Wu dong Qian Kun: I, Lin Langtian, Refuse to be a Supporting Character

Boom!

The Crimson Flame Sky-Piercing Spear clashed once more with the green lotus beneath Lin Qingzhu’s feet. Intense energy waves erupted from both fighters, filling the hall with terrifying battle shockwaves.

The grand stone hall was in shambles, debris strewn everywhere. Countless cracks, several meters long, spread across the ground like veins, and the impact of their clash shattered pillar after towering pillar.

If the details of this battle were revealed, it would surely send shockwaves through the Great Yan Dynasty. Such a fearsome confrontation would be unimaginable even for some seasoned Creation Realm masters, yet here it was, unfolding between two young warriors deep within the ancient tomb.

”Roar!”

Within the rubble-strewn hall, a strange, guttural roar rang out as Lin Langtian’s spear blazed with fiery light. Flames gathered around it, coalescing into a massive dragon shadow that surged upward, exuding an intensely savage aura. For a moment, it was as if a true dragon of legend had materialized.

Lin Langtian swung his arm, sending the dragon shadow barreling toward Lin Qingzhu with fearsome momentum. Instantly, a violent storm of energy filled the hall, accompanied by blinding flames.

But after this technique, Lin Langtian’s upright form faltered, feeling the heavy strain of exhaustion. Lin Qingzhu was indeed the heir of a supreme sect. Despite his recent rapid progress, Lin Langtian’s rise was still young, and his foundation wasn’t fully solid.

As the flaming dragon bore down upon her, Lin Qingzhu’s expression remained calm. The green lotus beneath her feet began to glow brightly, radiating waves of energy as it formed a barrier that surrounded her. Although the barrier looked delicate, it was fortified with incredibly intense energy, making it seem nearly unbreakable.

The green lotus shield trembled slightly, radiating circles of energy as it stirred the air around Lin Qingzhu.

Boom!

The blazing dragon shadow hurtled down from above, accompanied by a thunderous rumble. For a moment, a faint cracking sound seemed to echo. Had an onlooker been present, they would have seen the dragon’s fiery figure tearing through the air, closing in on Lin Qingzhu at lightning speed.

Yet the final outcome came unexpectedly.

The dragon shadow plummeted, but Lin Langtian’s formidable attack, enhanced by his Black Flame Physique and Earth-level weapon, only caused the green lotus shield to ripple briefly before it stabilized, shining even brighter in a radiant green glow. Within that radiant shield, the dragon shadow dissipated slowly, like snow melting on a hot summer day.

Thud!

With the dragon shadow dispersed, the green lotus barrier faded, revealing Lin Qingzhu’s calm and aloof expression.

”You’ve lost,” she said simply, her gaze coolly meeting Lin Langtian’s.

Despite her outward calm, Lin Qingzhu’s eyes flickered slightly with surprise as she looked at Lin Langtian again. Her green lotus was no ordinary shield—it was a higher-level artifact than his Crimson Flame Sky-Piercing Spear. That Lin Langtian had forced her to activate it was a feat worthy of pride, especially given that he came from a lesser kingdom.

Shaking her head slightly, the victorious Lin Qingzhu raised her hand. A green light shot from her fingertip, taking the form of a hand that tightly grasped the Nirvana Heart floating before them. As she held it, the protective energy burst open, exposing a vibrant green heart, radiating with the life energy of a Nirvana-stage expert.

Power surged from her fingertips, and within moments, the Nirvana Heart melted into a vibrant, jade-green liquid, hovering in the air with an intense energy.

She cast a glance at Lin Langtian, her expression distant, as she elegantly lifted the veil from her lips and let the liquid flow into her mouth.

Seeing her supreme and unapproachable demeanor, Lin Langtian felt a wave of unexplainable anger rising within him. As a man born under heaven’s vast sky, wasn’t he destined to wield power and rest in the arms of beauties?

Lin Langtian’s ambitions were boundless, yet he had suppressed them, focusing solely on his path to martial greatness. But something about Lin Qingzhu’s aloof nature stirred an intense desire for conquest within him.

”Spirit Aunt, I need your power,” he said quietly, his gaze firm.

This wasn’t only about the Nirvana Heart—it was now a matter of his pride. He wanted to know what this proud daughter of the Nine Heavens Sect would do if she was defeated by someone from a minor kingdom. Would her high, indifferent expression remain unshaken?

Consequences aside, even if he risked offending the Nine Heavens Sect, Lin Langtian no longer cared. The vastness of the world left room beyond the Eastern Profound Region. If needed, he would take his talents to another region.

Sensing his determination, Spirit Aunt responded with a soft ”hm” without hesitation. Despite their vastly different backgrounds, their blood bond tied them as deeply as family, and she had grown to understand him well over time, trusting his judgment.

With Spirit Aunt’s answer, Lin Langtian’s confidence returned. He looked at Lin Qingzhu with a hint of a smile and said, ”Miss Qingzhu, the matter isn’t over yet.”

At these words, Lin Qingzhu, who had just consumed the Nirvana Heart, paused, frowning slightly.

Could it be that Lin Langtian still had a trump card?

In the surrounding darkness, power poured into Lin Langtian’s body, renewing his energy and vitality. A surging energy built within him, and soon, it felt like a dragon had awakened, flooding him with overwhelming strength.

Sensing the explosive surge of power within him, Lin Qingzhu’s calm gaze finally wavered.

”This power…”

As the Nine Heavens Sect’s heiress, Lin Qingzhu had never before felt such a potent threat, even among her sect’s most skilled disciples.

However, as Lin Langtian prepared to fully merge with Spirit Aunt’s strength, a distant, ancient voice echoed through the hall:

”In all my life, I’ve walked the path of Nirvana through Yin and Yang. Thus, what I have left here can only be obtained through harmony of Yin and Yang. Without this balance, it brings only the consequence of self-destruction.”
