Fully Leveled Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Chapter 1549: Chapter 1549: That Man’s Name Is An Letian

Ren Yiping took out paper and pen from the shop and turned to call the young man at the door, “You can come in now.”

The man withdrew his gaze from Shu Yu’s back, scraped the mud off his feet at the door, and then carefully walked in, asking in a low voice, “Was that young lady just now the boss of the shop?”

“Yes.”

The man immediately covered his face, “With how I looked, won’t I have left a bad impression on her? Will she not hire me because of that?”

Ren Yiping found it amusing; this guy was overthinking. With so many people coming for the job, in all sorts of conditions, just having a hole in his shoe was nothing.

He spread out the paper, dipped his pen in ink, and said, “Don’t worry, our boss is not someone who judges by appearances. As long as you have the ability, she will want you.”

Besides, the recruitment is entirely handled by Manager Wei; if she said she’s not involved, then she’s really not involved.

Ren Yiping didn’t say much, only asked, “Name.”

“An Letian.”

“Age.”

“Eighteen.”

Ren Yiping had only recently learned to write, so his handwriting was still crooked, but he was meticulous with the registration, asking everything according to the format provided by Wei Ronghua.

Meanwhile, Shu Yu, who went to the inn to eat, met with Xiao Family again.

She explained the general situation. Although she still couldn’t be sure whether Hao Dingshan went to Dongqing Temple genuinely for the temple master or was suspicious of Xiao Family, it was no longer suitable for Xiao Family to return to Dongqing Temple.

Not only could she not return today, but she might also not be able to appear at Dongqing Temple for some time. No one knew when Hao Dingshan would leave or if he would leave someone behind to keep watching.

Fortunately, Xiao Family had packed some luggage simply before leaving, bringing along everything she needed.

Shu Yu advised her to rest for a few nights at the inn, and in a few days, she would find her a quieter house in the prefecture to settle down.

After saying that, Shu Yu didn’t linger any longer and returned to the shop with Ying Xi.

The shop was already closed. Ren Yiping was boiling water in the kitchen. Seeing Shu Yu return, he quickly stood up and said, “Boss, you’re back? The hot water is ready; let me bring it over for you.”

Shu Yu waved her hand, “No need, we can do it ourselves. Here’s a roast duck I brought for you. Thank you for your hard work today.”

He put a paper bag on the stove, and Ren Yiping sniffed the air, smelling the delicious aroma. He immediately chuckled, “Thank you, boss. Is this roast duck from the Pan Family’s place up front? Every time I pass by their shop, I can smell the fragrance, but it’s a pity it’s expensive, and I’ve never been able to buy it. Thanks to the boss today, I finally get to taste it.”

Ren Yiping was eloquent, even able to make a roast duck sound exceptional.

Shu Yu watched him with a smile as he took out a plate to put the roast duck in, “Boss, have some.”

“No thanks, we just had dinner and are quite full,” Shu Yu said, pouring herself a glass of water, and then casually asked, “Did you register the person who came by tonight?”

Ren Yiping nodded, “Yes, I did. His name is An Letian. He’s really nice; I felt comfortable talking to him, and his face was decent after washing.”

Shu Yu laughed, “You have quite a good impression of him?”

“Indeed, his home is far from the prefecture, in the mountains. Two years ago, his father was seriously ill, so he brought him out of the mountains for treatment. After his father passed away, he stayed without leaving. It’s a pity…”
