Ms. Diviner: The Prodigal Daughter's Return

Chapter 633: 633 hurry up and find someone to marry

”True, hmm... such events are not uncommon among big families, considered a tale worth telling, I suppose.” Despite struggling to accept it, Mu Cheng tried to comfort himself, given it was about his own family brother.

However, thinking of the term ’tale worth telling’ gave him an urge to vomit. It was said that thousands of years ago, such things were indeed treated as beautiful tales, but that was thousands of years ago; people nowadays did not have that kind of refined taste.

”Tale worth telling, my ass; the key point is that Han Yan has no interest in him. You must know what his new nickname is, right? Mu Siyi, known for tearing up ladies’ dresses. Do you think he could be interested in men?” Wu Qiuyun asked.

Suddenly, Mu Cheng felt that even if Mu Hanyan’s improper habit was an embarrassment and brought shame to the family reputation, it was still better than Long Yang’s preference. At least his tastes could be considered normal.

”Are you worried that Yan Yuchu forced his way?” After thinking it through, Mu Cheng finally understood Wu Qiuyun’s concern and felt a chill in his heart.

As they spoke, the two had already rushed to Mu Hanyan’s door.

Wu Qiuyun lifted his leg to kick the door but was stopped by Mu Cheng, ”Wait, don’t be so impulsive. Let’s ask first.”

The more Mu Cheng interacted with Mu Hanyan, the more he appreciated his enigmatic nature and grew to respect him. He always felt that even if Yan Yuchu had dirty thoughts, it wouldn’t be easy to harm Mu Hanyan, so he was much calmer than Wu Qiuyun.

As he said this, Mu Cheng knocked on the door, but after several knocks, there was no response. Now, Mu Cheng also grew a bit anxious. He reached out and pushed open the door; after all, it was just an ordinary inn without any sophisticated mechanisms or prohibitions to stop a swordsman like him.

As the door opened, they saw Mu Hanyan sitting cross-legged, neatly dressed and cultivating. They both let out a long sigh of relief.

”So, he was Cultivating. You gave me quite a scare,” Wu Qiuyun said, patting his chest.

”Something’s not right,” Mu Cheng commented, not nearly as relaxed. His brow furrowed as he spoke.

Following his gaze, Wu Qiuyun’s heart lifted once again.

At first glance, seeing Mu Hanyan safe and sound had put his mind at ease, and he hadn’t looked too closely. Now he noticed that Mu Hanyan’s eyes were tightly shut, his expression exceptionally grave. His face was covered with sweat, and there were even blood streaks on his lips from being bitten, indicating that the situation was indeed very perilous.

”Brother Han Yan must be at a critical point in his Cultivation. We must not disturb him,” Mu Cheng hastily said, cautiously closing the door.

”It’s good we didn’t startle him just now; otherwise, the trouble would’ve been serious,” Wu Qiuyun said, filled with hindsight fear, after Mu Cheng closed the door.

Judging by Mu Hanyan’s condition, it was very likely he was on the verge of a breakthrough. Any slight error could lead to losing control, and a sudden shock could severely wound him and waste his cultivation.

If such a result were to happen, it wouldn’t just be Mu Cheng fighting him; he wouldn’t be able to forgive himself.

”Qi Yun, I have a suggestion for you. When you get back to the Wu Family, you should quickly find someone to marry,” Mu Cheng looked at Wu Qiuyun earnestly and said.

”Why?” Wu Qiuyun was puzzled by the sudden change of subject.

”I’m afraid your vigor is too strong. With rage fueling your mind, you might develop a disorder from all the messed-up thoughts you harbor.” Mu Cheng teased. It seemed he had finally stepped out of Fourth Miss Zhao’s shadow and regained some of his youthful buoyancy.

”Hmm, you have a point. Do the Mu Family have any suitable sisters to help match me up?” Wu Qiuyun didn’t take offense and responded with a grin.
