Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 3114: Chapter 3203: A Freewheeling Approach to Doing Things

Enna Clark stared at the person across from her with a face full of surprise, once again that expression she couldn’t appreciate, making her even more depressed. She leaned back in her chair, took a sip of the hot cocoa in front of her, and admitted straightforwardly, ”Yeah, I don’t like it.”

The person across from her looked regretful, ”That’s really unfortunate, you’ve lost the ability to savor the deliciousness of the world.”

Enna, ”...”

What should she do? She really wanted to punch him.

”But you’re still lucky, at least God gave you a likable personality.” He spoke without pausing for breath, ”Next time I’ll bring you a delicious cake, maybe you’ll like them after you try it.”

Why did she suddenly feel that cake tasting here became such an esteemed thing?

”... Alright.”

She decided to change the topic and stop revolving around cakes.

”Mr. Nicholson, about what I mentioned last time, have you looked into it for me?”

The person across from her, after saying he would bring her a cake, justifiably claimed Enna Clark’s portion of strawberry cake as his own, and dug in heartily. Even when Enna spoke to him, most of his attention was still on the cake, as if he could hardly wait to stuff the whole piece into his mouth. If Enna hadn’t seen him devour an entire piece just now, she would have thought he hadn’t eaten in three days with the way he was wolfing it down.

The person across from her finished off the little strawberries and began enjoying the cake part with a knife and fork. He lifted his head belatedly, still with his mouth full, speaking indistinctly, ”I can’t check if you don’t bring the person over.”

”But...” she wanted to bring the person over...

The person across from her, considering she shared the strawberry cake with him, finally diverted a bit of attention from the cake to her, ”You didn’t bring the person for me to see. ’Watch, listen, question, feel,’ it says you need to meet face-to-face to be sure. If you don’t bring the person, I can only give him some random health supplements, at least it won’t kill him.”

He added one last thing, ”The payment still needs to be made, I’m quite broke recently.”

”... Mr. Nicholson is really short on money?” How come she heard he was actually quite wealthy?

The person across from her wiped the corner of his mouth and revealed a bright smile, ”Yeah, because lately I’ve taken a fancy to a new motorcycle, so I sold my house. Next month’s rent is still up in the air.”

Enna Clark’s mouth hung wide open, her jaw almost dropping, ”You sold, the house, the house?”

”Is that motorcycle really expensive?”

In her impression as an average person, motorcycle = a few thousand dollars.

Did the motorcycle he bought have diamonds embedded or was it a royal antique that he had to sell his house to afford it?

”It’s alright, 450 thousand, within a reasonable range.” Paris Nicholson propped his chin with his hand, speaking calmly, as if he had gotten a bargain, ”The other party urgently needed money, otherwise they wouldn’t have sold it to me.”

Enna Clark nearly jumped out of her seat, ”450 thousand is still within a reasonable range? Hey, you didn’t get scammed, did you?”

Paris Nicholson gave her a surprised look, poked a big strawberry, stuffed it into his mouth, and said nonchalantly, ”Nope, 450 thousand is a reasonable price. I checked online, that motorcycle could sell for about 525 thousand. I like it anyway, so it’s alright.”

Enna Clark had no strength left to mock him, just curious about one thing, ”You sold the house, where do you keep your motorcycle now?”
