Fully Leveled Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Chapter 1550: Chapter 1550: Greatly Benefited

Shu Yu saw his deeply troubled expression and couldn’t help but feel curious, “What a pity?”

“It’s a pity, even though he took on many jobs to raise money for his father’s treatment and has experience, his background is unclear, and I reckon it won’t be easy to keep him here.”

“Why do you say that?”

Ren Yiping replied, “Manager Wei once said that in our business, besides having strong foundations ourselves, we must also be wary of sabotage from competing merchants outside. Those with unclear backgrounds, ones you can’t easily find out about, are very likely to have been deliberately placed by others.”

Shu Yu raised an eyebrow, “It seems that although you haven’t spent much time with Manager Wei, he has taught you a lot.”

Ren Yiping scratched his head and laughed sheepishly, “Manager Wei is indeed great. At first, I was a little worried, since Manager Wei was personally invited by you, the boss, so he must be incredible. I also feared he might be difficult to talk to or have strict demands. Yesterday afternoon, when he first came to check the shop, I was particularly uneasy at heart.”

But Manager Wei turned out to be much more amiable than he imagined. He is capable but very down-to-earth without any temper.

When he arrived, he carefully showed the token given by Shu Yu and the shop keys to prove his identity.

Afterwards, instead of inquiring about the shop’s situation, he chatted about everyday life, mentioning that he had a daughter and heard that Ren Yiping had a younger sister, suggesting the two girls, being of similar age, could play together.

He also said he wouldn’t be staying at the shop in the future, so it would be up to him to look after the shop’s backyard.

Ren Yiping gradually relaxed. He was naturally articulate, and soon got to know Wei Ronghua well.

Whenever he spoke, Wei Ronghua would quietly listen.

It felt a bit like how it was with the boss.

This morning, during the hiring registration, Wei Ronghua taught him some pointers about the situation while working.

Even though it had only been a day and a half, Ren Yiping felt he had benefited a lot.

Upon hearing this, Shu Yu smiled and said, “That’s good. Manager Wei is experienced, and following him to learn well can help you acquire a lot of knowledge, which will be beneficial for you.”

Ren Yiping nodded heavily, “Mm.”

He now felt especially fortunate to have chosen to work in the prefecture. Although the shopkeeper in the county town was also good, his working style was completely different from Manager Wei’s, as if…one was suited for defending the town, while the other was suited for expanding the territory?

After chatting for a bit with Ren Yiping, Shu Yu went back to her room to freshen up; she really had a lot on her plate today, running around had exhausted her, and she retired early to rest.

Meanwhile, Ren Yiping, munching on the roast duck bought by the boss, was recalling the knowledge taught by the shopkeeper. He sat in the room for quite a while, starting to analyze An Letian’s situation.

An Letian had said he worked as a laborer, carried big bags, served as a staff, and could serve tea and water. He came from the mountains and understood nothing initially, encountered obstacles everywhere, suffered bullying, deception, despair, experiencing every hardship.

But fortunately, the young men from their mountains had tenacity, fearing nothing more than hardship and toil. While taking care of his critically ill father, he earned money by day, and at night, eavesdropped on the poor scholars next door, hoping to learn more skills.

Later, his father’s illness was not cured, and he passed away, leaving An Letian with no other relatives in the mountains, so he simply stayed in the city.

After witnessing the world, he realized that staying confined in the mountains was not the way.
