The Unveiling of Secret Queen

”The tutor is the one who let you join the semiconductor project. No matter how much she fusses, she wouldn’t dare to go against the tutor’s wishes. You don’t need to worry too much.” He was afraid Nathalie Quinlan would be concerned, so he gave her a considerate reassurance.

Nathalie Quinlan never worried about what Leony Davidson could do; she simply hadn’t expected Harvey Cadorette and Denny Harrison to stand by her side.

She responded affirmatively.

At that moment, her phone rang.

Nathalie Quinlan took the excuse of replying to a message and temporarily walked to the side.

She took out her phone and looked down.

It was Nicholas Fuller.

Nicholas Fuller sent her a message through the group chat, a brief sentence—[Greenie: Sun, do you know Master Cadmus and Amadeus?]

Nathalie Quinlan felt even more puzzled in her heart, pressed her lips together, and responded to him with a message.

A moment passed.

Nicholas Fuller’s message came again.

[Greenie: Orson Saban came to see me at noon, saying he received a recommendation letter, Master Cadmus and Amadeus jointly recommended you.]

Nathalie Quinlan leaned against the wall, half-squinting her eyes, reading the second half of Nicholas Fuller’s message, ’Amadeus was his most proud student, and Orson Saban said Amadeus rarely mentions anyone. Since Amadeus wrote a letter to recommend you, he wants to see your potential.’

Nathalie Quinlan slowly put away her phone, her eyelashes lowered.

She already knew why Orson Saban suddenly changed his mind.

It was Amadeus Yancey.

Amadeus Yancey went to Orson Saban and gave him a recommendation letter jointly written by himself and Master Cadmus.

This was why Orson Saban changed his mind halfway.

Nathalie Quinlan’s fingertips were indeed cold, yet her heart seemed to have a blaze raging, stirring faint tremors.

With her eyelashes lowered, she sketched a smile at the corner of her lips, she hadn’t tried relying on anyone before, but it seemed that occasionally leaning on someone wasn’t too bad!

In the following week, Nathalie Quinlan began learning while following Orson Saban around.

Orson Saban was very busy.

He often needed to deal with trivial matters outside the experiment, so once he entered the laboratory, he was always fully committed, rarely distracted.

He agreed to mentor Nathalie Quinlan, as he indeed said, mostly just letting her watch him operate without giving her many opportunities to do hands-on work.

Whether Nathalie Quinlan could understand or not, he took no responsibility.

Harvey Cadorette was relatively kinder.

Every time Orson Saban finished an experiment with the two of them, Harvey Cadorette would take the chance for Nathalie Quinlan to record the experiment data and briefly go through the steps Orson Saban just did and the specialized knowledge points involved.

Orson Saban carried out experiments all categorized at difficulty level 8.

Initially, Harvey Cadorette worried that Nathalie Quinlan might not learn anything just by watching.

However, to his surprise, in this field, Nathalie Quinlan had exceptional talent. Basically, every time Harvey Cadorette explained to the girl, she could grasp the main points inside and record them completely.

Gradually, Harvey Cadorette and Nathalie Quinlan became increasingly coordinated.

He began to assign some simple odd jobs for Nathalie Quinlan to handle.

Anyway, he himself was watching from the side, and if Nathalie Quinlan didn’t do well, he could immediately correct it, ensuring it wouldn’t delay Orson Saban’s experiments.

Because Nathalie Quinlan needed to keep up with Orson Saban’s pace, plus Orson Saban didn’t follow the normal apprentice-guidance process, despite her extraordinary talent in weapon manufacturing and black gunpowder, to keep up with their pace, Nathalie Quinlan needed to be fully committed, spending more time and energy than ordinary people.

In this week, she has been basically leaving early and returning late.
