Wu dong Qian Kun: I, Lin Langtian, Refuse to be a Supporting Character

”What a worthless Flame Alliance—just a group of nobodies from insignificant kingdoms, thinking they can stand against the great Zhao Dynasty. It’s beyond laughable!” sneered Zhao Zhan, the Second Commander of the Zhao Dynasty, his face filled with disdain as he glanced at the members of the Flame Alliance who had arrived to support Lin Langtian.

The gap between a super dynasty and a lesser kingdom was colossal. To the Zhao Dynasty, the Flame Alliance was nothing more than a ragtag group of ants—an annoyance at best.

”Enough talk! Is the mighty Zhao Dynasty only capable of barking? If you’re so confident, let’s fight!” Xiao Yan’s typical good-natured grin vanished instantly, his fiery temper flaring up. With a swing of his iron staff, he aimed it directly at Zhao Zhan, a fierce and menacing aura radiating from him.

Zhao Zhan and his two commanders exchanged dark glances, clearly unused to anyone displaying such bold defiance in their presence.

”If your leader Lin Langtian has some skill, then maybe he deserves our attention. But who do you think you are, acting this way? You’re begging to be put down!” said Zhao Yuan, the Third Commander of the Zhao Dynasty. Dressed in deep blue with hair as dark as the ocean depths, he was recently promoted to the Five-Yuan Nirvana stage, a formidable strength for anyone to face.

With a cold look, Zhao Yuan stepped forward, and in an instant, his body glowed a dazzling blue. Harnessing his water-based power, he launched a deadly strike toward Xiao Yan.

Undeterred, Xiao Yan gripped his iron staff and met Zhao Yuan’s attack head-on.

Clang!

A powerful shockwave exploded from their clash, the air around them vibrating as though it could hardly contain the force. Xiao Yan was pushed back several steps, while Zhao Yuan retreated only half a step.

Seeing this, those in the crowd who knew Zhao Yuan’s reputation were stunned. They expected Zhao Yuan, a Five-Yuan Nirvana master, to overwhelm Xiao Yan instantly. Instead, this fierce young man had withstood Zhao Yuan’s blow.

With a growl, Xiao Yan steadied himself. His eyes were now lit with a blood-red intensity, a wild, battle-hungry expression creeping across his face. With a roar, he charged forward, his iron staff transforming into a storm of strikes that crashed down on Zhao Yuan like a violent rainstorm.

”Hmph!” Zhao Yuan scoffed, offended by Xiao Yan’s audacity. But as he prepared to counter, another figure entered the fray.

”Xiao Yan, I’m with you!” Jinwu called out, arriving in a blur with his chilling black-ice spear—the semi-celestial weapon, the Black Ice Ten-Thousand Killing Spear.

Jinwu, who had recently reached the Four-Yuan Nirvana stage and was a Nine Nether Black Golden Crow in his true form, posed an even greater threat than Xiao Yan.

”Jinwu! Good timing! Today, let’s teach these big-headed super dynasties a lesson!” Xiao Yan shouted in delight. Covered in blood-red armor, he spun his black iron staff, creating piercing sonic booms as he and Jinwu launched a fierce joint assault on Zhao Yuan.

Zhao Yuan scoffed again and enveloped himself in a thick water barrier to deflect Xiao Yan’s furious attacks.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The relentless strikes rained down on Zhao Yuan’s shield, producing an echoing clash with each blow. Zhao Yuan remained unfazed behind his barrier, standing steady and confident.

However, Jinwu’s sharp gaze caught a tiny opening, and in a flash, his spear shot forward, piercing Zhao Yuan’s barrier and landing heavily on his shoulder.

Bang!

A powerful, icy force erupted from the impact, forcing Zhao Yuan back several paces, the blue aura around his shoulder dimming slightly. This scene caught the attention of everyone below, sparking a wave of surprised murmurs throughout the city. The unexpected turn of events was clear: the fierce teamwork of Xiao Yan and Jinwu, the top-ranked Flame Alliance fighter, had given them an edge over Zhao Yuan.

”Is that the Flame Alliance’s top fighter, Lin Langtian’s right-hand man, Jinwu? Impressive, but opposing the Zhao Dynasty is futile—like a mantis trying to stop a chariot,” sneered Zhao Yu, who stood beside Zhao Wuji. Zhao Yu, exuding an intimidating, bloodthirsty aura, was the First Commander of the Zhao Dynasty.

Zhao Zhan shot a quick glance at Zhao Wuji, then grinned darkly. ”Rest assured, I’ll kill each member of the Flame Alliance one by one right in front of Lin Langtian. Let’s see how long his courage lasts then!”

”This is the price of crossing the Zhao Dynasty!” he growled.

With that, Zhao Zhan raised his hand, and a jet-black spear materialized, vibrating with deadly energy as he lunged at Jinwu’s throat with lightning speed.

Clang!

However, before Zhao Zhan’s spear could land, a cold flash struck it aside, deflecting his attack. Lin Dong stepped forward, holding his Crocodile Bone Spear, meeting Zhao Zhan’s steely gaze with a calm smile.

”Why don’t you take me on instead? You don’t need to interfere in their fight,” Lin Dong said lightly.

Zhao Zhan glared at him, his lips twisting into a cruel smile. ”A mere Three-Yuan Nirvana ant. Are you sure you’re worthy?”

Lin Dong smiled without responding, simply lifting his spear to aim it directly at Zhao Zhan, his intentions clear.

Zhao Zhan’s smirk grew sharper as he released his oppressive energy, his chilling voice echoing through the arena.

”Today, no one from the Flame Alliance leaves alive!”

At this, everyone felt the deadly tension in the air rise. They knew this clash between the Flame Alliance and the Zhao Dynasty was about to escalate into a full-blown war.
