Fully Leveled Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Chapter 1267: Chapter 1267: Am I an Outsider?

One of the Daoist nuns was watering the vegetables. Upon hearing, she put down the bucket and walked over, “The temple master has not returned yet. Does the young lady have some matter?”

This Daoist nun was the one who had delivered the letter to Shu Yu before. She was only around twenty, not very old. However, her gentle temperament earned her the trust of the Dongqing Temple master, otherwise, she would not have been entrusted with the letter for Shu Yu back then.

Now that the Dongqing Temple master was not around, two people were assigned to manage the big and small affairs in the temple.

The slightly older Daoist Nun Qiu was in charge of the matters concerning the visitors at the front, while Daoist Nun Zheng managed the daily chores of the backyard.

If Shu Yu was to inquire about Old Master Miao, she might need to turn to Daoist Nun Qiu.

She frowned, and Daoist Nun Zheng asked, “Has the young lady encountered some difficulty?”

“Yes.” Shu Yu thought for a moment and asked her first, “Do you know Old Master Miao from the west of Dongan Province?”

Daoist Nun Zheng thought for a while, then nodded and said, “I know.”

Shu Yu’s eyes brightened slightly, “I heard he comes to Dongqing Temple every month, is that right? Do you know what he comes here for?”

“This, I don’t know. My Lord might as well ask Senior Sister Qiu. She should know.”

Shu Yu immediately showed a look of distress, and seeing this, Daoist Nun Zheng couldn’t help but want to laugh.

After a moment of silence, Shu Yu finally sighed heavily and said, “Then I’ll trouble Senior Sister Zheng to help me find Senior Sister Qiu.”

“Please wait a moment, My Lord.”

Shu Yu sat on a bench and massaged her temples.

She was not too keen on dealing with Daoist Nun Qiu. Actually, she was more familiar with Daoist Nun Qiu than Daoist Nun Zheng.

Back when she first arrived at the Dasu dynasty and was recovering at Dongqing Temple, Daoist Nun Qiu would often have matters to discuss with the Dongqing Temple master. Since Shu Yu was around the master, they met frequently and eventually became familiar.

Daoist Nun Qiu was a nice person, but… she was just a bit too wordy.

She wanted to ask about Old Master Miao, but the other party would definitely not give her a straightforward answer.

Sure enough, when Daoist Nun Qiu arrived, she smiled and said to Shu Yu, “How have you been lately, My Lord? The front is a bit hectic, so I might not be able to stay here long. My Lord might as well have lunch here before leaving, and then…”

“I know Senior Sister Qiu is busy, so I’ll just ask a few questions and go.” Everyone is in a rush, so let’s not waste time on pleasantries.

Shu Yu got straight to the point, “Senior Sister Qiu, you know Old Master Miao, right? Do you know what he often comes to the temple for?”

Daoist Nun Qiu looked at her disapprovingly, “My Lord, this is a temple. How can we casually divulge the affairs of the visitors to outsiders? Besides, why are you so keen to inquire about him? Do you know what that Benefactor Miao does? He’s in Dongan Province, and you’re in Jiangyuan County, how did you get entangled with him, this…”

Shu Yu, “…”

She knew it!

“Senior Sister Qiu.” Shu Yu interrupted her, “How can I be considered an outsider? I am the disciple of the Dongqing Temple master, an insider. It’s okay for insiders to know, right? Or perhaps, Senior Sister Qiu has always seen me as an outsider and does not acknowledge me as the master’s disciple?”

Daoist Nun Qiu was taken aback by her question. She was indeed the master’s disciple. Although not a Daoist nun, the temple master valued her greatly, so she couldn’t be considered an outsider.

Shu Yu gently probed, “Senior Sister Qiu, with the master not here, when I encounter difficulties, won’t any of you help me? Alas, with this incident, it has become clear to me that in senior sister’s heart, I hold no position. How very heartbroken I am.”

Daoist Nun Qiu, “…”
