Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 3102: Chapter 3111: Renee Anderson in Miserable Condition (4)

Austin Harper clenched the phone in his hand, feeling anguished, ”Mom, stop! I get it. I won’t contact her anymore, don’t worry.”

His grandma somehow found out about him secretly selling the family’s jewelry to Renee Anderson to gather money, and that night she had a stroke out of anger and ended up in the hospital.

Before passing out, she clutched his hand, crying and telling him not to mess around anymore; the family’s hope rested on his shoulders.

At that time, he promised his grandma, who had loved him all her life, that he would never contact Renee again and would settle down properly.

Afterward, he went on a blind date. The girl was from a similar social status, a simple and gentle girl. They had already clarified their relationship a few days ago and became boyfriend and girlfriend. Although he was a jerk, once he confirmed a relationship with someone, he never thought of betraying the other party.

He and Sister Renee were impossible.

Mrs. Harper stared at him, trying to read something from his face. After a long time, seeing nothing, she relaxed her shoulders and spoke softly, both reasonably and emotionally, ”Son, it’s not that I don’t want you to be happy. If it were another woman, I would surely give you my blessing. But not her. She’s obviously using your emotions, treating you like a tool. How can I bear to see you being played by her? Your grandma had the stroke because of this reason. Do you understand?”

Austin felt a heavy weight pressing on his chest, lowered his head, ”I know Grandma wasn’t angry about the jewelry. It’s me being too immature.”

Mrs. Harper grabbed his hand, moved, and said, ”It’s nothing. You were young and immature before. But son, now you are the pillar of the family. Even if not for me, not for your dad, at least for Grandpa and Grandma, bear a little responsibility. Don’t associate with her anymore...”

Austin gritted his teeth, looked up to meet her eyes, and solemnly vowed, ”I won’t contact Sister Renee again, I swear!”

He couldn’t let his family down again.

Especially not his grandma.

To prove the credibility of his words, he retrieved Renee’s phone number in front of Mrs. Harper and dragged it into the blacklist.

Mrs. Harper’s tension immediately eased, softening completely, ”Son, thank you.”

Austin looked at her teary eyes, tossed the phone aside, patted her back, and gently comforted, ”Mom, what are you saying, it’s me who should be apologizing. Also, thank you for still giving me the opportunity to believe in me.”

”Silly child, I’m your mom. If I don’t give you a chance, who will?” Mrs. Harper patted his shoulder, smiling with deep contentment.

...

Mrs. Harper was satisfied, but Renee Anderson felt anxious.

After being hung up on, she unwillingly tried calling Adam Sinclair’s number again. This time, there was no ringtone; it directly said the person was out of the service area.

She had just called Austin Harper; how could she believe Austin was out of the service area? This situation clearly indicated that her number had been added to the rejection list.

Renee hadn’t panicked before because she thought with Austin as her backup, 30 thousand was nothing; once she asked, Austin would surely find a way to get it for her.

Who knew Austin would drag her number into the blacklist, and she panicked instantly.

”Damn it, that old hag!” She tried calling a few more times to no avail, furiously throwing her phone to the ground.
