Super Gene Hunting Ground

Yang Xiao realized that if he had to introduce Black Jinkang and the lion to others as his ”brothers” in the future, it would really feel awkward. Fortunately, these two big guys don’t have to follow him out of the desert.

Taking an ape as a brother, it really would lower one’s IQ.

Zhang Jian looked at the gorilla and lion behind Yang Xiao, somewhat dumbstruck and speechless, while Lan Xin and others covered their mouths and laughed heartily.

Yang Xiao then said:

”We’re heading back now, and from now on, everyone should stop hunting here, giving face to these two brothers of mine. This canyon is their territory.”

Seeing that his senior brother Zhang Hai and others said nothing, Zhang Jian nodded in agreement, then led a few junior brothers away.

Soon, they encountered Xie Lei and others engaged in a fierce battle with a huge pangolin. The pangolin’s defense was extremely high, and its tail, over ten meters long, was powerful and forceful. With a sweep, Xie Lei and the others didn’t dare to block it directly.

Monk Ben Yin shouted to Xie Lei from afar:

”Xie Lei, stop fighting, let’s go back now.”

Xie Lei, who was in the midst of the eager fight, said:

”Monk Ben Yin, come help me out. I’ll give you a few Genetic Balls later. This pangolin is a bit tricky to deal with.”

Ben Yin laughed and said:

”Better stop now, we’re going back with Yang Xiao.”

Yang Xiao ran over and said:

”Xie Lei, you guys have killed quite a few monsters, right? You’ve already made some gains, so let’s call it a day.”

Xie Lei sent out a Seven Injuries Fist towards the distant pangolin, with a muffled sound, the air violently fluctuated. The pangolin’s huge body swayed, letting out a howl, its long tail sweeping towards Xie Lei, turning trees and rocks in its path to dust.

Xie Lei leaped to dodge, and several junior brothers surrounded the pangolin from different directions, weapons in hand, Sword Qi crisscrossing.

While fighting, Xie Lei said:

”Yang Xiao, either come give me a hand, or you guys go ahead. We’ll make our own way back. Don’t wait for us. With so many resources in Desert Canyon, would I be a fool to return empty-handed?”

Suddenly, Xie Lei felt something strange. With so many people around, why was no one helping him fight the pangolin? He quickly turned his head and saw two huge monsters standing behind Yang Xiao, and his heart skipped a beat from shock, not understanding what was going on.

Yang Xiao said indifferently:

”Xie Lei, one last piece of advice, back off now. Otherwise, these two... brothers behind me will make a move against you. This place is their territory, and we’ve promised them we won’t hunt here anymore.”

The ”we” in Yang Xiao’s mouth naturally included Ben Yin, Zhang Hai, and others.

Xie Lei steadied his mind, thinking how this kid Yang Xiao had managed to pick up two more pets in the desert, and even calling them brothers.

Collecting monsters as pets in the desert is quite ordinary, of course, depending on fate.

Xie Lei suddenly laughed out loud:

”Yang Xiao, don’t tell me you want to monopolize the resources of Desert Canyon all by yourself? Yesterday, you and Zhi Ruo among others gained a lot of resources here, if you could hunt, why can’t I? That doesn’t make sense, right?”

It wasn’t unreasonable for Xie Lei to think this way, even Zhang Hai and Zhang Jian were very eager to stay and hunt monsters to obtain Evolution resources.

Yang Xiao couldn’t be bothered to argue with him; people like Xie Lei just never learn until they hit rock bottom. Lan Xin, Zhi Ruo, Ben Yin, and Zhang Hai had all gone on ahead to look after their own safety because they truly cared about their well-being, but ever since Xie Lei entered the canyon, he’d been busy hunting monsters. In Xie Lei’s eyes, nothing was more important than these Evolution resources.

Yang Xiao said to Ben Yin:

”Let’s go.”

”What about Brother Xie?”

”If he likes hunting that much, let him stay here.”

Yang Xiao then spoke to Black Jinkang and the lion:

”You two don’t need to see me off, this is far enough. I’ll come visit you in a few days and bring some salt for you.”

Black Jinkang and the lion were startled for a moment, but Yang Xiao had already turned around and left.

Black Jinkang looked at Xie Lei and the others, then shouted to Yang Xiao:

”What about these humans? Is he your brother?”

”No, he’s not my brother.”

Yang Xiao answered loudly.

The lion immediately asked loudly:

”So, if he’s not your brother, then he’s not our brother either, right?”

”Right!”

The gorilla looked disdainfully at the lion and said:

”You’re so dumb. If he’s not Yang Xiao’s brother, then of course he’s not our brother. With your intelligence, you can only be a lion in your next life.”

”Dumb gorilla, do you think you can become a human in your next life?”

”What are we arguing about, forgot what Brother Yang Xiao said about sticking together? Charge!”

The gorilla and the lion roared and charged towards Xie Lei and the others.

Xie Lei was surprised to see the gorilla and the lion, holy crap, he had never heard of monsters being able to speak human language?

When the gorilla charged over, Xie Lei felt that something was bad, but still raised his fist and punched towards the gorilla.

He wanted to see how strong this gorilla actually was, even thinking that if he killed these two talking monsters, they would definitely drop more treasures.

With the Seven Injuries Fist unleashed, the surrounding air violently fluctuated, and the killing aura soared.

Bang!

Xie Lei felt his body being instantly hit and flying over the heads of Yang Xiao and the others, landing with a smack right in front of them.

Wow!

Xie Lei spat out a mouthful of blood; his right hand that had punched towards the gorilla was now broken.

Xie Lei was shocked. With his current Enhanced Gene Primary Level and the power of the Seven Injuries Fist, even monsters with Enhanced Gene Advanced would have a hard time withstanding his punch; the pangolin would have been killed earlier if not for its super-strong defense.

To what extent had this gorilla’s Genetic Evolution progressed?

Could it be the legendary King Level?

Xie Lei felt a chill in his heart.

Then, several more banging sounds followed, the disciples of the Kongtong Sect were all thrown by the gorilla and the lion, all landing right in front of Yang Xiao and the others.

Each person had an arm broken and was in immense pain.

The gorilla and the lion were about to continue attacking Xie Lei and the others when they were stopped by Yang Xiao.

”Let it go, spare them this time.”

”Hehe, since Brother Yang Xiao said so, we’ll spare them.”

”If you dare to come again, we’ll eat you directly.”

The lion opened its huge mouth, making a biting gesture, which made Ben Yin, Xie Lei, and the others shiver with fear.

”Amitabha, Brother Ben Guo, quickly feed Xie Lei and the others the Small Blood Pill, and get them out of the canyon.”

”Yes, Brother.”

Monk Ben Yin and a few disciples took out Small Blood Pills, fed them to Xie Lei and the others. After resting for a while, they felt much better, although those with broken bones needed to rest more and could not use their arms for any vigorous movement.

Xie Lei and the others only had broken arms and their legs were fine, so they could still use Qinggong; they immediately left the canyon and quickly flew towards the Genetic Store.

The gorilla and the lion said goodbye to Yang Xiao and turned back to the canyon, with Yang Xiao faintly hearing the gorilla and the lion discuss a very serious topic.

”I’ll be the boss, and you be the second-in-command.”

”I’ll be the boss, and you be the second-in-command.”

”Should we see whose fist is stronger?”

”Sure, who’s afraid of whom?”

”No, Brother Yang Xiao said, if we are brothers, we shouldn’t fight, we must stick together.”

”Then let’s see who’s smarter.”

”Okay, I’ll start with a question, three monkeys plus two horses make how many?”
