages pass.

In that moment, he seemed to transcend all things, standing above them as he observed their endless transformations. This was the Celestial Seat.

This insight alone would not carry Lu Yuan into the Supreme Immortal Realm. First, he had to reach the peak of the Celestial Seat Immortal Realm, then use it as a stepping stone to advance further.

For most cultivators, this process took an exceedingly long time. Many exhausted their potential and never reached that height even after a lifetime.

However, Lu Yuan regarded it as only the beginning. The Immortal Realm marked the limit for countless others, but his path extended far beyond it.

With the Celestial Emperor’s Ancient Token supporting him and years of hard-earned gains finally bearing fruit, Lu Yuan felt his cultivation and strength rising faster than before. This was the advantage of his immense potential; once he reached a certain threshold, further advancement came far more easily.

”Ordinary cultivators need hundreds or even thousands of years to reach the peak of the Celestial Seat Immortal Realm. For me, it is merely a question of when I choose to do so!”

His resonant voice carried across the peak, as though he had merely stated an obvious truth.
