Wu dong Qian Kun: I, Lin Langtian, Refuse to be a Supporting Character

In the forest, there was an expansive, open rocky area, surrounded by towering ancient trees. In the clearing, numerous figures could be seen, and bursts of noise and chatter constantly echoed from within.

Moving closer, it became clear that in the center of the clearing was an ancient stone plaza, currently crowded with many figures.

”Bloodseal Dynasty! What is this about? Are you trying to start a fight with us?” an angry voice echoed across the plaza, catching the attention of those around, who watched with keen interest.

Beyond the crowd, two opposing groups could be seen in the plaza’s center. Leading the group on the left was a young man in white, his handsome face clouded with frustration—it was none other than Liu Bai, who had also received one of the Four Great Mystical Sect inheritances. Alongside him were several powerful figures, standing by in support.

On the opposing side stood a figure cloaked in blood-red robes, his expression sinister as a group of equally formidable warriors gathered around him.

”Liu Bai, there’s no need to talk. The Heaven’s Alliance and our Earthshade Alliance have always been mortal enemies. You live, we die; we live, you die!” the blood-robed figure sneered, malice and killing intent radiating from his stance.

”Oh, the Earthshade Alliance…” murmured Lin Langtian, who had just arrived on the scene.

”Senior Brother,” Mo Ling quietly explained, ”From what I know, the inheritances of the Four Great Demon Sects all went to four extremely powerful super dynasties. To access their full power, however, they need the blood of those who hold the Four Mystical Sect inheritances, like yours and others’.”

Lin Langtian nodded as Lin Dong, who possessed the Azure Dragon Hall inheritance, remarked, ”Is that so? So the one facing off against Liu Bai must be a member of the Earthshade Alliance?”

”Yes, and judging from the red figure, he should be from the super dynasty known as the Bloodseal Dynasty, one of the inheritors of the Four Great Demon Sects,” Mo Ling continued. ”Senior Brother, you and Second Brother received two of the Four Mystical Sect inheritances, while Liu Bai and Yan Sen possess the other two. Even before reaching the core region, they clashed with super dynasties that received the Earthshade Alliance inheritances, and it seems their paths have crossed again here.”

”So they’re already after Liu Bai and Yan Sen.” Lin Dong’s eyes narrowed. ”What exactly are the Four Demon Sects?”

”The Four Demon Sects are named after ancient, vicious beasts—Taowu, Taotie, Qiongqi, and Zhuyan. These inheritances are no small matter, and combined with the super dynasties’ inherent strength, their leaders have a legitimate shot at the Nirvana Gold Rankings,” Mo Ling explained seriously.

”Ancient beasts, huh…” The group nodded thoughtfully, recognizing that this was indeed a good match for the Four Mystical Sects. Righteous and demonic, it was no wonder they were so fiercely opposed.

”If that’s the case, the Earthshade Alliance seems to be quite the formidable enemy,” muttered Jinwu.

”Hah, nothing we can’t handle. We’ll crush them if they cross us,” Xiao Yan replied, a dark smile appearing on his face, which made Xiao Diao roll his eyes.

”Don’t worry,” Mo Ling said with a grin. ”The Flame Alliance’s reputation in the core region is sky-high. Even if the Earthshade Alliance had nerves of steel, they wouldn’t dare provoke us. In fact, they’d probably avoid us altogether.” For now, the Earthshade Alliance’s targets were Liu Bai and Yan Sen, as they perceived them as more vulnerable targets compared to Lin Langtian and Lin Dong, whom they lacked the strength to confront directly.

”True,” Lin Langtian smiled, his gaze cold, ”but being on their hit list is bothersome. If the Earthshade Alliance isn’t brave enough to approach us, then we’ll go looking for them. These four super dynasties must have a good supply of Nirvana Seals for us to collect.” With a faint smirk, he led the Flame Alliance forward toward the plaza.

In the stone plaza, Liu Bai and his men had already clashed with the Bloodseal Dynasty. Both sides were formidable and had quickly fallen into a fierce battle.

”Give up, Liu Bai. If you hand over your Nirvana Seal, we might even let you die painlessly!” the blood-robed figure sneered from the center of the plaza, blood energy surging around him and forming waves of terrifying attacks that enveloped Liu Bai.

”You’re celebrating too soon!” Liu Bai sneered back, summoning a spear into his hands. With a twist of his weapon, spear shadows formed like a downpour, radiating deadly energy as they pushed back against his opponent.

”Even if you can hold your own, can you really resist the entire Earthshade Alliance?” the blood-robed figure jeered, taunting him in an attempt to make Liu Bai falter.

Liu Bai’s face fell at the taunt. He had recently learned that, instead of going after the Flame Alliance, the Earthshade Alliance had set their sights on him and Yan Sen. Now, facing the pressure of four super dynasties at once was more than he could bear.

”So I’m just a pushover to them now…” Liu Bai thought bitterly. He knew the Earthshade Alliance didn’t target Lin Langtian and Lin Dong only because of the Flame Alliance’s power. After their victory over the Great Zhao Dynasty, Lin Langtian and Lin Dong had demonstrated enough strength to make the Earthshade Alliance wary.

The images of Lin Langtian and Lin Dong surfaced in Liu Bai’s mind. Only six months ago, these two had created the Flame Alliance, which had gained such renown that even the Earthshade Alliance feared them. They shared the Mystical Sect inheritance, yet those two stood out far beyond him…

While Liu Bai was lost in thought, the blood-robed figure suddenly turned toward a clearing, his eyes narrowing as he noticed something.

A path had opened through the crowd, and at the end of it stood nearly a hundred people. Leading them was a tall young man, accompanied by several powerful figures.

This group was none other than Lin Langtian and his companions. Lin Langtian had observed the battle without comment, merely watching Liu Bai and his predicament.

”It’s been a while, Liu Bai,” Lin Dong said, smirking slightly as he spoke.

Liu Bai’s expression shifted as he struck down the blood-robed figure in front of him. With a faint smile, he replied, ”Who would have thought I’d run into Brother Langtian and Brother Lin Dong here—what a pleasant surprise.”
