Chapter 724: Chapter 282: Clash! Hammer Against Hammer (Two-in-One Mega Chapter)

Two hours ago…

Inside a room on the second floor of Earl Habbs’s mansion.

After pondering for a long time, Rein decided to first upgrade the advanced secret skill “Crushing Hammer” to a top-level secret technique.

There were two reasons, the first was that the “Soul Crushing Warhammer” of the Warhammer Wizard (Legendary) required enemies to die by the warhammer to trigger its enhancement effect, according to the system description.

Obviously, the stronger the hammer skill, the more powerful the enemies that could be killed by the warhammer, and the greater the enhancement.

The second reason was what Langgeler had said before, that the key for a Great Knight to step into the realm of Legendary lay in mastering the Radiance of Will, and the same-level secret skill “Sword Blade Storm·Modified” was a combination of innate wizardry and a secret technique.

It couldn’t be considered a pure swordsmanship mystery.

Rein vaguely felt that to grasp the Radiance of Will, it might be better to focus on pure hammer skill or swordsmanship mysteries without mixing in witchcraft.

Having made up his mind, Rein checked the conditions for promoting “Crushing Hammer” to a top-level secret technique again:

“One, any Extraordinary Hammer Technique lv18 or above; two, Bear King Breathing Method lv18 or above; three, Strength 45 points, Agility 38 points, Constitution 40 points or above; four, consume 4 Golden Skill Points.”

He then checked his attribute panel:

…

Constitution: 39

Strength: 46

Agility: 44

Spirit: 55

…..

Rein found that he was only lacking 1 point in Constitution to meet all the conditions.

Naturally, he didn’t hesitate and quickly added 1 attribute point to his Constitution.

As his Constitution also reached the threshold of 40, Rein completely satisfied the attribute point requirements for the top-level secret technique.

Next came the consumption of 4 Golden Skill Points to level both the hammer skill and the Bear King Breathing Method to lv18 and then selected “Promote”!

Instantly, a torrent of memories from the training of “Crushing Hammer” surged into Rein’s mind!

In a mysterious space, it was as if Rein, undistracted, had been diligently practicing the advanced hammer skill mystery “Crushing Hammer” for three or four decades, and in the final moment, achieved a breakthrough!

The system prompt appeared again:

[Congratulations, you have comprehended the top-level hammer skill mystery: Annihilating Hammer!]

“Annihilating Hammer? Has the name changed as well?”

However, seeing the words “Top-level Secret Technique,” a smile couldn’t help but appear on Rein’s lips!

He had finally mastered a top-level secret technique!

On the Weapon Master (Legendary) panel, the hammer skill mystery “Crushing Hammer” also synchronously changed to “Annihilating Hammer.”

The icon underwent significant changes as well.

The figure now depicted a dark, heavy hammer swinging downward, and around the head of the hammer, ripples spread out like waves in concentric circles.

Unlike the previous lifelike depiction of shattering boulders, this picture looked more like an abstract painting.

After all, the extent of the ripples’ power was unknown.

The small print at the bottom right of the icon had also changed:

Annihilating Hammer (Top-level Secret Technique) Effect: Employ a primal force combined with Shock techniques, with the addition of a sliver of the Will’s power, to deliver a mighty strike that can annihilate both the tangible and intangible.

(Note: To advance Annihilating Hammer to Basic Annihilation Field, the following conditions must be met: one, Strength 60 points, Agility 50 points, Constitution 55 points, Will 3 points or above; two, consume 8 Golden Skill Points.)

“This is…”

“A field?”

“Has it started to transcend the scope of a mere technique?”

Rein keenly noticed the key word “field” in the remarks, although it only spoke of a Basic Annihilation Field, it was evident that the power of this Annihilation Field was above that of a top-level secret technique.

At the same time, Rein immediately thought of the elementary Fire-type witchcraft “High-Temperature Field” that he had learned before, which also contained the word “field.”

But clearly, there was a huge difference between the two.

Additionally, Rein noticed that the subsequent promotion of the top-level secret technique “Annihilating Hammer” had deviated from the requirement of hammer skill, and it even moved away from the breathing method requirement.

Displayed were only two prerequisite conditions: attribute points and Golden Skill Points.

There was a sense of moving from complexity to simplicity!

“Huh, Will 3?”

Rein quickly noticed this newly emerged attribute item.

“But I don’t have Will as an attribute.”

Rein, with a slight frown, immediately called up his attribute panel.

His eyes abruptly widened as the panel now surprisingly included a new Will attribute:

…

Constitution: 40

Strength: 46

Agility: 44

Spirit: 55

Will (hidden attribute): 1

(Note: Will is a hidden attribute and cannot be improved by adding attribute points.)

…

“How did I suddenly have 1 point of Will?”

Rein appeared thoughtful.

“Could it be that this 1 point of Will comes from the process of upgrading my advanced secret skill ‘Crushing Hammer’ to the top-level secret technique ‘Annihilating Hammer’ just now?”

“It seems that’s the only explanation.”

While Rein was contemplating this question, a knock suddenly sounded on the door.

“Knock knock knock! Rein?”

Cleya’s familiar voice came from outside the door.

Rein opened the door to see Lady Cleya holding an ancient-looking parchment scroll, standing at the doorway with a smile.

“Miss Cleya, please come in.”

Cleya nodded and stepped into the room.

“Rein, there’s something I’d like to discuss with you,” she said.

“But before that, I have something for you which might provide some inspiration for grasping Will.”

“This is a manuscript written by an ancestor of the Habus family based on their own experiences on how they comprehended the Radiance of Will,” Cleya explained as she handed the parchment scroll to Rein.
