The Unveiling of Secret Queen

On the other side, at the Maybelissa headquarters in the Illegal Zone.

Khendy Lordon realized a bit late that Nathalie Quinlan had hung up the phone. His lips maintained a slight upward curve, his eyes half-squinting, looking very relaxed.

If it weren’t for the fact that he was sitting in a wheelchair with a heavy blanket over his legs, he would certainly be a strikingly handsome man.

Valencia Jett came in from outside and saw Khendy Lordon sitting there, in a good mood, looking at his Phone and chuckling. Unable to help but raise an eyebrow, she walked in and asked him, ”Boss, what good thing happened that you’re smiling so happily?”

Khendy Lordon looked up and saw that it was her who had come in. The smile on his face slightly restrained, but he couldn’t hide his good mood. He said, ”Have you seen my post?”

”... Not yet. Did you post something? Let me see.” Valencia Jett took out her Phone, scrolled through her posts, and quickly found the cheesy post Khendy Lordon had made two hours ago. Her mouth twitched as she looked at Khendy Lordon, commenting: ”... Well, it’s very unique.”

Khendy Lordon asked her with interest: ”What style do you think suits me?”

Valencia Jett squinted her eyes, momentarily doubting her own ears: ”Boss, you want to change your style?”

Khendy Lordon was quite busy every day, sometimes so busy that he didn’t even have time to sleep!

But this in no way hindered his pace of updating one post a day, bombarding her post with cheesy romantic lines he scavenged from who knows where, to the point where she wanted to block Khendy Lordon.

”Is my current style not good?” Khendy Lordon raised an eyebrow, gentle and refined, but with just that slight raise of the eyebrow, he gave off an elegant scoundrel vibe in an instant.

He wheeled his chair back to his desk and nonchalantly put his Phone back on the desk.

Seeing his action, Valencia Jett didn’t know how to respond: ”It’s not bad, per se. How should I say it, it’s so unique that it’s hard for most people to accept.”

”I thought she wasn’t most people.” Khendy Lordon replied in a low voice.

Valencia Jett didn’t quite catch what he said but caught the murmured ’she’ in Khendy Lordon’s tone, and instantly understood what was going on.

”You mean Nathalie?”

”Did Nathalie say anything about you?”

Khendy Lordon didn’t hide: ”I asked her to like my post, she refused and even told me to learn to post in a different style.”

”...” Valencia Jett already had a picture forming in her mind. She could almost imagine how agitated Nathalie Quinlan was upon seeing Khendy Lordon’s post and how she suppressed her internal frustration, gently hinting him to change his style.

Valencia couldn’t help but giggle and indeed, burst into laughter unreservedly.

Catching Khendy Lordon’s gaze, she quickly covered her mouth with her hand, coughed to ease the awkwardness, and awkwardly said, ”I think Nathalie might not be used to your way of expression, boss. Zenlans are all reserved, Nathalie has grown up in Zenla; she just can’t quite grasp your point.”

She hadn’t even finished her next line, ’Perhaps, you could be more subtle.’

When Khendy Lordon, lost in thought, supported his chin with his hand and concluded, ”You mean I should make my posts clearer next time?”

Valencia Jett: ”...” That’s not it, I didn’t, stop making stuff up!

But Khendy Lordon couldn’t see her inner rejection, feeling enlightened: ”Got it. Next time, I’ll be clearer with my posts.”

He tidied up the Document on the table, neatly placing them aside, and instructed Valencia Jett: ”Go and tell the Kingsleys Family people that we have a Cooperation with the diamond magnate and it’s inconvenient to make a move. Let them figure it out themselves.”
