Fully Leveled Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Chapter 1295: Chapter 1295: A Good Profit Before the New Year

Lu Sixing had nothing much to do, so she wanted to contribute to the household. Seeing Third Lu buy a house, she was actually a little tempted.

But only Yuan Shanchuan was working at home, and his wages were limited. In the future, when Quanquan grows up a bit, they still want to send him to school.

The family indeed needed additional income, so Lu Sixing wanted to earn some extra money.

She discussed this with Yuan Shanchuan, and Quanquan was left in Xiaozhen’s care; Xiaozhen was nearly eight years old, and at this age, a little girl could look after her brother just fine. Plus, with Little Song Le playing along, Lu Sixing wasn’t worried.

She turned to ask Third Lu first, and as soon as Third Lu spoke, didn’t Madam Liang find out?

Madam Liang thought the idea was good; they could sew doll covers at night and sell melon seeds during the day, selling whatever they could.

So the two of them discussed it and went to find Shu Yu.

Shu Yu naturally had no problem with it. She was more than happy to have someone help expand her market.

She did not charge a high wholesale price for the two of them. Since it was their first time doing this, Shu Yu also gave them convenience. If they couldn’t sell the seeds, as long as they weren’t damp and were clean, they could be returned.

With no worries, the two of them had even more motivation to sell the seeds, and they could be said to be full of energy as they took their baskets to Peach Blossom Forest.

Lu Sixing wasn’t very good with words, but she had a gentle nature, speaking softly and patiently. She got lucky and, shortly after arriving at the Peach Blossom Forest, ran into a girl from a colleague’s family of Yuan Shanchuan. That girl, talking with a group of friends, recognized her and knew she was Shu Yu’s Fourth Aunt, so she came over to greet her.

With this greeting, the melon seeds in Lu Sixing’s hands were sold.

One brought another, and in just half a day, the melon seeds in the basket were all sold out.

They didn’t take much on the first day, but after calculating at home, they actually made eight taels and a few coins.

Madam Liang made more, as she was more confident than Lu Sixing, not to mention that it was her husband’s territory; how could she not sell some melon seeds? Madam Liang was eloquent and even deliberately pulled a staff member under Lu Sanzhu to chat alongside the ladies’ circle in the peach forest.

Though these wealthy ladies seemed prim and proper and looked down on Madam Liang, human nature craves gossip. They couldn’t resist and soon edged closer.

Madam Liang targeted her audience precisely; these ladies were the ones holding the financial power at home, made purchases on their own, and wouldn’t skimp on weight for the sake of face.

Thus, on the first day, she earned two taels and three coins.

This was just one day, and both of them reaped substantial rewards and saw hope, becoming even more vigorous on the second day.

By the time Madam Li found out about this, it was just three or four days before the New Year.

She wanted to join in but couldn’t, as Shu Yu’s stock was already running low.

Lu Sixing and Madam Liang, from selling melon seeds these days, one earned fifteen taels, and the other earned seven taels, and they couldn’t be happier.

Sales had improved, and the business in Shu Yu’s shop gradually picked up.

She took the opportunity to buy another piece of land, about fifty acres.

The problem was that large contiguous plots were scarce. This fifty acres were a bit far from the Manor, but it couldn’t be helped that the harvest would have to be transported back later.

Shu Yu was busy until the 28th of the twelfth month, when the workshop finally stopped working. After distributing the New Year’s supplies, she left someone to watch the door and gave everyone else a holiday.
