Fully Leveled Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Chapter 1423: Chapter 1423: Shu Yu Strikes Back with a Slap

Tao Qin slightly lowered her head and softly said, “Lady Lu, I know I am not as good as you. You are the Village Chief, your status is more noble than mine. But my aunt is Young Master Meng’s aunt by marriage, so we naturally have a bond that can’t be broken. Lady Lu, I am willing to serve Young Master Meng with you.”

“But I am not willing.”

“Lady Lu, why are you so quick to refuse? My aunt was not wrong when she just said that she…”

Before Tao Qin could finish her sentence, Ms. Tao, who was standing by the door, suddenly coughed lightly.

In the next moment, Shu Yu saw Tao Qin raise her head, looking as if she were about to cry, and then she raised her hand and slapped her own face with a ‘smack’, falling to the floor with a thud.

Shu Yu, “…”

Ms. Tao rushed over, squatted beside Tao Qin, and sternly asked, “Lu Shuyu, why did you hit someone?”

Shu Yu’s mouth twitched, and just then, three people, led by Uncle Meng, walked in from outside the door.

“What happened here, what is going on?”

Ms. Tao pointed at Shu Yu in anger and said, “Husband, you must stand up for Ah Qin. She is simply being bullied too much. Ah Qin merely accidentally bumped into her, yet she was slapped. Poor Ah Qin is still ill.”

Uncle Meng looked at Shu Yu in astonishment, then glanced at Tao Qin who was on the ground.

Tao Qin covered her right cheek, tears falling like raindrops, looking utterly miserable.

Uncle Meng was puzzled, “Did you really lay hands on her, Shu Yu?”

Without waiting for her to answer, Ms. Tao loudly stated, “Is there any doubt? Yesterday she said she would go smash her grandmother’s house with an axe, I thought she was exaggerating to scare people, little did I know she really does strike without hesitation.”

Shu Yu laughed, watching Ms. Tao help the crying Tao Qin to her feet.

She suddenly turned her head and called out, “Ying Xi.”

“Miss.” Ying Xi was just at the door, and with a few quick steps, she came in.

Shu Yu rubbed her wrist and said to her, “Help Aunt rest aside for a while.”

“Yes.” Ying Xi stepped forward and pulled Ms. Tao away.

Ms. Tao widened her eyes, “What are you doing? Let me go, let me go.”

But how could she be a match for the martial-trained Ying Xi, feeling intense pain from her wrist, she could only stagger a few steps to the side.

Who knew that in the next moment, Shu Yu advanced abruptly, raising her hand.

With a ‘smack’, she heavily slapped Tao Qin’s face.

“Ah…” Tao Qin screamed, this time truly in pain, retreating two steps and falling to the ground.

The shouting from Ms. Tao ceased, Meng Han instinctively covered his mouth, and Uncle Meng was about to step forward but was stopped by Meng Yunzheng.

In the living room, there was a dead silence.

Shu Yu looked down at Tao Qin from above, satisfied with her handiwork.

Then she turned her head to Ms. Tao, smiling all over, “Aunt, did you see? If I were really to hit someone, at the very least it would be like this, where would it be so light that not even a mark is left, I would be utterly useless then.”

Ms. Tao looked at her in shock, completely not expecting her to not only not explain but actually lay hands on someone in front of everyone.

Shu Yu flicked her wrist and looked back at Meng Han, “Ah Han sister, I heard you’ve practiced martial arts, right?”

Meng Han had her mouth open, nodding unconsciously.

Shu Yu then advised her, “Since you’ve trained in martial arts, you should be stronger than your cousin here. Next time if she insists on taking your things, crying or tattling is useless, just hit her directly. If once isn’t enough, then twice; if twice still doesn’t work, then three times. Once she’s afraid, it will be alright, understand?”
