Wu dong Qian Kun: I, Lin Langtian, Refuse to be a Supporting Character

”Crimson Flame Roaring Sky Spear!” Lin Langtian marveled, twirling the fiery spear in his hand. As he swung it, the scorching heat caused the temperature in the stone chamber to rise, and a powerful aura radiated from the weapon. Lin Langtian couldn’t help but smile in satisfaction—this Nirvana-level tomb indeed held treasures worth exploring.

While the spear wasn’t his first Earth-level spirit weapon—he had previously acquired the Spirit Wheel Mirror from the Lin Clan’s treasury—the Spirit Wheel Mirror had evolved into a mysterious artifact and was not primarily an offensive weapon. For increasing his attack power, it wasn’t very effective.

In contrast, this Crimson Flame Roaring Sky Spear was perfect for him. As the king of weapons, a spear had a wide range, strong lethality, and immense destructive power. Lin Langtian favored spears over blades or swords.

”This spear even seems to carry a hint of dragon’s aura,” Lin Langtian murmured as he ran his hand along the spear’s length. After bonding with Ling Yi, his awareness of beast auras had heightened, allowing him to sense the weapon’s uniqueness. A dragon was the ruler of the beast world, and if the spear indeed contained dragon blood, it would make its power all the more formidable.

After securing the Earth-level spirit weapon, he didn’t overlook the dozen other high-grade spirit treasures in the chamber and took them along. As a faction leader in the Lin Clan, he couldn’t command his subordinates empty-handed. These spirit treasures would be suitable rewards.

With everything in place, Lin Langtian swiftly exited the stone chamber and continued down the corridor.

After several minutes, Lin Langtian came to a stop. His gaze fell upon an unassuming stone room up ahead, where he sensed a powerful pulse of Yuan Power.

”There must be something good in there!”

This aura was unlike anything he had encountered in the previous rooms. Heart racing, Lin Langtian stepped forward, only for a powerful energy barrier to push him back when he tried to open the stone door.

Unfazed, Lin Langtian released his mental energy, wrapping it around the door, gradually weaving it into the energy shielding. Within moments, the door trembled, then slowly opened.

Inside the stone room, Lin Langtian found himself blinking against an intense light. As his eyes adjusted, he noticed that the chamber’s walls were made entirely of a rare, icy jade that emitted a faint chill.

But Lin Langtian’s attention quickly shifted from the walls to what lay scattered across the chamber floor—a pile of smooth, jade-like pills, each about the size of a baby’s fist. Even more stunning, they radiated a powerful, unmistakable Nirvana energy.

”These are... Nirvana Pills?” Lin Langtian whispered, eyes wide with astonishment.

Here they lay, discarded like common beans on the floor, yet these pills were Nirvana Pills, forged only by a Nirvana Realm master! And judging by the sheer quantity spread across the room, there were tens of thousands of them—a treasure trove worth hundreds of thousands or even millions of Yuan Pills!

Lin Langtian also knew that Nirvana Pills had a far more critical purpose beyond their currency value—they were essential for breaking through to the Nirvana Realm.

To reach the Nirvana Realm, one had to absorb Nirvana Qi, which could be gathered in two ways: naturally, by drawing it from the world, though this was a slow and inefficient process, or by using items rich in Nirvana Qi, the best of which was the Nirvana Pill.

Due to the immense effort required to create Nirvana Pills, even Nirvana experts found it challenging to produce them in large quantities. Consequently, many powerhouses aspiring to the Nirvana Realm went to great lengths to accumulate Nirvana Pills in preparation for their breakthrough. However, such a stockpile was something few forces in the Great Yan Empire could afford.

In Lin Langtian’s plans, Nirvana Pills played a critical role. His goal was to reach the Half-Step Nirvana Realm before the Hundred Empire War, and Nirvana Pills were crucial to that process. While reaching the Half-Step Nirvana Realm didn’t demand as many pills as a full breakthrough to Nirvana, it was still beyond the Lin Clan’s resources to support.

The Lin Clan’s reserves were limited; if they had an ample supply of Nirvana Pills, they would certainly have produced more Nirvana experts over the years.

His gaze fixed on the scattered Nirvana Pills, Lin Langtian’s eyes lit up with determination. ”In the end, I have to rely on myself!”

Without a moment’s hesitation, he retrieved his Qiankun Bag, unleashing his mental energy to scoop up the countless Nirvana Pills. Thousands of pills rose into the air, drawn into the bag as he looked on, excitement building within him.

Tens of thousands of Nirvana Pills—this was a fortune that could easily rival the worth of an Earth-level spirit weapon.

Having barely entered the tomb, he had already obtained the Crimson Flame Roaring Sky Spear and tens of thousands of Nirvana Pills. This venture had proven to be incredibly worthwhile.

No wonder that, in the original timeline, Lin Dong, a mere Yuan Dan practitioner, had thrived on the spoils from this tomb. Its owner must have been a formidable force in the Nirvana Realm when alive.

Lin Langtian maintained his focus, swiftly gathering the Nirvana Pills scattered across the floor.

In less than a minute, his powerful mental energy had swept the chamber clean.

”Thirty thousand Nirvana Pills!” he said, patting the full Qiankun Bag with a satisfied smile.

With this colossal sum, he now possessed more Nirvana Pills than most people in the Great Yan Empire, except perhaps for the royal family and a few top-tier forces.

His lips curled into a slight grin.

”Half-Step Nirvana Realm, I’m getting closer to you.”
