Global Awakening: I'm the Only One Ready

Chapter 595. Blessed by Providence, the Celestial Court’s First Immortal

There was no alternative but to fight. Retreating now or attempting anything else would change nothing, and Lu Yuan knew it.

There had long been no room for reconciliation between him and the Eternals or the Ji Clan.

So what if the two Starfield Lords had surpassed the Supreme Immortal Realm after accepting the power of the Extracosmic Heavenly Demons? Lu Yuan would simply become stronger and face them. He remained confident in his ability to do so.

Beside him, Jiang Ningxian saw his expression and felt helpless. ”I’m worried about you. You can’t just say nothing.”

She knew Lu Yuan never panicked, no matter what he faced.

He had likely considered a countermeasure long ago, but that did nothing to ease her concern.

Lu Yuan smiled with absolute confidence. ”Just trust me.”

He could continue growing stronger. Even if that proved insufficient, he could still call upon the power of the Celestial Emperor he carried within him. He would reserve that power for the last resort, but its existence gave him confidence.

For now, he needed to guard against the two factions and the Extracosmic Heavenly Demons. Dwelling on anything else was pointless.

”Fine. As long as you know what you are doing.” Jiang Ningxian sighed and did not continue speaking.

After spending so much time with him, she knew him well enough to understand that further questions would lead nowhere.

The two spoke for a while longer before Jiang Ningxian left Jade Emperor Peak. With Jiang Huanyun gone, the Jiang Clan members on Earth needed her to take charge, and she still had several matters to arrange.

Lu Yuan turned his attention to what he should do next. The enemy had yet to appear.

The power of the Extracosmic Heavenly Demons had spread through the famous mountains and great rivers, making the situation appear grave. In truth, however, he knew those beings would not descend for the time being.

For now, strengthening their side remained the highest priority. Lu Yuan stayed on Jade Emperor Peak and sat down cross-legged.

Mount Tai was shrouded in a special power, making it suitable for cultivation and seclusion.

With his current strength, returning to his former residence was no longer practical. Even a trace of his aura could make the ground tremble and split. He could control that power, but there was no reason to take the risk.

He might as well not return. In the future, he would use Jade Emperor Peak as his place of seclusion.

Lu Yuan’s first task was to use the Celestial Emperor’s Ancient Token and the Investiture Edict to bestow as much Providence as possible upon the Celestial Court and everyone he had formally invested.

The Nine Tripod Cauldrons contained seemingly limitless Providence. Until now, Lu Yuan had simply lacked the ability to control it. He was now a Celestial Seat Immortal who had comprehended the Celestial Seat laws and gathered several Celestial Emperor’s Ancient Tokens. His command over Providence had improved enormously.

He turned his attention inward, examined the names on the Investiture Edict, and began.

He began with Zhu Qingyu and the other core members of the Celestial Court, granting them a far greater blessing of Providence than before.

Lu Yuan hoped to help them grow as much as possible within the limited time available, perhaps even allowing them to enter the Immortal Realm.

Many Jiang Clan disciples were equally outstanding. Lu Yuan did not favor one side over the other and granted them the same increased blessing of Providence.

As long as the forces under his command grew stronger, the situation would become far more manageable.

Even with greater Providence supporting them, their growth would still take time. Lu Yuan could only do what he could.

It would be enough if he could make his people strong enough to protect themselves.

As Lu Yuan acted, Zhu Qingyu, Ice Fairy, and the others felt a vast, unseen force descend upon them, sending their power surging.

With the immediate crises resolved, many people sensed the blessing and entered seclusion without hesitation, hoping to take another step forward.

Time passed.

Outside, discussions continued about Lu Yuan slaying four Celestial Seat Immortals and crushing the two factions’ forces.

Many beings wondered whether they should build good relations with the Celestial Court at a time like this.

The power appearing throughout the famous mountains and great rivers had already alerted them to the danger posed by the Extracosmic Heavenly Demons.

If they could ally with the Celestial Court, things would at least be much better.

The Celestial Court offered no response because its core members were all in seclusion. Those seeking an alliance found themselves turned away.

That was only natural. They had refused to step forward at the most critical moment, yet now that the Celestial Court had displayed its strength, they hoped to draw closer.

Even if Zhu Qingyu and the others learned of this, they would pay it no mind. Any alliance with such opportunists would be fragile at best.

Some of those now trying to curry favor with the Celestial Court had submitted to the two factions not long ago.

Some had even taken the initiative to harass the five supercities.

Lu Yuan had chosen not to argue with those people, but that did not mean the Celestial Court would tolerate them.

In the end, Elder Ji and Elder Yun warned them that if they continued coming, the Celestial Court would begin settling old accounts. Mount Tai soon grew quieter.

A few days later, Zhu Qingyu finally broke through the Sage Realm and entered the Immortal Realm, becoming an Undying Immortal.

The Undying Immortal Realm was the first realm of the Immortal Realm, and Zhu Qingyu was the first member of the Celestial Court to reach it.

The news stunned the Jiang Clan disciples. Zhu Qingyu had been cultivating for far less than ten years, yet she had already entered the Immortal Realm. Her speed left them shaken.

Entering the Immortal Realm might not impress the universe’s greatest experts, but reaching it in so little time remained an astonishing feat by any measure.

That was only the beginning. Over the next half month, Ice Fairy, Young Celestial Master Chunyang, and several others entered the Immortal Realm in succession.

They had only been one step away before.

That final step was far more difficult than the distance made it seem. Many people might not succeed even after decades or even a hundred years.

Yet within half a month, several of them succeeded, shocking everyone.
