She is the Side Character! — Watch Her Change her fate!

Another student died at Ning University.

It was Liang Cheng, who shared a dorm with Jiang Yizhou. I heard it was another fall, this time from the library building. Although it was only six stories high, he died instantly.

Even the most naive person would realize that the recent falls are anything but simple.

Officer Zhao Kehan was once again at the scene, looking at Liang Cheng’s body lying in a pool of blood, his brows furrowed deeply.

A deliberate murder case.

Who could the killer be?

Then what about Su Chen? Is there any connection between Su Chen and the recent two cases of male students falling to their deaths?

It’s hard not to be suspicious.

Are all three cases the work of the same killer, or were the last two triggered because of Su Chen?

He vaguely felt it was the latter, a natural instinct, but there was no evidence.

If that’s the case, there are suspects now. Although on the surface many things seem different, those associated with Su Chen remain highly suspicious.

After the crime scene investigation, no trace of a third person was found, as clean as ever.

The cleaner it is, the more suspicious it becomes.

This time was different; Liang Cheng’s hands were tied, obviously pushed off the building, with a terrified expression on his face, as if he’d seen something unimaginable before dying.

When Jiang Yizhou died, his face was so damaged it was hard to see any expression. If an expression were visible, it might be quite similar to Liang Cheng’s, thought Zhao Kehan.

Tan Ying and Su Youcheng were taken to the police station for questioning. This time, many people saw the couple being taken away, sparking a lot of discussion.

However, due to lack of evidence, they were only taken for routine questioning, without handcuffs.

”I didn’t kill anyone, you police officers can’t frame people. I was in the dorm at the time, and someone can prove it.” Tan Ying kept talking, quite angry, but knowing she couldn’t resist police questioning, she cooperated, though clearly unsatisfied.

The students started speculating, guessing whether Tan Ying and Su Youcheng could be the murderers.

”It can’t be, right?”

”In other words, even if they wanted to avenge Su Chen’s death, why Liang Cheng? Killing Jiang Yizhou seems more likely since he was Su Chen’s boyfriend.”

”The possibility of killing Su Chen’s roommates is higher than killing Liang Cheng, as they were closer, being in the same dorm.”

”Right, if they thought their daughter was bullied, logically they’d target the closer ones.”

”Killing the school leadership seems more likely, it just doesn’t make sense to target Liang Cheng.”

”Speaking of which, do they even care about Su Chen’s death? After she died, they got benefits and stopped causing trouble, clearly not caring much.”

Ning University had already seen three students falling to their deaths, becoming big news, generating widespread rumors.

After basic information questioning, Tan Ying honestly explained what she’d been doing today.

”That dead girl of mine committed suicide, why would I kill unrelated people? Am I fed up with good days? Officer, I’m a good person,” Tan Ying said. ”You can’t falsely accuse people.”

Zhao Kehan tapped the table, signaling Tan Ying to be silent: ”Then explain why the dorm window frame is loose, easy to remove. That place is just where the cameras can’t see, if you went out there, you wouldn’t be caught on camera.”

”The window is loose, can be removed?” Tan Ying looked surprised, ”Officer, I just recently arrived at school, the dorm is just for sleeping, who would check if the window is secure? If you didn’t tell me, I wouldn’t even know.”

”Then explain why your fingerprints are up there?”

Tan Ying was speechless: ”Officer, that’s where I stay every day, don’t you know about wiping windows? Right, leaning on the window to watch outside movements is normal, right? Honestly, the dorm building has a girl dressing up flamboyantly, I can’t stand it. She comes back the latest every day, from the window’s position you can see her way back.”

”Every time I glimpse her returning, I’d quickly lock the door to teach her a lesson. Students should dress decently and come back on time, but this girl doesn’t listen, is sharp-tongued, useless. If she were my daughter, I’d have broken her legs long ago,” Tan Ying said with a disappointed voice.

”Don’t stray from the topic.” Zhao Kehan tapped the table, ”At the incident time, who can testify you were in the dorm?”

”There is, a girl from 2602 can testify, she forgot her key and came to get it. I must say, today’s girls forget too much, especially those in this dorm, their memory is really poor,” Tan Ying complained.

Zhao Kehan spoke a few words to someone beside him, who then took a phone and walked aside.

Shortly after, he came back.

”It was indeed Tu Weiwei from 2602 who came for the key, accompanied by her roommate Sheng Qin. Not only that, when Tan Ying handed the keys to them, other girls also witnessed it, so Tan Ying really had no time to commit the crime.”

Zhao Kehan nodded, then said, ”And there’s Su Youcheng.”

He gave Tan Ying a deep look, to which Tan Ying confidently responded: ”My old man, honest as can be, wouldn’t hurt a fly, let alone kill a person. Ask whatever you want; we aren’t murderers. Once we’re cleared, you have to clear our names; we work at the school. This job was hard to get; if we lose it because of murder rumors, you have to compensate!”

Zhao Kehan felt a slight headache, but still said, ”If you haven’t done anything, we will clarify.”

Of course, further questioning confirmed Su Youcheng also had an alibi with witnesses, plunging the case into mystery once more.

Who could it be?

Zhao Kehan suddenly thought of dormmates Xu Zhao and Zhou Jiayang, both in the same dorm, could they know something?

These two were long excluded as suspects, thus not brought in for questioning.

Zhao Kehan went to the university, reaching room 4508, but no one was inside.

”Officer Zhao, who are you looking for?” An Shuo from the neighboring dorm stepped out, seeing Zhao Kehan at the door.

Today Zhao Kehan intended to privately gather information, without alerting school officials.

”Zhou Jiayang and Xu Zhao, did they go to class?” asked Zhao Kehan, ”Also, you guys are in the same major, why haven’t you gone to class...”

An Shuo shook his head: ”I don’t know; I only got along with Jiang Yizhou, never had much to do with them. Since Jiang Yizhou’s fall, we almost never hung out together. You might ask Principal Zhou because Zhou Jiayang’s emotions have been off since losing two roommates in a row.”

”And Xu Zhao?” Zhao Kehan asked.

An Shuo hesitated, then said: ”Xu Zhao is usually a cool-headed person, hard to tell, but he’s probably affected. I heard he’s preparing to study abroad. Given what’s happened, he might leave as soon as possible.”

”I see.”

”Student An Shuo, you must have their phone numbers, right? If it’s inconvenient to share, could you call them for me?” Zhao Kehan asked.
