Ms. Diviner: The Prodigal Daughter's Return

Just as his longsword was halfway slashed out, ”pop,” that little flame suddenly extinguished, with the last flicker resembling a mocking smile.

Long Wudang’s sword paused mid-air. His flushed face turned a bit purplish as if he had been thoroughly mocked once again.

”Pfft!” Seeing Long Wudang’s red-faced, stunned expression, Shen Yuhe and a young female priest couldn’t help but burst into laughter.

Even Long Wudang’s subordinates found his appearance amusing, though they dared not laugh out loud.

”I’ll kill you!” Though they didn’t laugh out loud, Long Wudang sensed the laughter in their eyes. Filled with rage, he flew forward, slashing towards Han Yan with his sword.

His black robe fluttered loudly, his speed as swift as a streak of black light.

A yellowish qi light burst forth through the sword, forming a massive stone spike that carried immense pressure and a chilling killing intent.

”Watch out!” An Xiaxin, Shen Yuhe, and Sikong Qinglan shouted.

Given Han Yan’s earlier weak and adorable little flame, how could it possibly withstand the furious strike of a Ninth-level Divine Priest? As they exclaimed, the three of them had already rushed forward.

Unfortunately, their strength was still inferior to Long Wudang’s. Shen Yuhe and Sikong Qinglan had just been injured, so their hasty intervention was too late.

Seeing the stone spike condensed by the Sword Light getting closer to Han Yan, the three felt a chill in their hearts.

Although Han Yan had experience dealing with Kang Qingyuan, Long Wudang’s speed still surprised her, prompting an instinctive sword slash in response. This time, with prior experience, Han Yan’s Fire Manipulation Divine Skill was more adept.

Red light flickered, and another flame flew out.

A flame, another flame... Sikong Qinglan and the others felt their hearts plummet into an Ice Valley.

Long Wudang’s face turned ashen; to him, this flame was a blatant humiliation. Allowing it to fly towards him, Long Wudang couldn’t be bothered to block it. Such a tiny flame wouldn’t harm him in the slightest, and he wouldn’t repeat the mistake of embarrassing himself.

The stone spike formed by the Sword Light was getting closer to Han Yan, while the little flame was naturally getting closer to Long Wudang. Suddenly, with a ”whoosh,” the tiny flame expanded in the wind, transforming into a fireball the size of a basin.

”Ah!” Completely unprepared, Long Wudang was struck on the head by the fireball, and his entire head was engulfed by roaring flames, eliciting a piercing scream. His body flew horizontally.

His Divine Sense disrupted, the stone spike formed by the Sword Light also slowed, allowing Han Yan to easily dodge it. It shattered explosively after flying ten-some yards.

Everyone around was astonished; no one expected this outcome. Wasn’t it a little flame just now? How did it suddenly become a large fireball?

”Young master, young master, how are you?” Shortly after, his group of followers snapped out of their daze and rushed over.

”Get lost, all of you!” Long Wudang leaped up from the ground, pushing them away.

”Wretched woman, you dare to trick me!” Long Wudang pointed at Han Yan, shaking with rage.

Though he quickly activated his Divine Sense to circulate spiritual power and protect his body, he was still a beat slow, resulting in a head resembling an exploded bird’s nest, wisps of blue smoke rising from it, looking as if he’d just been struck by lightning.

The others finally grasped, albeit vaguely, that the earlier little flame was deliberately used by Han Yan to distract Long Wudang; her true strength lay behind it.

Such a cunning priest, such formidable stratagem. Looking at Han Yan, everyone’s gazes subtly changed.

Han Yan felt somewhat helpless. This time, she truly hadn’t used any cunning; the earlier little flame was purely the result of her initial inexperience with the Priest Divine Technique.

”How dare you mock me, Long Wudang! I will kill you! Kill you!” Long Wudang fiercely shook his head, shaking off a wisp of blue smoke, and charged towards Han Yan again.

If the earlier ”kill you” was just an angry outburst, Long Wudang now truly wanted to kill. With that roar, his longsword shone brightly, dazzling those around.

This time, An Xiaxin, Sikong Qinglan, and Shen Yuhe were prepared, simultaneously charging forward.

Despite Han Yan’s clever stratagem giving Long Wudang a harsh lesson, the Fire Manipulation Divine Skill, or Fireball Technique, was merely the most basic of Priest Divine Arts. How could it genuinely contend with a Ninth-level Divine Priest like Long Wudang?

However, just as they moved, Han Yan struck first with even greater speed, swinging out another sword.

A flame... another flame!

An Xiaxin, Sikong Qinglan, and the others broke out in cold sweat; it was the same move again. Did she think Long Wudang was an idiot?

Seeing An Xiaxin and the others make a move, Long Wudang’s entourage also prepared to take action. But seeing Han Yan outpace them, they stopped immediately. The young master was furious enough; it was better to let him vent his anger himself. Acting rashly might annoy him further.

As priests, they, of course, knew that such a Fireball Technique was but the lowest level of Priest Divine Arts. Earlier, Long Wudang was tricked and suffered a little because of defenselessness. Now with preparation, how could he suffer again?

”The same move again, courting death!” Seeing the drifting little flame, Long Wudang felt even more humiliated, roared loudly, and slashed at the flame with his sword.

Everyone knew it was just the most basic of Priest Divine Arts. However, having suffered earlier, losing face, he wouldn’t be as careless as before.

Of course, he didn’t regard Han Yan’s strength highly. If even a Ninth-level Divine Priest couldn’t deal with a mere novice priest, that would indeed be a huge joke.

”Young master, give her a hard lesson!” His followers cheered behind him.

But soon, their eyes widened.

The drifting little flame expanded with the wind as expected, turning into a basin-sized fireball in the blink of an eye. Then, just as Long Wudang’s sword struck, it suddenly expanded again. A massive fireball nearly a yard in diameter instantly engulfed Long Wudang.

”You, trickster again... ah...” Long Wudang hadn’t finished his sentence when he was blasted away with a scream.

Everyone was once again dumbfounded, even An Xiaxin and the others, left behind by Han Yan, instinctively halted.

Even from behind Han Yan, they sensed the immense power contained within the giant fireball. This was simply not something a newly initiated priest who had just undergone Divine Baptism could wield. Even if they exerted all their power, it would be no more than this, if not worse. Of course, given their strength, it wouldn’t be possible for them to use such a low-level Fireball Technique again.
